LJI originated as a branch of Leon's Electric & Plumbing in Schulenburg, Texas, established by entrepreneur Leon John Langhamer. Leon purchased A&W, a well-known HVAC contractor in El Campo at that time. Although there have been numerous changes from 2003 to today, one element has stayed constant: Leon John's focus to customer service and quality, regardless of the expense.

Leon John learned the importance of the building industry as a young alongside his father, Leon Henry, who started Leon's Electric & Plumbing in Schulenburg, Texas in 1959. Over the years, Leon John earned state licenses in Plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and the refrigeration sector. His true passion lies in the HVAC field.
