Ordered fuel, called office and woman on phone stated it would not be delivered to my home until Monday, unless it was an emergency for $150 , (i told her i thought their website said they delivered to my town on friday amd had to have your order in by 10 am -it is 8 am now for non emergency otherwise- she said it would be delivered Monday. I told her it was not an emergency, cannot pay $150). When i was outside around 10 a delivery truck came, i thought great maybe they could make a delivery on friday after all.
I checked my bank later and they charged me $150!!! I telephoned her asking why she did this after i called her earlier and she screamed at me she sent her driver out of her way!! I didnt even ask them to come today, they scream at me and take $150!!!! She is a piece of work and so classless - everyone go Noonan!!!! Or anyone else for that matter!!!
Jennifer R.ETA:Okay, I want to give them extra stars, like at least 6 stars. It's 10 PM, only a few hours before we get hammered by snow, and we just got an oil delivery that was requested Saturday and scheduled for Wednesday (the driver still had one more delivery to make) And, they still have the best price around. These guys are rockstars in my book
So it should really be a 4 probably, but I don't think they've been given a fair shake so much. They definitely aren't perfect by any stretch. Their trucks break a fair amount and sometimes take a few days longer than you'd like to get to you, and sometimes you don't get all the fuel you ordered (they're totally honest about what is delivered, you just have to follow up and remind them they need to finish the delivery), but their prices are almost always the best around, and I honestly believe they do their best to help out their regular customers. I ran out of fuel during the cold snap, much like everyone else, and it was near impossible to get a delivery out in less than a week anywhere else, but I called them on a Wednesday, let them know I was out but since the weather is better I can take a shower at the Y since I have to pay to have things primed, so I'm not looking to pay the emergency delivery cost. Long story slightly less long, it's been about 24 hours since I spoke with them and I have heating oil. For a low-cost oil delivery place, they're really pretty great, as long as you know that sometimes you may actually have to speak with another human being instead of just using their super convenient online ordering (which deserves 5 stars just for that)
Audra F.Wish I had checked reviews before going with them. We requested -- and paid -- for a tank fill via their online form. Four days after their delivery, our tank is only 3/4 full and we're unable to get in touch with the company to find out why. (Especially since they were timely in charging our credit card!) No one answers the phone and their voicemail is full, so one can't leave messages. They don't respond to emails or messages on their website. We're calling our credit card to reverse payment -- perhaps then we'll hear from them!
Hunter T.DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR BUSINESS!
I wish I saw these reviews before I ordered with them. Don't get fooled by the cheap price and easy online ordering like I did.
I placed an order on December 31 for 150 gallons at $2.58/gal and got an estimated delivery date of Jan 4th for delivery.
Monday Jan 1st was new year's day, so didn't expect them to deliver but Tuesday Jan 2nd my card was charged $388. I emailed them wed to confirm if my delivery was still on for Thursday Jan 4th because of the snow storm and if it wasn't to please cancel it.
NO RESPONSE.
Most oil companies deliver next day and worked late Wednesday night to make sure their customers got oil before the storm.
Ok fine....so I expected a delivery Friday....no delivery and no refund. They close Saturday and Sundays so I didn't even bother calling.
I call their phone number on monday and am greeted by a voicemail. I proceed to leave a voicemail and get disconnected after 10 seconds. I call back again and leave the quickest message I've ever left to cancel my order, with my order number, address and phone number. I also used their web form and also emailed them at the email they provided ""if you need any assistance"".
I order with another company the same day and got fuel the morning of Jan 9th. Around 1pm the same day, I hear another truck pull up and to my surprise law fuel actually showed up.
I got out there too late to stop the delivery and they were only able to fill 85 gallons. I told the driver about how I tried to cancel the order and he apologized and said he was just the driver.
Fair enough.
Now here comes the scummy part. I get charged $3.58/gal for 85 gallons PLUS a $50 minimum order fee on top.
I just paid $356.86 for a 85 gallons...that's $4.19 a gallon! I get that they couldn't deliver my order of 150 gallons because of my tank being full...but they never once in the 5 business days return an email or give a call back.
Had I known that the delivery would be coming on Jan 9th, I wouldn't have ordered with a different company. I thought I had gotten scammed by a fake company. In the end, I did get scammed, but by an actual company. Which is probably worse. I don't know how these guys are allowed to stay in business.
I still haven't gotten the $31.49 credit back to my account either and it's been 3 business days.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!
WORST company I have ever dealt with! I ordered oil on 12/28/18 with over 1/4th oil left in my tank. I received an email saying that I would have my oil delivered by 1/4/18, which is longer than most oil companies, but I decided to wait. Come 1/4/18, I was almost out of oil and Law Fuel and Energy was nowhere to be found. I tried emailing and calling multiple times and never received a response. I then checked my bank statement and saw that I was charged for an oil delivery that I never received on 1/2/18. I saw that I was charged by Dempsey Oil. I called Dempsey oil and was able to speak to the emergency answering service line. I left over ten messages with them, and it was not until I threatened a lawsuit, until someone finally called me back. When they finally called back, their response was ""We are refunding you your money, we no longer want you as a customer, you threatened a lawsuit, so good luck finding oil."" I am still waiting for a refund, but I HIGHLY suggest that you avoid Law Fuel and Energy as well as Demsey oil as they are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life.
Beth D.I have used Law for the past few years. We like the internet ordering and great prices. This week we did have a bump in the road, the truck was not pumping correctly, I was concerned because of the impending blizzard and long driveway, 4 am Law Fuel delivered. I was very happy.
Steve G.WOW. If only I had come here to Yelp and read the three other terrible reviews before ordering my oil from this company, I would have never gone through all this trouble.
You would never BELIEVE what I've been through. I ordered $650 worth of oil, and they put it in our Landlord's tank, not ours. The fill pipes were VERY clearly labeled, so this is very clearly a mistake THEY made. A very stupid and careless mistake.
It wasn't until my Landlord called me and told me, that I realized this. The receipt they left in my mailbox that morning indicated that oil was delivered to Apartment 2 (my apartment) so when I came home that night, I cranked up the heat, thinking I had plenty of oil, which I actually didn't.
I spoke with Nancy, who at one point promised me they would come out and fill our tank, but only charge us for the 225 gallons I ordered. But she made me put in a second order (for another $650) before they would come back and fill our tank. So, desperate for heat, I (like an idiot) put in a second order. Then I find out that this company (for some reason) is CLOSED during the weekend (okay, fine), but couldn't they at least take a second to check their messages over the weekend? So we didn't actually get our oil delivered until Monday evening. So we went FOUR DAYS without heat. Beyond unacceptable.
They never returned ANY of my phone calls or emails over the weekend. They never refunded me the first $650, so I had to beg my Landlord to pay for that oil (that they weren't prepared to buy until later this year, so they couldn't afford it), via deductions in my rent over the next few months.
After four days without heat, and about 9 or 10 phone calls and a half dozen emails, Law Fuel and Energy flat-out REFUSED to give me ANY sort of credit for all the trouble I've been through (I was asking for $100 which is more than reasonable). They kept on telling me that they are a ""discount oil company"" so they can't give me a credit. I told them, ""Well, sometimes when you run a business, you make mistakes, and sometimes you have to lose a little money to learn from those mistakes."" The guy I spoke with (Eric) said ""Don't threaten me."" Not once at any time did I swear, or raise my voice, or threaten any sort of legal action. I simply told him, ""I'm not threatening you, I'm only telling him what I am going to do.""
I tried to handle things professionally, but that didn't work. So I told them, do not underestimate the power of social media (Facebook, Yelp, etc.) and I told them I'd make sure they lost a hell of a lot more than $100 in business by the time I'm through. I am so heated up over all this, that I don't even need heating oil after all (okay, I'm trying to make myself laugh so I don't go crazy over this).
So all I'm asking is for you to order your next batch of oil from someone else. And please tell them why. It's all about Karma.
Dave K.Worst company.
They will charge your credit card and tell you they will deliver on a date - But then never come on that date and then you have to call and call them and then be told yes we can do tomorrow then call again the next day and be told sorry tomorrow and then call again the next day and be told again tomorrow and then we are told that they are trying to be here by next Tuesday, that would of been 12/26 . but still nothing and now it's 22 days later and still no oil.
So Law Fuel and Energy delivered to the wrong address. I informed them that they need to redelivered. Mind you, it took them a few weeks for then to deliver the oil. I called constantly and got the emergency line or that the voicemail is full and will not accept anymore.... They just sent me an email saying that they will sue me for unpaid oil that THEY delivered to the wrong address. Please don't use this company. I had no issues with them last last year but this year they are a totally different company. Unresponsiveness is the biggest part. I will keep update on why I am being punish for their mistake.
Jessica E.What a awful company to work with after waiting a week for oil and them already taking my money out of my account after many failed attempts at actually getting them to come out even after telling them my tank is empty. They didn't care and even hung up the phone on me. Please don't use this company you will be screw out of your money.
