You can gauge a team by looking at its leader: their integrity, demeanor, and relationships with others.

Mo grew up in the Bay Area and studied at DVC, CSU Chico, UC Berkeley, and finally, the University of British Columbia.

In his early years, Mo was a highly ranked national and international gymnast, and later, a well-loved coach.

After graduating from Chico, Mo moved to the University of British Columbia to pursue his Masters and enjoy another couple of years of gymnastics eligibility.

Mo gained valuable experience that makes the LeapFrog team one you can trust, learning plumbing and construction products and installation from the ground up at - do you remember? - Simon's Hardware in Walnut Creek and Home Depot in Concord.

Soon, Mo's entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to start his own business, LeapFrog Plumbing, where he and his team spring into action.

Several weeks ago what looked like sewage came up our shower drain.

We made the routine calls that are required every 2 years (tree roots stick in our pipes) only this time, a new plumbing company showed up and quoted us MUCHOS dollars. This isn't our first rodeo so we called 3-4 more and the last appt was with LEAP FROG plumbing. A young man showed up, went down to our tiny crawl space where he spent what seemed like an appropriate amount of time to access properly what was happening. When he resurfaced and we were in the midst of apologizing for the feces that several companies had told us we had (including an Abatement company) he informed us that there were no feces down there only pipes that had not been installed properly in 2017 and old to new pipes. He informed us of the new MUCH LOWER price and exactly what time he would be done if he didn't need to snake the drain.

We got lucky: No snaking but more importantly, we have a great plumber! Do yourself a favor, definitely do your research but be sure one of the plumbing contractors you call is Frog Leap. Cute truck logo too!

On Sunday night we had a major plumbing problem on a condo we had just bought. The next morning, I called Leapfrog Plumbing and they sent over someone who gave me an estimate. I thought the number was high but I know that plumbers are expensive. The next morning someone from Leapfrog arrived on time. I show them the problem and they replaced the drain pipe. They then told me that the line was clogged and the garbage disposal was broken. He showed me how the disposal was leaking water from the bottom. I asked how much it would cost to replace the disposal ($589) and snake the drain ($289). That seemed very high so I said I would call around. I called another plumber who came out about an hour later. I showed him the leaky disposal and he said that it was leaking from where the drain is attached to the disposal. He tightened two bolts and the leaking stopped, he turned on the disposal and the drain ran clear.
I hired leapfrog thinking that I would get a real plumber. Instead, they sent out an incompetent handyman who suggested I pay another $900 to fix a problem he created. If you call Leapfrog the only plumber you will me is the one doing the estimate.

Wow. These guys are so cool. And neat. This time, their plumber, Ian, cleared a slow drain in my bathroom sink. and then he told me of a product I could use monthly to keep it -- and our other drains -- clear myself.

cleaned up afterward. And the product is working great already. I recommend calling them anytime you need a plumber.

I have used Leapfrog Plumbing several times in the past 2 year. From small things like install a sink faucet or setting a toilet. I have also used them to install new plumbing pipes for water and drains. I get noting but great service every time I call them. The girls in the office doing the schedule has always gone above and beyond making sure what I needed was taken care of. I recommend them 100%

BAIT & SWITCH APPOINTMENTS

Don't count on them honoring their appointment with you. Someone else is always more important. They're quick to book you for the next day. They just will blow you off.

Tried to hire them a year ago and they called last minute to say they were tied up at another job. So tried to give them a chance again this year, and at the last hour they blew me off again using the same excuse.

Owner Mo is a nice enough guy and so was his field Tech C J, but unfortunately not the level of customer service I was looking for.
Leap Frog was scheduled to replace the inside valve and other components in three standard toilets.
First, C J's work order left off an item to be replaced, something simple - a toilet handle and something that was brought to Mo's attention when he looked at the toilets to give a price.
Second, when C J was finished, he told me about some other minor things that he recommended to be addressed. ( one was the handle). My expectations for a vendor would be to ask about taking care of these minor items before he said he was done.
I can understand that they might have him scheduled for another job later in the day, but isn't that why you get a 2 to 4 hour window for an appointment, to allow for things like this.
So to address installing a handle will require rescheduling.
I should point out this is in a commercial building. Only one toilet was not shutting off properly and using a lot of water. So to avoid having a problem with the other two down the road, to save time and trouble, I decided to have all three serviced.
Then when C J was done, I asked to confirm that my company would be billed and he said that Leap Forg would not send a bill, it was payment upon completion.
This was different than what I discussed with the office when I scheduled the appointment.
C J would not call his office just to check.
As a commercial property manager, many times we send a vendor out to address a tenant's needs with being there. They all send a bill when done.
Were at the site before the tenant opens, that's why I happened to meet them.
Spoke with the owner Mo and he acknowledged all my concerns, but never asked about returning to address the items C J brought up. Made me feel like repeat business was not a concern.
We have several other properties and I look for vendors who want to develop a relationship that can service all our sites.
Not sure if I will use them again. Disappointing first experience.

After experiencing a huge price gouging by using Roto Rooter, my son learned a valuable lesson-Call Leapfrog Plumbing to the rescue and use them for all your plumbing needs in the future. This company has been our go to for years and consistently responds with courtesy and competency, fair prices and concern for what the customer is experiencing. This week a simple clogged kitchen sink turned into a major loss of kitchen sink function as the drain pipe could not be reconnected. RotoRooter wanted 1200-2000k to replace the pipe. We believed that price range was just way too steep. Though we had to wait 3 days for Leapfrog, we were willing to in order for the job to done correctly by a company we trust both in skill and price. They replaced the drain pipe today for about $650. Shout out to Leapfrog for a great website, Carol for the swift scheduling and Josh, the techniician who completed the job for us. Leapfrog will not disappoint. Mo, you've got a great company!

I called LeapFrog a couple years back to handle a few plumbing tasks. We had an issue and the owner stood up, got the error fixed and then comp'd the bill. I was blown away by the business ethics and was committed to giving them our future plumbing business.

With the recent rains our drains around the property were backing up and pooling. I called LeapFrog to water jet the lines. They were on site in an hour. Their tech was great and was up front with what they could and couldn't fix. Fortunately we got one of two lines opened and our lawn crew will be out tomorrow to handle the other.

Great people that do great work.
