Main water valve leak.
Called 8:30 am for an 11am-2pm time frame and arrived little after 12pm. I am providing the review on behalf of my parents who are elders. My parents raved over Omar, who provided the service. He was extremely knowledgeable, thorough and very kind. Kudos to Omar McCauley! You were quick and we appreciated your quick repair and in getting our water restored! No doubt you are a valued employee working at Len The Plumber! Thank you again!
We were tried $366 to snake one toilet. Total rip-off! I would not recommend this company.
The guys who showed up were professional.
I called at 9:30AM on a Saturday to schedule an emergency service and was pleased to be scheduled for that day between 2PM-5PM, and was told I would receive a call 30-45 minutes ahead of time to confirm I was home. A confirmation text message also confirmed those details. At 4:10 I was getting a little worried so I called again and was told by the answering service that a dispatcher would call and give me an update. No call was received. I called again at 5:15 and was told I would receive a call shortly. But y hey were a total NO CALL, NO SHOW!
The kicker for me, and why I will NEVER CALL LEN, is that I finally received what was described as a ""courtesy call"" at 4:57 on Sunday from someone looking to reschedule my service. The person said that I had missed my call, which I hadn't. So as we debated the point, and her story grew: I had missed three calls and that a voice message had been left, then she got sketchy on the details and settled on ""the calls were all Sunday to reschedule, because they didn't have techs available on Fathers Day"". Still, not true, no missed calls on my end. I offered to exchange call logs if she could share any evidence of a call being made to my number, because my phone confirmed that I had no voice messages and no missed calls from them.
Between the NO SHOW service and the rude call center, my advice is go small, go local, and NEVER CALL LEN THE PLUMBER.
I scheduled a plumber to replace a cartridge in a sink faucet. I had already removed the faucet and had the part. I just didn't have the strength to remove the old one. They were to come between 9 and 11. They called at 11 and said it would be late so I had to reschedule for the following day. I got a call at 9:15 saying the plumber would arrive in 30 minutes. After an hour I went to the concierge desk and they told me that he had arrived at the appointed time and he was sent to the security office to check in. A call to the security office confirmed he did not arrive. We looked around and found him sitting in his parked truck. He was too lazy to walk the length of the building. He could have driven as there is parking right out front or he could have contacted me, but he chose to do neither. I brought him up to the condo and left him to do his work with my husband supervising. I had a meeting which I left to attend. 30 minutes later I received a call from the office. The plumber is stuck in my elevator, which is not ppossible as all the elevators open on the first floor for safety reasons. I left my meeting and returned to my elevator and called it to the lobby. The plumber was pushing the button for the second floor not the one labeled with a 1 and a star. It cost over $200, and when I received the emailed invoice I found that the work was not even guaranteed ( specifically noted No Guarantee). Not very happy with the service.
This company is ridiculous. The plumbing technician was fine. Len the Plumber is a terrible company and I cannot give enough warning to avoid this company. We needed a small project done that I was told should not run more than $200-$400 MAX from another plumber. The tech had no control of the pricing and the project was more than Double the max. Len the Plumber refused to give an estimate in any way over the phone prior, even though the project was clearly stated to them. We had an existing water line to our fridge and we needed a shut off valve for it and the line to the fridge to be replaced (which we already had purchased with the new fridge) They charge almost $950 for that project. They also canceled our appointment 3 times after confirming our appointment causing us to miss work waiting around for them to cancel well into our appointment windows. The project also had a leak and needed the tech to return and they canceled the scheduled return visit to fix the issue. Apparently they never even contacted the tech the same day to let the tech know. They just said they had ""no one available"".
I also asked to get an itemized bill with specifics and they continue to send the same vague invoice with no explanations of the exuberant costs. I asked to speak to someone or a manager to assist with explaining the grossly overpriced service and was assured I would be contacted by two different individuals and no contact, no return call or email. Their techs should go elsewhere as Len the Plumber is a company that is a total rip-off and we will never use again. I would not have agreed to their services and just paid the $49.00 for their ridiculous estimate, but my husband was the one missing work on the day the finally showed up and was just sick of missing work to get the project done so agreed. Would not recommend Len the Plumber to anyone. I am giving 2 stars because they technically got the extremely overpriced project done and no one was directly rude.
Len
You responded to the fact that your initial statement that you'll charge 49.00 does for the initial site diagnostic doesnt align with what your techs are supposed to charge. Does that mean you'll refund the difference ?
Wish I would have read the reviews before placing a service call. The technician was great and diagnosed the problem fairly quickly. What I wasn't ready for was the price to repair. Unfortunately I had not done research on the price of the part to know any better but since we didn't have water I went a head with the repair. I am still waiting on them to provide itemized invoice instead of just a final cost. I wish I would have asked before signing what the breakdown of the price, but that's on me. I believe I was way overcharged. Called customer service, waiting to hear back.
The technician was completely professional and respectful to me and my wife.
I have no doubt of his professional credentials and years in service in the plumbing industry.
My only concern is that even though it was a Saturday afternoon when he came to our home, the end price was pretty steep for 65 minutes of work.
Being a 20+ year military retiree, and on a fixed income, I paid the bill in full right away.
But having a military discount would go a long way towards me using the service again.
I hope that his annual salary reflects why the steep price based on years of service and technical expertise.
But for those of us who are on a fixed income please consider offering a discount of even 10%.
Thank you!
Our a/c stopped blowing cool air. We scheduled and had a tech out within a day. The tech was great- very friendly and straightforward. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave an estimate of just north of $800. Doing a quick read on average cost for our particular issue (repair/replace some electrical components) was between $170-$400. I mentioned this to the tech and he said that's the company price. We discussed a previous repair on a different component, which cost about $500...he said their price was $900. Loved the service, the tech was great, but the price was wrong, Len. Ended up replacing the components myself for $89. I get that the costs, training, maintenance, etc. for these companies is not cheap, but that kind of markup wasn't cool. Had there been a willingness to work on price or if it was more reasonable to begin with, I would've had them do the service.
Stopped up kitchen sink, so we called Len The Plumber. We were promised service between 11-2 the following day. No one showed up, and no one called to tell us. Is that any way to do business? I was forced to put down a star rating, but my preference is zero stars. More like Len The BUMMER!
