They responded quickly on Christmas eve day to replace a leaking water heater. Due to the pre-holiday (and our rush to prepare for a holiday party meal), they responded with a price on-line after I sent photos and a description of the problem. The guys showed up with a new water heater and had it installed that day (with a couple trips to get some parts). So, it was great that they sent 2 guys so the job could continue while another got more parts to fix the venting and plumbing couplings.

Nice job on replacing our 14+ year old 50 gallon gas water heater with a similar, but now ultra low emissions version. Seems like Calif laws now require a ultra low NOx Nitrogen Oxide emission, so 7 - 15ppm, vs low NOx which is 30 ppm. The controller box is also now a lot larger on the new models than my old controller dial, so they have to angle the heater inside the enclosure and adjust the pipe location to fit it so we can still access the gas shutoff valve and the temperature controller. They brought my heater installation up to newer codes for double straps (instead of a single wall strap), and they fixed up the vent pipe for a might tighter fit.

So Lane Plumbing provided great service, improved my installation up to code and offered a good price which was several hundred dollars less that what others wanted on a holiday rush. It's been working a couple of weeks now and the new heater seems to be more efficient with 6000 BTUs less than our hold heater model, but same hot water.

Lane's has intelligent plumbers that do high quality work and get things right the first time. The prices are not cheap but the value is much higher than any other company. I highly recommend them.

Lane's is a locally owned small business. The owner, Eric, was the first to respond when I put out a request for replacement of a leaking water heater. He asked for pics then gave me a clear estimate and timeline. He wasn't the least or the most expensive quote but I really liked his responsiveness. Technician Ryan showed up the next morning, was so nice and polite, explained everything and was done in about 2 hours, cleaning up everything thoroughly. Based on this positive experience, we'll call Lane's any time we need plumbing work in the future.

Young man came out, discussed project, and got right to it. He removes metal washer off without removing surrounding screws. I asked him why he didn't remove them and he said it would cause everything to fall off and create more work. Wow. Honest. He had all his tools ready, was quick, and got the job done.
