Shawn W.Amazing service and value! Referred by Kirkwood Heating and Cooling. A great company you can rely on and trust!
I had a hole in a cast iron pipe in my basement. Michael and Courtney were very professional, and explained everything that they were fixing. There wound up being more issues that needed to be fixed, and they handled everything for me. Everything looks fantastic!
J B.Great Work, but the fix didn't resolve the issue. Kirkwood Plumbing did a sewer job on my property, where the sewer backed up in my basement. It looks fantastic! Really professional looking. The unfortunate thing is that didn't correct the problem I was having. So 14k later, I still have water backup in my basement. To top it off, according to what I was told, they can't even perform the actual fix! Thank you Kirkwood plumbing!
Jim S.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a commercial landlord (so I'm familiar with the trades). We had a car crash into our home and needed a PVC drain pipe repaired in our crawl space. The 1st appointment was set for Fri. 10/7. After waiting several hours I called to verify that the plumber was still coming. I was put on hold and when the operator came back she said YES the plumber would be there within the hour. Another hour went by when I got a call that the plumber could not make it at all. I waited for him from Noon till 4pm. Another appointment was set for 8:30am the next day. Plumber Dylan arrived on time, checked out the repair and said ""About an 1.5 to 2 hours for the repair plus 6' of PVC"". He then said he had to write up an estimate. After a few minutes in his truck, he came back with a cost of $850 !!! ??? So $50 worth of PVC/fittings plus 2 hours of labor is $850...That comes out to $400 per hour!! His only explanation is that ""they do not charge by the hour but by the job""... BEWARE, this company is preying on those who know nothing about the job being done. A total scam (at best) or outright thievery (at worst). Call a real plumber who will quote you an hourly rate.
Patrick and Noah were both extremely helpful. Patrick diagnosed our problems and answered all of my questions. Noah installed our new toilet very efficiently. Both were great guys to work with! We'll be using them again.
Kirkwood Plumbing did a sewer job on a prior house we were pleased with, so when the sewer backed up on our new house they were our first call. They recommended cameraing the line, however they were three times the going rate for a camera. But they were there, so we had them do it. That's when their tech told us all the cast iron under the house was completely shot, missing sections, would all have to be replaced, quoting a 15k repair.
I sent their video to three other plumbers, and we had another company come out and recamera the line. All of them said the line was fine, and there was no need to rip apart the basement. It was just a simple soft blockage.
I'm not a plumber, and I know there can be differences of opinion. But everyone I talked to who wasn't trying to sell me on a 15k repair said the line was fine. I will say that the folks I talked to at Kirkwood Plumbing were very respectful, but continued to double down and insist I needed the repair. And the folks I talked with on the phone were talking about a single tree root (which the other company said was a tampon string), and were all talking very differently than the original tech. And they never refunded their original camera.
I'm really not sure what to make of their service. They were responsive and respectful, but very expensive, and tried to sell me on a repair that everyone else I talked to said I didn't need. Perhaps time will prove them right, but for now I cannot recommend their services.
Edit: After posting this review, I was contacted immediately by Kirkwood Plumbing, and after talking with the gentleman was offered a refund of my camera, said it would go through in a couple of days. However, it took nearly three weeks and another call to their accounting department to actually receive it. But I did receive the refund and again, everyone was very respectful. It was just a minor mistake that was easily rectified, but I can't say it was exactly the confidence inspiring remedy they might have hoped for.
Cindy Sue C.I have an electric toilet in the basement and have called no less than 20 plumbers to see if they work on them mostly getting no's. One company without even coming out said the toilet needed to be replaced. It is only a year old and super expensive. I got excited when Kirkwood told me they worked on this kind of toilet and the service call was only 60 bucks plus would come out on a Sunday at no extra cost.
Dustin was the plumber that came out along with an apprentice. They were nice, clean, efficient, fast and knowledgeable. Hopefully I won't need a plumber in the near future but this company is going to be my go to. I highly recommend them.
I had a serious issue with water damage related to my corroded sewage line. It was very stressful and overwhelming. Kirkwood Plumbing was extremely supportive during the entire process. Devin helped us manage the insurance process once it became clear that the damage was going to be extensive. Honestly I can't express enough gratitude to their crew, especially Devin, who completed the work with exceptional care. I highly recommend this company to others in the area.
The dishwasher was installed wrong by Kirkwood Plumbing when our house was built in 2008. We moved in 2 1/2 years ago and finally discovered that the dishwasher was hooked up to the cold water, not the hot water as instructed by owners manual.
When I called and explained the situation, I was initially told they would 'make it right', but the next day they said it was no longer under warranty and we would have to pay for them to fix it.
This was not a warranty issue! It was an incorrect install by Kirkwood Plumbing.
I was hoping they would stand by their word and do the right thing.
Bad business practice!
Mel A.Kirkwood Plumbing did an excellent job with our water heater! We needed a new water heater and scheduled to have an install done with them. They confirmed the job the day before and the guys were on-time for the job.
No issues on the day of install and the water heater works great! We had the inspection done a couple of days later and everything was done to code. Although the job was quite pricey due to our choice of water heater and other upgrades, I think the work was well done and worth the money.
I would recommend these guys to those in the area looking for plumbing services.
