John began his journey in plumbing in a neighborhood plumbing store starting as a laborer before advancing to a journeyman plumber. After the shop shut down, he established his very own firm. In the year 2013, his son became part of the operation.

After over 16 years working at another business in the valley, he initiated Latham Plumbing. He has devoted his complete 30+ year career to operating within the Rogue Valley region. His child came on board the company in 2013.

Service was prompt - within 2 hours of our initial call. John was efficient and fast and helped us diagnose and resolve our toilet bubbling issue quickly. I like that he is local and has history here - he even had worked on the plumbing at our house two owners prior. We are satisfied customers!

Tomas is competent, nice, and shows up. But man oh man they are outrageously expensive. I had a few very small repairs, Tomas was out for 2.5 hours fixing them, (which included a trip to town to get a part to stop water running in the inside of a toilet bowl,) and he eagerly presented a bill of $460. I'm not kidding. $120 per hour, (up from $100 the last time I used them,) and apparently including drive time, (even though I live in Talent and their business is in Ashland.) $100 for some pretty small pipe parts. If I had unlimited means I might hire them again just because it's hard to find anyone who shows up. But as a single mother working 4 jobs...I was dumbfounded and really sad.

Very satisfied! It's my first time hiring Latham plumbing and I'm so glad I did. Thanks John for a job well done.
A city water representative came to my door to tell me my water usage had more than tripled. A bit shocked, we went through the probable causes and nothing. Our neighbor's handyman volunteered to take a look including going under the house. Nothing. I called 4 plumbing companies, Latham was the only one that would come out and look for a leak. All the other companies wanted me to hire a leak detection company (min. $350) and call them back when the leak was found.
Latham plumbing came within three hours and found the leak in 10 minutes. John did a great job. He worked quickly and cleanly despite the mud and finished in less than three hours.

Thank you!!

Latham is a family owned business that guarantees their work. They recently repaired a leaky faucet in my kitchen and I'm very happy I did business with them and will do so again. Andrew Reilly

I had the same experience with Thomas as above. They were busy and responded to my broken pipe in the wall, and did so with a reasonable price, were local and fixed it and replaced the pressure regulator outside in 2 and 1/2 hours.

I have called Lathum plumbing twice for plumbing issues, The first time, a pipe had burst under my house and was soaking a floor in the room. John came out and was friendly and fixed the problem quickly.
Most recently, my toilet was backed up and I knew my daughter had flushed something down it. John used his camera tool and decided there was not anything blocking. He felt a wire type of object in the front hole, and after trying for almost an hour, he was unsuccessful in getting it out and just suggested replacing the toilet. He charged $100 and I still had a non working toilet. Today, my partner and I took the toilet out and broke it open. As I suspected, there was a toy flushed down the toilet. Although I was sure this was the case, he didn't really listen and disregarded my original complaint. So on top of paying 100 to John, I had to spend another 120 on a new toilet. Not too pleased with his second visit.

After only a couple of weeks of owning my home, our sewage line backed up and we had John come out and clear the line and install a clean out. He didn't locate the exact spot of the issue, but suspected a tree root near the street. The clean out was installed awkwardly hanging out of my crawl space and I had someone else come out and fix it.

Fast forward ten months later and I have the same problem again. He said he located the issue by listening to where the snake was grinding and recommended removing a tree where the roots were growing into the sewage line.

Not wanting to cut down a tree and wanting a second opinion I called another plumber who recommended I hire a plumbing service in town with a camera that could really ascertain whether and where the issue was located.

Not only did they find two different locations with roots that weren't properly cleared, but also found out that the line had caved and I will have to have it excavated and replaced.

Also to note: John fixed a pipe leak under my sink that when replaced is now at an angle.

While I really like John as a person and don't think he was trying to do me wrong, he gave me really bad advice and I spent $ on clearing the sewage line (which wasn't completely cleared) which I could have been spending on the ultimate fix that needed to be done. His work is shoddy and just not trustworthy.

Needless to say, I would not recommend him to anyone.

Great plumbing company! Thomas showed up in my home within an hour of calling on a Friday afternoon! They are fast, knowledgable, reliable and fair in price. I would recommend this company 100%.

Rude and overpriced defines John Latham plumbing. He claims that he charges $100/hr but my leaky bathroom faucet cost $200. It didn't take that long to fix, my house is only 5 minutes away, mid week. Supplies cost $15 but he charged $50. When I politely questioned the bill he yelled:
I BUSTED MY BUTT TO GET THERE!
Not requested. Not impressed.
