From a young age, Lu learned the trade by working with his father, who had a landscaping and custom water feature business. Early on, Lu understood that customer satisfaction was key to securing repeat clients. He also learned to listen to clients and deliver a product that meets their needs. In his early adulthood, he gained experience at a water filtration company. He installed custom water filtration systems in both residential and commercial settings. Lu began his formal plumbing apprenticeship in his early twenties. Due to health challenges in his wife's family, they moved to Georgia, where he founded LAV Plumbing.
