At KNOW-HOWE Home Services, we guarantee a professional experience every time you reach out. We’re not here for a quick fix like some contractors. Having spent 30 years in plumbing, I know one thing: news travels fast, both positive and negative. We aspire to be your go-to plumbing service and hope to serve your friends, family, and neighbors as well.

KNOW-HOWE is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency plumbing services. We specialize in installing and servicing water heaters, sump pumps, battery backups, sewage ejectors, garbage disposals, toilets, sinks, tubs, faucets, outdoor hose bibs, and sewer rodding.

Our remodeling division offers comprehensive services for kitchen and bathroom renovations. We focus on ""aging in place"" strategies in our designs for customers who want to live safely and comfortably in their homes as they grow older.

KNOW-HOWE Home Services, Inc. is big enough to tackle multiple projects at once but small enough to ensure you receive direct service from our owner and customer service manager, Timothy Howe.

We focus on this balance because it’s where other companies often fail. By limiting our service area to approximately 25 miles, we can cut travel costs and provide faster response times.

While big companies can respond quickly, their workers often lack the experience and may be learning on your job, which can be costly. Most of the time, they don’t have a personal stake in delivering top-notch service every time.

Small operations, while offering a great mix of experience and personal investment, often lack the capacity for same-day service. They may be content with their current size, which can lead to delays in service.

Having grown up in Chicago and completed my education at Gordon Technical High School, I was determined to pursue a career as a tradesman. After working as a laborer for a plumbing contractor straight out of high school, I enrolled in apprentice school and received my plumbing license in 1987. From there, I advanced to foreman, superintendent, estimator, and ultimately Vice President of the company.

Having worked for 25 years in commercial plumbing, I was eager for a shift and to provide quality residential plumbing services.

I founded KNOW-HOWE in 2012 and have thrived primarily on referrals and word-of-mouth. Providing quality service at a reasonable price is my expectation from a contractor, and I’ve discovered that’s what everyone wants. Because of this traditional business model, we keep growing year after year, and we never forget to thank you, our customers, for our success. Thanks for being part of our journey!
