At KNOW-HOWE Home Services, we guarantee a professional experience every time you reach out. Unlike some service providers, we don’t believe in quick fixes. With three decades in the plumbing field, I’ve learned that news spreads quickly, whether it’s good or bad. We aspire to be your go-to plumbing service and hope to serve your friends, family, and neighbors as well.

KNOW-HOWE is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency plumbing services. We specialize in installing and servicing water heaters, sump pumps, battery backups, sewage ejectors, garbage disposals, toilets, sinks, tubs, faucets, outdoor hose bibs, and sewer rodding.

We also have a remodeling division that manages complete renovations if you wish to upgrade your kitchen or bathroom. We focus on ""aging in place"" strategies in our designs for customers who want to live safely and comfortably in their homes as they grow older.

At KNOW-HOWE Home Services, Inc., we are large enough to handle multiple jobs simultaneously yet small enough to provide personalized service directly from our owner and customer service manager, Timothy Howe.

We focus on this balance because it’s where other companies often fail. By limiting our service area to approximately 25 miles, we can cut travel costs and provide faster response times.

Large firms may have the manpower for quick responses, but their staff often lacks the necessary experience and may be learning on your dime. Typically, they don’t have the motivation to ensure A++ performance on every job.

While small teams provide a strong combination of expertise and commitment, they may not have the resources for immediate service. They might be satisfied with their operation size, resulting in longer wait times for service.

Having grown up in Chicago and completed my education at Gordon Technical High School, I was determined to pursue a career as a tradesman. I started as a laborer for a plumbing contractor right after high school, then went to apprentice school and earned my plumbing license in 1987. From there, I advanced to foreman, superintendent, estimator, and ultimately Vice President of the company.

After 25 years with commercial plumbing contractors, I was ready for a change and to meet the demand for quality residential plumbing services.

In 2012, I established KNOW-HOWE and have largely relied on referrals and word-of-mouth for growth. Providing quality service at a reasonable price is my expectation from a contractor, and I’ve discovered that’s what everyone wants. This ""old school"" philosophy has allowed us to grow consistently, and we always remember that our success is thanks to you, our customers. We appreciate your support!
