tldr: Had a kitchen sink stoppage and first called another plumbing company to snake it out. After 5 days of nothing working, and over $500 in charges, they gave me a $9,000 est, to fix. Called in Lanier Plumbing, who fixed the sink in half an hour, and for half of the $500 Radiant charge. ---

On the 5th day of unsuccessful tries and a $9,000 estimate to fix, I called Lanier Plumbing to have a look-see to be sure that tunneling under the house is the only recourse.
The Lanier plumber, Philip, was able to snake out the sink in 30min, and charged HALF of what Radiant charged.
He was knowledgeable, professional, and effectual. He was, in short, the best.
On the 6th day, I dumped the other company for Lanier Plumbing. Lanier is a way more mature plumbing company, and it shows in their attitude, from the office manager on through to the plumber.

Give Lanier, and plumber Phillip, five stars. They came out quickly, found the problem quickly, and fixed it with what appears to be good technique. He put in an accessible main cutoff valve where none existed before, and dug up and replaced the shrubs as well as could be expected. I paid less than $500 for about a half a day's work, which included some parts. Plumbing is difficult and dirty work, and it's easily done wrong and covered up, so I don't mind paying for quality workmanship. Consider the alternative.

These guys are great! After calling around to a few places I found on yelp and Nextdoor I settled on Lanier. They were the first plumber that gave me an hourly rate - I prefer this model over having someone come out to look at a job and tell me a price. If it is too high I have to make another appointment for someone to come out - I don't want to deal with that - and I had multiple issues that included troubleshooting etc. Also, they are in my neighborhood!

I called them to replace a kitchen faucet that I couldn't manage on my own due to weird fittings on the old faucet - while they were here I asked them about a leak, water pressure issues and they fixed a shower that had a bad cartridge. They answered a ton of questions and patiently explained the items they were addressing. They were friendly, professional, efficient and they solved my problems. I would use them again and I highly recommend them!
