In mid September due to rains and a pump system malfunction in the garage there was massive flooding in our garage. I am sure that with the sudden rains many people suffered from water accumulation related issues that day. We called the folks at LA Hydro-jet and they came to save us immediately. I was truly impressed by their prompt response to our distress call. As anyone can imagine when there is flooding and your personal possessions are threatened you will be in a state of complete panic. Thankfully the people at LA Hydro-jet came and saved the day!

These guys are Pro's, and I should know, as I am a builder. I've been using LA Hydro for over 15 years, and they have consistently come though on both residential & commercial jobs. Unlike other plumbing rooter services, these guys do not show up like sleazy workman trying to sell you a host of other services you don't need. LA Hydro is professional, clean & fair!
There are only a few service subcontractors that I openly recommend to my clients, and LA Hydro is one of them. Five stars is truly their grade by me!

Worst experience EVER!! Showed up late if at all, overcharged me, didn't fix the problem ever, ruined my tile and toilet in a brand new bathroom! Don't ever use them!!!

Forgot to mention the wonderfully horrible receptionist Nikki who was rude, ignorant and hung up on me!

We've been calling on L.A. Hydro-Jet for years to snake the main line from our home to the street. They've been sending one guy with a machine, built in the '50s, to do the job and we pay them $195. for less than an hours work to do so. Today I asked for a price break when I wanted the same person to take the same snake and try cleaning a yard drain. The answer back was sorry, we don't give any price breaks even though you've been a loyal customer for nearly a decade. Well, sorry...as a loyal customer I expect a price break for something so simple. Will never call this thankless company again.

i am truly shocked that this review is about to happen .... i have been using this company for over 10 years ... this was the only place i would trust to do work on my house ... never had an issue ... however, for whatever reason, this place is going downhill FAST!!

my situation is exactly like some of the other reviews... bad customer service .... reps over the phone are RUDE ... treating me like it's my fault their techs misdiagnosed the problem ... and don't even bother questioning anything, they love to deny and argue .... ""supervisors"" do not know how handle disputes either ... they just deflect everything back on the customer

they have been out here 4 times for the same issue and just keep snaking clogged drains instead of actually trying to figure out the problem

here's the run around i've gotten already for the same issue:: one girl says no way it's a main drain just regular clog .... another girl says oh yes that's a main drain issue ... another guy says no it's not a main drain, you have roots and will need to replace pipes ... another girl says ... oh you should've had a camera put in last visit because there is definitely a broken pipe somewhere

and when trying to question why no one has done the camera thing yet i get nothing but excuses and them trying to blame me??? haha what a joke

i have no problem paying for whatever repairs i need done, and if it's something pricey i'll hate it but do it ... HOWEVER, after the experiences i've had over the last 4 calls within one month i will definitely NOT be giving anymore money to this rip off company

i will make sure the place i do hire for this expensive job knows they got it because of your BAD SERVICE TO A LOYAL CUSTOMER

HORRIBLE customer service - I made an appointment to wait for them in a 4 hour window one afternoon and they did not show up. When I called, they said that it would be another 3 hours. I asked for an appointment for another day, for a specific time, and they could not do this. So I made an appointment for a 4 hour window one morning, during the work-week. I called several times and was told that they would be at my home by noon. 12:15 comes and goes and I have to go to work. I spoke to a dispatcher for the following day and was told that someone would be there before 8 a.m. At 8:11 a.m. I call and was told that it would be 20 minutes. I left for work at 9 and received a phone call at 9:45 which I did not answer. Please note: This is a good opportunity for someone to go into this business now and provide better customer service - pipes are getting old in L.A. and everyone has them!!

I called LA Hydro Jet for a backed up main line from the house to the main line. It also happened on Labor Day!

Tech shows up and after doing some checking, says he needs to remove a toilet and snake from there to main line. Does what he has to do and fixes the issue. I then give him my credit card and I pay the bill.

In today's mail, I get an envelope and what looks like an invoice inside. I open the envelope up and much to my surprise it is a copy of the original invoice. However, there is a hand written note saying that I was over charged and a credit had been issued to my credit card!!

I never would have known about the over charge and they didn't have to issue a credit. The fact is, they did. That says a lot for this business. Not only did they come to my house quickly and fix the problem, but they proved how honest they are as a business!

I would HIGHLY recommend LA Hydro Jet for your sewer needs. Great job guys!!

Sad I have to write this review since I've been a loyal customer of this company since I bought my first house in 2003.
Their customer service has gotten so bad that I won't be using them ever again.
Long story short, I paid them to come out twice in April of this year (2015) to fix the drain behind my washing machine. They made me pay the second time despite the fact that their technician misdiagnosed my problem the first time and charged me to clear the wrong drain (the main line that wasn't clogged). They gave me a ""discount"" to come out a week later and fix the correct drain.
Today the same drain is acting up again and when my wife calls they tell her we just passed the 90-day warranty period so I'll have to pay a third time (including overtime if they come out today as it's a Sunday). I explained my frustration to the rep I had on the phone (Reggie) & he said there was nothing he could do and that his supervisor ""might"" be able to give me another ""discount"" since they'd be coming out a third time to solve the same problem in less than 5 months. I told him no thanks and to please close my account as I wouldn't be doing business with them again. I'd rather pay a legit plumber four times what they'd charge me.
We're writing this crappy company off for good.

I called at 8:30am with main drain plugged and a big mess Andrew showed at 9:30 and was very professional and worked hard and fixed everything. These guys are great. Dispatch was friendly and called to say he was near. Long live LA Hydro Jet

Two guys show up at about 7pm (I was told to be home for them and have been waiting since 8am). I told them I have been waiting since 8 am and he said he just got the call at 3pm. The one guy seems to not know what he was doing, a trainee I think, and was asking the other for instruction in Spanish (yes, I speak a little Spanish). The broke the P-trap or connecting pipe loose from the sink and all the water in my double sink flooded the kitchen and under the sink. So they start rapidly speaking in Spanish (too fast for me to follow). I go and get a mop and a bucket for them to clean up the mess they made.

The new guy starts mopping as the other guy is under the sink putting the P-trap together and start to tell me to have the management company send in a cleaning crew. I said you two made the mess and soaked my floor. He tells the new guy in Spanish that ""we don't clean up, it is his problem"". I pointed to my wheelchair and told him that I use a wheelchair and can't bend and stoop to clean up the mess you two made. He then says, ""the floor was wet already"", I told him BS the rug you are standing on is dry at the ends. The water that just sprayed out has not soaked into the mat yet.

The guy with the mop is just pushing the water under my new refrigerator and under the stove. The senior guy says ""we just clear the clog, we don't clean up the mess"" I said YOU MADE IT"" He started saying some other BS and I told him to get out now. I told him if I have to hire a cleaner I will sue LA Hydrojet and name you two as co-defendants. He laughed and I told him ""think that is funny?"" He said ""I (he) works for the management company and not for you (me)"" I told him used to sue people for a living at my previous job (I ran the a 1 man accounting dept. at a heating and cooling wholesale company when customers did not pay). He said get a real job and stop being a leach.

Called their office to complain, the lady that answered the phone put me on hold and called the two guys. She comes back and said that they said the floor was already flooded. I asked about the electrical tape they used to tape together my plumbing. She said they denied using electrical tape. Here you have a company that treats your home like a dump and then tells you it is your job to clean up after them. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK. The company that manages my apts is the one that hired them (probably because they are the cheapest. If they were good they would not have to low quality work).
