From a young age, Lu learned the trade by working with his father, who had a landscaping and custom water feature business. He quickly grasped the significance of customer satisfaction for fostering repeat business. Lu developed the ability to listen to clients and provide solutions that fulfill their requirements. As a young man, he was employed by a water filtration firm. He installed custom water filtration systems in both residential and commercial settings. In his early twenties, Lu started his official plumbing apprenticeship. Due to health challenges in his wife's family, they moved to Georgia, where he founded LAV Plumbing.
