LJI was founded as a subsidiary of Leon's Electric & Plumbing in Schulenburg, Texas, established by owner Leon John Langhamer. Leon acquired A&W, a established HVAC contractor in El Campo at that time. While there have been numerous changes from 2003 to now, one element has remained constant: Leon John's dedication to client satisfaction and excellence, no matter the cost.

Leon John acquired the value of the construction trades as a young alongside his father, Leon Henry, who founded Leon's Electric & Plumbing in Schulenburg, Texas in 1959. Over the time, Leon John earned state licenses in plumbing, electrical work, Environmental HVAC, and the refrigeration sector. His deep passion lies in the HVAC sector.
