From the Reseda store on Vanowen I ordered a Grunfus recirculating pump and negotiated the price on the phone with the salesperson, who cleared a $50 discount with the store manager (I also ordered a $385 water filter). When I arrived at the store I bought the water filter but wanted to send a photo of the pump to our plumber to make sure it was the right one to buy. I left the store briefly and returned after our plumber confirmed that the pump was right. The manager then refused to sell me the pump. I asked why and he told me that he changed his mind and wouldn't sell me the pump for a $50 discount, which he previously had agreed to by phone. So I said I would pay full price for the pump and the manager said he wouldn't sell it to me at any price! I believe this is because my last name is ""Glick"" and the manager is antisemitic. Although I have done business with Larry & Joe's for many years, I won't be returning again. What a shame!

I went here after discovering the closest plumbing supply store was closed. I needed a flush valve nut for a non-generic toilet. Though the guy who helped me looked doubtful, he went to a table full of miscellaneous part and put his hand right to exactly what I needed.

I called the Reseda store to see if I could email a photo of a sink faucet I need to repair or replace. I was told, ""You have to bring the part here."" So I drove the 13 miles and brought the part. I was greeted with, ""Why are you here?"" When I showed him the part, I got, ""Why did you bring that? It can't be repaired; you have to replace it. Look at the display, those parts are expensive."" OK, but do you carry any parts this size? ""No; you have to order it. They are all standard size."" He then walked away.

I suggest that if you are thinking of coming in, think twice.

Went in the Reseda store for a small part, lights were off, no air, one guy was working and the other was just scrolling on his phone, after a few minutes he finally asked what I needed. No wonder the store is empty.

Believe the BAD REVIEWS! This is for the Vanowen store. Here's the deal... if you know what you need, they probably have it. If you don't know what you need, it's a crap shoot depending on who helps you.

I walked in with a small part that needed to be replaced. I talked to the older guy,who gets all the bad press on Yelp, not one of the kids. I told him what the part was for and he handed me a replacement that was slightly different. The size was stamped right on the original part. He said, ""I don't care what that says, this is what you need."" I said ok I guess (my bad) and asked about another issue I was having at home with a different appliance. He said, and I quote, ""I got shit to do, what do you need?""

Now I'm not in retail, but when a customer is standing there with a fist full of money ready to spend it, it seems to me like THAT is the shit you should be doing. I took the one part I needed and left.

About an hour later I came back because naturally the part he gave me didn't fit. I swapped it for the right one, and was done with it. I saw him and told him he had been wrong. To his credit he felt like a dick, which he is. Plus one star because I didn't get any bullcrap like other people with returns.

Like I said, if you know what you need, find it, get it, and go. If you don't, it's a dice roll.

Beware! This store sells aftermarket parts that don't work. I bought a Chicago faucet cartridge to replace my leaking faucet but it still ended up leaking. I ended up finding the genuine part elsewhere to fix the issue.
