This business gives neighborly vibes
They didn't have the part I needed, but provided me the part number, what it's called along with the name of businesses that may carry it.
Helpful and friendly.

Needed a particular water valve, which the big box stores did not carry. Next I tried Larry and Joe's, showed them a picture of it and not only did they carry it, they gave me instructions on how to remove the old part and replace it with the new part. If I had just did it on my own, chances are I would have screwed it up and ended up hiring a plumber that would have cost me a couple of hundred, not to mention the down time. So I recommend L&J's to anyone looking for those hard to find parts and knowledgeable staff.

I always come here because the Mexican lady who is the boss always knows what to do and I save so much time coming here, the younger men who work there don't know like she does.
I always come here to solve my problems FAST.

This place has saved my day many times over the last 20 years. If you need to get it done, just come here. Don't bother with Lowes or Home Depot.

Northridge location is top-notch service with friendly staff and knowledgeable- worth the drive versus the Mission Hills location, I refuse to go to that location because of the female manager that is very arrogant makes me feel like an idiot every time I ask for something...I've explained to her that I am not a plumber I'm a do it yourself homeowner. I feel I should not have to explain myself to justify my lack of knowledge in plumbing... just so I can walk out of there with some dignity. Again Northridge location LARRY JOES is the best!

The lady in here is rude as can be. It's almost seems like she doesn't want female customers?? She didn't want to hear me out about my plumbing issue so I can buy a specific tool. She kept talking over me. So the guys were kind enough to help me, I will not be coming back because of the way she treated me. I just can't give money to a business who has an employee doing this. I ended up going to a different Larry and Joe's and they were very kind in there. Apparently they don't mind giving customer service. After all that is what makes their paycheck.

One of the female workers there was really rude and but the male worker who helped me out was really nice and helpful. Overall still got my product I needed just please fix your employees attitude:)

I bought a tankless water heater from this place. The woman who works here put it in my car as I have a bad wrist currently. Found out it was too big and not what we needed. I went back to return it today and she claimed that the box was damaged and she didn't know if they could take it back. I literally DID NOT even remove it from my car, my contractor saw it and immediately told me it was too big! She then calls the GM over and he says I can take it back but it's going to be a 25% restocking fee. THEY NEVER INFORMED ME OF THIS WHEN I PURCHASED IT! He said it's on the receipt. I said I got the receipt after I bought it!!! That's how it works! He then said we are a business and need to make money. They seem desperate for money and by the looks of the interior might be going out of business soon. He lost a long term customer over him trying to pull 25% out of me. Gotta think big guys. This was petty on their part. They also might be desperate for funds? I know the economy isn't the best right now but man, I literally went back 12 hours after I bought it. Plus I kept everything else I bought!! Not like I returned everything, I still had spent money with them! Don't go here, they're not honest and working with desperate businesses can be tricky sometimes when they seem like they really need the money.

They are quick to sell you things but when it comes to returns, they are complete assholes about it. Purchased a few items the day before and attempted to return one of them the next day only to be told they would not issue a refund. Mind you there was nothing defective with the item, it was never opened and I had purchased it the day prior. I even pointed out that the item was not on the list of non-returnable items they have near their cash register. It didn't matter, the manager was rude and gave me some other BS excuse for not accepting the item. Unfortunately, I think people continue to come here because of a lack of alternatives. It is definitely not for their customer service or business practices, which leaves a lot to be desired. Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else.
