I set the appointment for the very next day and Doug texted me when he was on his way and arrived exactly on time. He was very kind, trustworthy and knowledgeable and even gave me options that would save me money. He performed the replacement quickly and left my place cleaner than before. Doug is honest, fair, skilled, and reliable. Sadly, I had lost his information and with a recent plumbing problem, took bids from other plumbers. The bids ranged from $800-$1200 with tile and stucco cutting involved. Anticipating a bathroom remodel soon, I waited. However, doing without the shower was going to be difficult with guests on the way, so I started a new search for a plumber. Happily, I found Kuttruff Plumbing again. Doug knew about my other bids, came out the same day that I called, and fixed my shower in 15 minutes for $189. This guy is ""old school"" with the kind of integrity you unfortunately don't see often.

I was researching for months for a plumber to come out and fix my vintage faucet. I had other plumbers that said to buy a new one. That was going to very expensive. I got lucky and found Kuttruff Plumbing through Yelp and talked with Doug within minutes. He came directly to my house and was able to fix my faucet within an hour or so. Doug knew immediately what the issue was and had the part. I was able to save thousands of dollars and was able to keep my original faucet. Doug just finished finishing an issue in our shower. We originally called one of those plumbing companies that does a lot of great marketing. They came in, didn't even bother opening up the trim and sold us a story about how we needed to get all of this work done, and they would give us a discounted price in the thousands of dollars.

We got Doug's information from a friend who's used him, contacted him and he was able to come the same day. He opened up the trim, saw that there was an issue with a pressure balancing valve, and was able to locate a replacement part the next day. He came back in the evening and fixed it. Shower is as good as it ever was, and the total cost was a fraction of what the other company quoted us.

I don't know what else to say except that Mr. Kuttruff was there in my time of need and I truly appreciate him for that. He is straight to the point, and very fair. I was happy to have him help me. I had gotten a few calls from other agencies, but for some reason I really felt like I wanted to go with him, and I made the right choice. I did read some of the negative reviews and do you want to point out that his demeanor is not peppy, and I could see how he appears to be grumpy, but to be honest, that is what made me like him, because I felt like he was not going to try to upsell me or persuade me in any way. Initially we thought that the cost to be $125 however, when we found out the problem with much more serious, he was honest and told me I may need to have another company come out. In the end, he actually said he would give it a try, and it worked! I really thought that his ultimate price is reasonable, and he was really nice. Thanks so much for going above and beyond for me!
