Long story short: I haven't had consistent hot water in six months. I get hot water for about 5-10 minutes and then finish my showers in the cold. My mom kept hiring incompetent people who did not care to truly troubleshoot the issue. Some of them wouldn't even stay for 5-10 minutes to wait for the hot water to shut off. They would quickly look at the water heater and say it looked fine and left.

I finally hired my own plumber (from another company) and one of the first things he asked me was where the control unit was for my tankless water heater. I had no idea; I didn't know my unit was supposed to have a controller. The plumber wasn't able to find any issues with the water heater either and even took apart my fixtures to try to check things out. I contacted the manufacturer (Takagi) and they gave me a list of service providers near me. Level Up Plumbing was on the list. I called immediately and they were able to get a specialist out to me within a day or two. The specialist educated me on tankless water heaters, aerators, mineral buildup, and a bunch of other things I was ignorant about. I also have a better understanding of what things to look out for going forward if I run into this type of issue again. I'm really grateful that the specialist took his time and really thoroughly examined and tested everything. The specialist kept me in the loop about the things he was going to do. He also told me how he eliminated certain possible diagnoses based on his testing results. He asked for permission before moving forward with anything. He thought my problem was ultimately a flow issue due to calcium and mineral buildup in the aerators. He took apart the fixtures and showed me how disgusting they were and he also mentioned things that the construction workers/contractors should have done after building my ADU (i.e., flush out the water or at least let it run for a while to flush out any minerals and rocks that may have contaminated the water during construction. The contractor/construction workers never did that which probably contributed to faster buildup). The buildup caused water flow issues which could have deactivated the water heater. From this new information, I was able to Google parts and replace my aerators on my own. I really appreciate the thoroughness of the troubleshooting, how prompt the specialist was, how quickly I was able to get an appointment, and how much information I have learned through this process!

I'm knocking off one star because pricing is high; they charge you just to come out and other plumbing companies charge less or don't charge until they officially have a solid diagnosis or need to fix the heater. Additionally, my problem still remains...after replacing and cleaning parts, I'm still getting cold water after 5-10 minutes of showering. I'm hesitant to call back because I don't want to be charged again if they come out. However, I can see why Level Up Plumbing charges a lot as their employees are very knowledgeable and everyone I have spoken to over the phone have been very courteous and nice. This is just out of my price range at this point. Anyway, if you're looking for plumbers specialized in water heaters and budget is not an issue, check these guys out!

NO show up on the day of the appointment
Problem with making an appointment. The technician never showed up.
Wasting time. I should have called another company.

Do NOT hire this company! They charge an excessive fee for little to no work performed. This company seems focused on making money without the customer service you would expect from a neighborhood plumber. They charged me $235 for a technician to come out and reset the gas control valve on my water heater, essentially lighting my pilot light. He literally took less than 5 minutes and just moved a switch to reset. No parts were replaced. Nothing touched on the water heater except to turn a switch. This was definitely not worth $235 for labor. When I asked for a discount, an amount that would better reflect service provided as no labor was actually done, the receptionist on the phone was very rude and aggressive towards me. They asked for my credit card number before the technician even came out. I discovered later that they charged my credit card but they never provided me with an invoice or a receipt for the service. I will never use this company ever again.

I thought to give heads up to anyone that looks at these reviews to say how impressed with Tony and he was beyond my expectations as someone who knows their profession. I experienced a leak in my commercial property, that just a week before was repaired by another. Although it wasn't the same pipe it was located very close together and the other plumber maybe pounded the area when he did he's repair but it was leaking again. Of course it's Saturday. Tony responded to my call, came after his prior job late in the afternoon and worked on this until it was repaired. Not an easy job and I had to be there because of the tenants not having water for a few hours. After being there and seeing what and how he works, I will continue working with him on all my properties. I'm old/ or old enough to know when someone is good at what they do and is a good relational person who can clearly communicate the situation. Rose Sire

I had an issue with my Noritz tankless hot water heater and the team at Level Up knew just how to fix it. The tech came out and explained in detail what the problem is and exactly how he as going to fix it. Took him less than 30 minutes for that issue. Also had a clogged sink that I thought for sure would be an expensive nightmare that turned out to be an easy fix for the pros here. I'll call them again for any plumbing issues!

Had low hot water flow in 3 showers. New home (6 years old). Called and got a plumber. He checked tankless heater and a few diagnostic things. He told me the flow valve was clogged on the hot water side. Cold water worked fine. He said he didn't have the parts to fix. i asked him to snake out my wife's bathroom sink. Said he didn't have a snake. Really. I got call and was told the cost would be $820. This didn't include the $235 I paid for the initial visit. I tried to get a breakdown of the hourly rate. Wouldn't give one. Asked what the parts would cost. Didn't tell me. Said they only work by the quoted job. I asked if they were going to charge me $820 if it only took 1 hour. Said yes. They may be good on service but I'd recommend getting another quote. BTW I got the job done by another plumber for $350!! Here less than 2 hours.

Of course, the day before Thanksgiving our water heater took a dump. Little did we know there was a recall on the gas valve and burner so we called the water heater company to get it replaced. They recommended 3 plumbing companies that can provide the recall service. Of the 3 companies, Level Up was the only company able and willing to help us out before the Holiday. Mike the Technician was professional, honest, and informative while providing service. He got it up and running quick. Thank you Mike!

If you are in need of a plumber Level Up Plumbing is your go to plumber. I was being raked thru the coals by several plumbers when I came across Level Up Plumbing and they came and did the job with a very reasonable cost and were very personable. I could not be any happier with Level Up Plumbing, a top notch company. Please ask for Tiffany, Jacqueline or Tony.

They came out the same day that I called them.
The owner made a special trip to get the only available part for my water heater from the manufacturer sales representative, so my family wouldn't be without hot water.
Total Stud!
Water heater is working great!
