had a stop valve fail while i was fixing my toilet - which made for a small fountain in the bathroom. it was 4pm on a Sunday, but I called Hamlet and he was at my house in 20 minutes. He diagnosed the problem, offered a couple different solutions and gave a thorough explanation of everything he planned to do before starting.

he also diagnosed and fixed the bigger problem - no regulator, leading to water pressure of almost 130 psi - which will prevent a lot of wear and tear on the plumbing down the line.

honest and professional, plus an amazing name. what more do you want?

I'm not crazy about having men in my house but I felt incredibly comfortable with the guy who came to fix my shower, Hamlet. He fixed it quickly, effectively (knock on wood) and for an incredibly reasonable price. I'd totally recommend his services to others.

Called at 4:30pm on a Tues. Hamlet, who rules by the way, got here in 1 hour. Fixed the two leaks in my sheetrock-soaked ceiling, cleaned up and billed in less than 2 hours.

I didn't know anything about plumbing prices. Checked with others and I was charged the right price at first quote. He explained what was wrong and why. He explained what he was going to do and what he wasn't going to do and asked if I had any questions before he began working.

This is the best home repair service I've ever had.

This was our second call to LA Affordable Plumbing with a blocked line. Just as he promised, Hamlet was at the house within the hour. He snaked out the line and and was done within 30 minutes. The price was exactly what he quoted over the phone and he didn't try to sell additional or unneeded services. I would definitely callLA Affordable again if I needed a plumber. Highly recommended.

Hamlet is as honest as they come. We have some water marks on our first floor ceiling. We weren't sure if we needed to call a plumber or a roofer. After further research, we thought it would be best to contact a plumber first. Yelp lead us to several companies. Hamlet was the second to come. The first company stated that although they were unsure of the leak, the water marks indicated that there was mold. We received an estimate of over $4000. We found that price to to be outrageous and immediately didn't trust it. Hamlet came to our home two days later. He looked at the marks and the potential sources. Since there wasn't anything currently leaking he was not able to determine where the leak was coming from. He was kind enough to alert of us the potential causes and the remedies to fix them. He didn't charge us anything and stated that we should call him if the problem grew. I so appreciate that type of honesty. As first time homeowners, we truly appreciate a person who isn't looking to take advantage, We will certainly call him when the problem comes back. The thing about plumbing is that if there isn't currently a leak its hard to locate the source as water travels and pools in unlikely places. Hamlet gets 5 stars from us and will be the first person we call in the future. Those other guys were looking to score money from not only us but our insurance company.

Called LA Affordable Plumbing for an overflowing sink that my landlord failed all day to fix. He was out in less than 45 minutes and had the whole thing sorted out in half an hour! I was expecting a late night emergency fee/rate - but apparently it's called Affordable Plumbing for a reason. I still am in shock at how low the price was for such a quick, efficient and excellent job.

I can't state enough how much you should use this plumber!!!!

Hamlet came to my house to drain the bathroom tub and sink within 20 minutes of me calling him on a Sunday (as he promised on the phone)! How great is that? Not only that, he was polite, to the point, and was honest about the whole procedure, letting me see what's going on step by step.

I am definitely calling him again for other plumbing issues.

Highly recommended. First-rate work done at a most reasonable price. Hamlet is courteous, professional and honest, and went the extra mile to do a thorough sewer-line rooting. He also has new, higher-tech tools to do the job right.
This is how you get repeat business: Honesty and professionalism. Thank you, Hamlet.

Hamlet and LA Affordable Plumbing are the place to go for ANY problem. I first called Hollywood Plumbing and they quoted me a number that almost made my Thanksgiving dinner come up. I then called LA AFFORDABLE PLUMBING and was given a MUCH lower quote and was greeted by a MUCH nicer man. Hamlet came right out, got to work and my sink was working within minutes! The number is (818) 468-2385. And it's ""Affordable Plumbing Services"" @ http://www.laaffordableplumbing.com/

Hamlet was quick to answer the phone and came over within 45 minutes. Awesome job! he was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. For some reason, someone or something had cut off our water line to our refrigerator so he had to create a new one from our kitchen sink which required running a line through the cabinet. I believe this was the majority of the cost. We also had a leak under the kitchen sink which he fixed, but it was just a change in washer and glue. I'm honestly still unsure whether that was the problem or solution so time will tell.

the kicker is that he went to check out the washer because the cold water was producing a slow drip. he checked the hose and we learned that the hose was bad or something was stuck in there. Good find! But what was upsetting was he wanted to charge me an extra $135 to change both hoses (cold and hot water). I told him I could just get hoses at HomeDepot for a few bucks each, to which he replied his hoses were way better quality and more than just a few bucks each. A quick search on home depot or amazon will show that even great hoses are about $20-$30 for a pack of 2! Installation? Just plug them into the valve and tighten.

I really wanted to like him/his company. This last bit did him in. I also felt $200 was a little high for a quick fix under the sink leak and installing an extra line for the refrigerator. He also didn't clean up very well. I swept the sawdust off the floor from his drilling, put back all the stuff under the sink, and had to mop a spill from the washer (I'll admit I volunteered to mop the washer spill). I also had to sweep down the kitchen floor and swifter it because it was just dirty afterwards.

I'm sure he's good and might be good for other, but I probably won't call again for plumbing needs, unless the sink is leaking again from his job.
