You can learn a lot about a team by observing its leader: their integrity, attitude, and relationships with others.
Mo was raised in the Bay Area and attended DVC, CSU Chico, UC Berkeley, and ultimately, the University of British Columbia.
During his youth, Mo was a top-ranked national and international gymnast, and later, a cherished coach.
After graduating from Chico, Mo moved to the University of British Columbia to pursue his Masters and enjoy another couple of years of gymnastics eligibility.
Mo gained valuable experience that makes the LeapFrog team one you can trust, learning plumbing and construction products and installation from the ground up at - do you remember? - Simon's Hardware in Walnut Creek and Home Depot in Concord.
Before long, Mo's entrepreneurial drive led him to create his own company, LeapFrog Plumbing, where he and his team jump into action.

Be careful, they give me an outrageous bid. I needed four anglestops and supply extenders installed under the bathroom sinks. Gary phoned and arrived early but he gave me a $509 estimate, even though he knew it was only a 1 hour job and the parts cost less than $75. I declined the bid and started looking for another plumber. Two other plumbers quoted me $120 - $150 for labor. I bought the parts myself for $66 and paid $120 for the labor - which took less than 1 hour. So I paid $186 total (for excellent service) instead of $509.

When my old dishwasher went up in flames, Leapfrog came to the rescue and installed a new dishwasher. They also installed a new faucet, replacing the 50 yr. old one. Removing the old faucet was no easy task but they managed it when others had failed. They were immediately available, prompt, efficient, and did good work. Thanks Yelpers for helping me find Leapfrog!

We first used Leapfrog Plumbing in 2009 for a clogged sink drain. We had had an estimate from another plumber (Ben Franklin Plumbing) who said the only way to clear the line was to cut through the floor and all the way out to the street to lay a new line - $18,000 estimate! NO WAY! I called the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and was given Leapfrog's number. They had someone out that day. Although the solo plumber couldn't get the line cleared the first time, he said he'd be back later in the day with another piece of equipment and an assistant because he was confident they could get the job done, and they did!
Over the past four years, the drain started slowing down again, so yesterday I called them out, and the friendly and efficient plumber from Leapfrog showed up in the given timeframe, and again, he got the job done. He even gave me a price (which was reasonable) before he started the job so we wouldn't have any surprises.
I will only use Leapfrog - they do what they say: show up on time, get the job done, and clean up after themselves. They even wear covers on their shoes so the floor doesn't get dirty. Very impressive.

So my mom is visiting from out of town and sends a bunch of potato peels down the kitchen sink. On a Sunday afternoon. Her plumbing back home can handle that, but unfortunately mine can't. So I call the plumber I had come out last time, but unfortunately he wasn't available. So I turn to Yelp....
The person who answered the phone took down my information and forwarded it to a plumber in the field, who contacted me a few minutes later. He scheduled an appointment with me for between 5:30 and 7:30, which was pretty good since I called around 4:30. He showed up at 5:15.
It was a simple job. He was in and out of my house in 25 minutes. Minus one star because it was expensive (on the order of the national chains), but I was in a bind and w both knew it.

5:00pm on a Friday my toilet was clogged thanks to my potty-training 3 year old. I was panicked because we were expecting birthday party guests the next morning. I called Leapfrog, someone picked up on the first ring. 45 minutes later Terry was at my door. He clearly explained what he was going to do and the cost. He also explained the cost of the back up plan. Fortunately, Plan A worked and 15 minutes after that I had a working toilet.
Prompt, friendly, professional.
P.S. Terry even got from Danville to Orinda on a Friday evening without getting stuck in 680 traffic.

I have a tankless Noritz water heater that suddenly stopped producing hot water on a weekday morning. This is America and it is our manifest destiny to never take a cold shower! So I called several plumbers and was impressed with Leapfrog's customer service and the way they answered my questions. I called another company and immediately got the impression they would be up selling parts and repairs I didn't need.
Not the case with Leapfrog! From the beginning they said it was probably a routine problem and my heater just needed servicing. The other company was telling me I needed all these fancy parts.
Long story short, Kevin from leapfrog came, saw, and fixed my water heater to good as new condition and didn't charge me for stuff I didn't need. He was very cool and I was really impressed with this company's professionalism and how they aren't high pressure salesmen. Their calling is pipes. This is a great, honest, and responsive company that will take care of all your plumbing needs! They just got a customer for life.

My first experience with Leapfrog was very good. I had an issue with my water main on a Sunday and water was literally gushing down the road and couldn't be turned off. I couldn't find anyone to come out until I called Leapfrog and Maurice, the owner, came out himself and got the issue sorted out. I've also seen him at local community events, so I enjoy supporting business that participate in the community.
Our next plumbing issue came with our tankless toilet. The plumber they sent was not familiar with this type of system, so we needed to wait a few more days for someone else to come out (fair enough...). After a few more days, Maurice came out but they were still not able to figure out the problem or how to fix it. My father came out for a visit the following week and he's a very handy guy from the midwest but certainly not a plumber and definitely had no previous experience with a 'tankless toilet'. He was able to diagnose the problem, order the part online and fix it during the week he stayed with us.
Still wanting to support the plumber who came to my house in an emergency for the water main break, I called Leapfrog again as we had constant humming in our pipes that would only turn OFF when a faucet was running or toilet was flushed. The first guy they sent was clueless and couldn't determine why the pipes were humming, so Maurice came out. He also was unable to determine the cause of the problem and simply left it at that. I will say that they've never charged me when they come out and can't fix an issue.
A phone call to my dad in Wisconsin and he was able to walk us through diagnosing the problem ourselves and we isolated it to the water pressure valve (the very same one that Leapfrog replaced about a year ago). I contacted Leapfrog to see if they could check it out, left a message and they've never responded. Through Yelp, I found another plumber (Stefano) who's been amazing. He came out in one day and fixed a whole host of issues and was so incredibly knowledgable. He started out by cleaning out the water pressure valve since EBMUD has done a lot of work on the our street and found there was a ton of debris inside. That said, we will likely have to replace the water pressure valve that Leapfrog recently installed as it was apparently a fairly low cost model that simply isn't functioning properly.

We had to repipe a very old 4 plex in Lafayette and after getting 4 competitive bids choose Leap Frog because of the size of their company and the length of time in business and also being local. They were very professional, clean, and courteous to our tenants. It involved more than repiping they also had to redo a very old sewer line and Maurice the owner worked in trying to keep it reasonable since we already had such a large outlay of monies. I was always able to coummunicate with the person in charge and they kept me abreast of the job. Everyone that worked on it knew their job and tried to keep the inconviences of no water and etc. to a minimum. I could not be more pleased and would highly recommend them.

Leapfrog Plumbing is a stand-up business. Today, one of their great plumbers (Gordon) came to my house. I was impressed how much he could do in less than a day. He got my sink installed with faucet, disposal and everything. It looks good, everything is flush, and there are no leaks. He explained the details of his work and was very knowledgeable and professional. Maurice, the manager stands behind his work. The dispatchers are friendly and understanding as well.

I felt compelled to write a review on this business because I had a great experience. They are very professional, prompt, informative, and most of all, they don't make you feel like you are getting ripped off. They had great customer service and were very responsive. I had researched various companies and got three estimates, but this one offered the best cost estimate. I was very pleased with how quick I got my estimate and how fast they were able to come out and do the work. The first company I called for an estimate was, Letts Plumbing who didn't even tell me what the cost would be until two days later, and that was after I had called them twice requesting it. They also were a lot more expensive. Surprisingly, they were more than Roto Rooter, which I expected to be higher. I did have a good experience with Roto Rooter, yet their price was $200 more than Leapfrog. After I had the work completed, I decided to have Leapfrog come out again and do another job, which I was pleased with as well. The owner of the company and his employees that I encountered were great. I can honestly say I will definitely be a repeat customer and will recommend them to my friends and family.
