In his younger years, Mo excelled as a top-ranked national and international gymnast, later becoming a beloved coach.

Upon graduating from Chico, Mo transferred to the University of British Columbia to work on his Masters and gain a few more years of gymnastics eligibility.

Mo built the experience that makes the LeapFrog team trustworthy, learning plumbing and construction products and installation from the ground up at - do you remember? - Simon's Hardware in Walnut Creek and Home Depot in Concord.

Soon, Mo's entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to start his own business, LeapFrog Plumbing, where he and his team spring into action.

The technician arrived on time and quickly checked out my problem. He gave me a verbal quote of $250 to remove a clogged line from the water heater. It took him 5 minutes to fix the problem and he showed me what was causing my issue. I mentioned that it was an expensive charge for a simple solution so he gave me a break at $215.
Summary: on time and very knowledgeable but it was expensive. I think a charge of $100-125max is more reasonable for this job.

We've had a fantastic experience working with Leapfrog Plumbing in Walnut Creek. Their response time and professionalism goes above and beyond our expectations! Maurice, the owner, is involved on every level making sure that the work is done properly. In the past two weeks, they have been out at our house to diagnose and treat the sewer line problem that we were having. They were easy to reach and to communicate with and ultimately, they were successful in resolving our issue. I consider Maurice to be a fair business man and a lovely person to work with. I would also like to mention that both Amel and Gary, the two plumbers who were out at our home, are both professional and hard working also. I give Leapfrog Plumbing 5 Stars!

I have been remodeling my house for about 2 years and have worked with many different contractors, electricians and plummbers. The norm is they tell you a price and when they start the work they say ""oh..by the way..we did not know this or that so its going to COST MORE than what we originally thought"". WELL I AM HAPPY TO SAY MAURICE FROM LEAPFROG IS JUST THE OPPISITE. STRAIGHT GOOD GUY WHO WILL WORK WITH YOU TO GET YOUR PROBLEM SOLVED. I never ever have had someone tell me ""dont worry about paying extra to fix something""....just remember to use us again. I WILL FOR USE LEAPFROG AND TELL ALL MY FRIENDS TO USE LEAPFROG BECAUSE OF MAURICE.... by the way...my neighbor told me to use LEAPFROG because she also thinks there great. Give your business to a quality company....use LEAPFROG.

We bought a foreclosed house and when we moved in, the hot water heater was turned off, one of the toilets was not working and I wanted a plumber to check the washer and dryer lines. So I called Leapfrog and Maurice came on time after a pleasant phone scheduling. He said he did not recommend that we ever turn on the existing water heater because it was old and dangerous and that I should buy a new one. He provided a verbal quote of $3,000. He checked the washer and dryer lines which needed some modification to receive new equipment and he checked the toilet which needed a small valve. Total verbal estimate for both were around $400, in addition to $3,000.High on a newly purchased home and excited how nice Maurice was, I gave a preliminary OK and asked that he followed up with written detailed quotes. Couple of hours later, I started thinking back and wondering why the heck placing a new hose on the existing washer line was so expensive. Then my father-in-law compared his new water heater cost which was less than half of the quoted price. I went ahead and got another quote to compare. As a result, the second plumber I found turned on the existing water heater (!) saying it was in good shape, completed the toilet, washer and dryer related work, all for $217. It's been 1 year and water heater works just fine. I read someplace that you should not replace a water heater until it is broken, I like this recommendation which is also green. I read all these rave reviews about Leapfrog and Maurice, while I do not disagree with how personable he is, I would not contract him without bidding. I feel bad about writing this, but it is unfortunately a competitive market and should remain so. By the way, Maurice never followed up with a written detailed quote even though I asked him again after that initial meeting, to be able to to compare apples with apples.

I had banging pipes and Kevin (the 1st plumber) said the pressure regulator needed to be replaced ($500). They also replaced a toilet flapper for $125 which they ultimately waived, because it wasn't part of the price estimate. The banging pipes were not fixed so the owner came with Kevin. They then told me I actually needed an addition to my water heater and because it wasn't noticed the first time they'd give me a""customer service satisfaction"" discount @ 50%, but still in the hundreds of dollars. Fast forward, I had another plumber come over (not from Leapforog) and fix it for much less. I definitely got had with Leapfrog. I had a neighbor who also used them and she said they tried to sell her everything under the sun including a new water heater even though their's is less than 6 yrs old. They are nice, have good manners, flashy trucks, say their local, but I don't recommend them. In my opinion, not trustworthy.

Leapfrog saved me--I had a 50 gallon water heater that was just about to go (all over the floor, the bottom was rusting) and they arrived the next morning to give me prices and show me what they offered. They have a range of tankless heaters and tanks to match most budgets. They are well-qualified to install the range of heaters--which can be tricky with the higher-end tankless heaters. They removed my old heater and replaced it that same day so I never went without hot water. They were tidy, courteous, and funny. Kevin changed my water heater and I was happy to have him in my house helping me. You get what you pay for.

Since when is turning on the pilot light of a water heater cost $89???

Kevin, the plumber from Leapfrog Plumbing wasn't even there at my house very long to turn the pilot light on. He was even insisting to have our water heater replaced for $1600 and said that the pilot light may not stay on. Nice try, but thank goodness for instinct!!! The water heater is not even broke, just lost the pilot light is all (maybe due to strong winds over the weekend).

Kevin didn't know that upon my initial contact with Maurice on Saturday (when I first realize we didn't have heated water in the house) Maurice (who seem to be a nice guy) already mentioned it would cost us $1400 to have a 50 gallon water heater replaced (in case it would need it).

Kevin, the plumber who came out on Monday wanted to replace the water heater for $1600...??? When mentioned to him that Maurice gave us a quote for $1400, he said maybe you didn't mention that it is a 50-gallon water heater? What a come back! C'mon... some people do their research first ...

Anyway, glad that it didn't need replacement nor did it require a big job to repair our water heater but with the experience with Kevin on Monday we felt like this company is not trustworthy. I will call other companies before I even consider them. Avoid them by all means!!! Unless you want to be ripped off...

I called this company on a Saturday morning at 8:30am because of a leak. He came by within 30 minutes. Turns out it was an easy fix, and I'm just an idiot, but he didn't even charge me. I'll definitely be using them for future needs.

I had an old 75 gallon tank water heater replaced with a new tankless heater by Leapfrog. Maurice came out to give an estimate one day after my initial contact. He's a friendly, nice guy. He understood the job and looked at the installation options with me. We decided on a placement for the new water heater. He left and gave me a quote that day. I scheduled installation for a few days later.

They arrived and worked super fast. They did a good job. Pro installation, very clean and neat. There was one issue regarding a condensation drain line on the water heater, and they came back the next day and fixed it no problem. They arrived on time, they took their shoes off in my house, and everything works great. I'd use them again.

I had Leapfrog Plumbing come to our house to do the yearly cleaning of the sewer line (with camera inspection) and another time for some plumbing work.
Both time, Kevin (one of Leapfrog's plumbers) arrived on time, was very friendly and did an excellent job.
I could tell by talking to him and seeing him working throughout the day that he took pride in his work and did his best to meet the customer's needs/requests.
