Lex's Plumbing came out on call via our Home warranty. The service was at our house for less in 5 minutes. One guy did not even get out of the truck. He stated he could not fix the problem, did not come in the house, did nothing, and stated that he would not charge me the 75.00 fee from the Home Warranty. 30 days latter, I received the bill, After calling and disputing the bill with the Home Warranty, they called to talk to Lex's it took two months to get a response from them. The tech lied and said he looked at the plumbing and could not fix the problem and had to pay the fee. Bottom line the techs lie and don't do a thing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DONT NOT HONOR THIER WORD

I had a great experience with Lex's plumbing and Robert White. My T&P valve was leaking on one of my hot water tanks while I was out of town. I called Lex's late expecting to just leave a voicemail but I ended up speaking to Alex. I explained the problem and he set up an appointment for when I would be back in town.
Robert called when he was on his way. Once he arrived he didn't even knock on my door with a crescent wrench. Used the doorbell like a regular person. Robert identified himself, wore shoe covers, replaced the valve, checked everything, cleaned up, and gave estimates on a few other things I was just throwing around.
I was tagging along while he was working and he was explaining everything, answerd any questions I had from life expectancy of hot water tanks, brands recommended, tankless heaters, and just the normal chit chat.
No sales pressure.

I found the price to be reasonable and in line with other plumbers around the Frisco, McKinney, Allen area.
I realize Alex has a business to run, pay his employees, truck fleet, advertising, tax man, and make a living...So I will gladly pay for an honest and reputable plumbing company.

Also FYI if you haven't bought a water heater in the last year there are new regulations on hot water tank efficiency. Not only are they larger now due to the mandated insulation they are more expensive as well.
This was part of The Department of Energy's National Appliance Energy Conservation Act.

Again I have used several different plumbers over the past few years. I was impressed with Lex's and they are saved in my contact for any future work.

I wouldn't pay any attention to the negative reviews.

Don't EVER use Lex's Plumbing. They are the worst company I've ever dealt with. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I have my warranty with American Home Shield so that's how I crossed paths with them. My T&P valve was leaking at the exterior drain line of my patio so I called AHS. They sent Lex's Plumbing out on the 3rd week of July 2016. The plumber, Robert White, tinkered with the T&P valve on my water heater and said he was able to fix the leak. He also gave me the replacement price, $1,600 including parts, labor, etc. Very steep, crazy, price but I did not argue, thanked him for the quote and he left. Less than a week later the leak started again but because I was out of town, I wasn't able to address the issue until the 3rd week of August 2016. Same guy comes back out with a new T&P valve to replace the old one. Long story short, he broke the T&P valve on my water heater while trying to remove it. He then admits that the REAL reason he did not replace it the first time he was out here in July was because it was stuck and he hadn't been able to get it out. So basically, he lied about tinkering with it and everything being okay. He then refused to accept that he broke it (Who did, the poltergeist in this house????), later reporting to AHS that the valve "crumbled" because of old age and arguing with me about what happened. Robert then proceeds to drain my 50-gal water heater, all in anticipation of the price-gouging they're about to hit me with. I'm left with no access to hot water of course. I find out after he leaves that he actually ordered another water heater through AHS, something I never authorized. Lex's claims they did not order it, by the way, and that AHS automatically orders one after the contractor calls. That's B.S., says AHS, because they first have to speak with the homeowner to determine what steps they'd like to take. For example, they have a cash out option and some home owners go that route. I was going to call them to discuss all my options before deciding what to do and Robert had no right to make any decisions for me. Here comes the kicker. Lex's Plumbing sends me a receipt for the out of pocket costs I would pay, costs that my AHS warranty does not cover and it was for $1,121. Every line item on the invoice was at least 3 1/2 times the retail, some of them as high as 5 times more. A few examples to prove my point: the town I live in charges $50 for the water heater permit, Lex's invoice price was $189. I can understand a company charging me $20 - $30 extra for driving less than 4 miles to the town office to fill out a form to get this done. But to charge me $139 more for this is not right. It's IMMORAL! They were going to charge me $289 for an expansion tank when they retail for between $30 and $40. $249 for water modification when NOTHING like that is needed and even if it was, no more than $50. I could go on and on with the items on the NONSENSICAL invoice they e-mailed me. After speaking with AHS and telling them to cancel that water heater ordered, I got the installation done by a VERY reputable plumbing company for $700. That price included everything my town needed to bring the installation up to code. I then report Lex's to bbb.org and in their response to my complaint, Lex's compounds their lies by accusing me of calling the office manager and "yelling at her". I was shocked! Who are these people??? I am left with no other recourse and have made it my mission to tell the whole world how bad this company is. I was thinking that maybe, just maybe, their employee Robert White was the one bad apple over there but it looks like they're all the same. Even if you wanted to side with your employee to avoid paying me anything, you could have done it in a way that would convey your regret without accepting fault but to lie in this way tells me the whole company is rotten to the core.

I was experiencing low hot water pressure and I was assigned Lex's Plumbing by my Home Warranty company. I'm usually not to excited about the companies they send my way but this was definitely a pleasant surprise. The plumber that came to my house was Matt. He was very professional and courteous. He and his helper wore shoe covers when they entered my home. He figured out what the problem was in a matter of minutes and had my hot water working very quickly. No attempt to upcharge me for things that "weren't covered" under my home warranty. I was very satisfied and would recommend this this company.

While it's not fun to have a gas leak, I'm glad I used Lex's to fix it! Chris was prompt and professional. It turned out that it was just a fitting above the riser at the meter, so the cost was less than originally thought. During the pressure test, there were several other leaks found, as the system wouldn't maintain the pressure. Chris did a great job of isolating and tracking (even listened to my suggestions!) Overall I'm very pleased with their work and will use them in the future

From my initial contact with a representative from this company, I was greeted courteously and professionally. Chris Morse arrived at my home introduced himself and his apprentice, and asked questions to assess the nature of my plumbing issue. Chris immediatley came up with a non evasive solution to my issue, and was able to make the repair in about an hour. After completing the repair he explained what was done, and offered suggestions to prevent future issues of this nature. He then asked if there were any additional plumbing questions or issues I had in my home that he could assist with. In summary Chris went beyond my expectations and completed the job efficiently and effectively. My experience was excellent and I would recommend Lex's Plumbing without hesitation to anyone.

I am really not sure why so many folks have given Lex's Plumbing such bad reviews on Yelp. To be honest, if I had read these reviews I would have been afraid to have them enter my house. I also was first introduced to them via my Home Warranty Company over a year and half ago.

In my case they have come to fix issues through my home warranty and also outside of my home warranty company that the warranty company does not cover. I have also had other Plumbers come out here as well (because the Home Warranty company sends random vendors each time). I guess I have a lot of plumbing issues :) Regardless, out of all of them, Lex's Plumbing definitely stands out in friendly customer service and excellent quality of workmanship.

I have dealt with Mike, Chris, and Robert (all in person). All 3 of them are extremely professional. Chris always wears Shoe covers (whereas the other 2 do not) which is a plus when my wife is at home. I have had them fix burst pipes in my backyard twice, and install sink faucets twice, and they do a great job from start to finish. I can say that Mike and Robert for sure do a quality job in not only fixing up the issue but also making sure nothing will repeat. Chris is also nice, but he has not done anything complicated for me as of yet.

I have also had Lex's Plumbing quote me on replacing my 17 Year old Water heater, and they have given me a fair quote. I would say that it took a lot of effort for me to get them to give me a quote because I have a 75 Gallon water heater and its a tough job. In general I would say they are not the cheapest player in town, but atleast for me they do quality work, and I am happy with them.

If it is simple task (Drain Clogs, Toilet Clogs, etc), just try to do it yourself by buying the tools at Home Depot. If it is something more complex, I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

These guys are Awesome! I filed a claim around 2pm one afternoon to deal with issues I found after tenants had moved out of my rental. I filed the claim thru my Home Warranty with the expectation that it would be the next day before they called me back. 30 minutes later I had a call back and Mike was at the house to deal with the issue an hour later. He quickly fixed a leak at the washer connection and an issue with the shower faucet. Great job from an appreciative and stressed landlord!

I had a water leak in one of my hot water heaters in the attic. Called Lex's Plumbing, and Alex showed up about an hour later. We looked at the water heater, and Alex professionally walked me through three options. He took a lot of time to explain the pros and cons of each option.

In the end, I went with the least cost option and accepted the risk. Alex was supportive of the decision and quickly completed the job.

This is the second time I've used Lex's plumbing, and would happily do so again. Alex was probably the most courteous, well spoken plumber I've ever had.
