I was born in Arkansas but raised in North Georgia. In 2011, I founded Kennon Heating & Air after years in the HVAC industry, recognizing that many companies fell short of my standards. I firmly believe that taking exceptional care of employees leads to outstanding customer service. The standards and values we uphold distinguish us from our competitors. We redefine expectations in our dynamic industry. We stand firmly behind our name, brand, and customer service. As a result, we have seen significant growth and can tackle any HVAC issues our clients encounter. We consider ourselves a family working together towards a shared goal: to be better than we were yesterday.

In their usual style Kennon has pulled us through another emergency. After tepid morning showers we placed an emergency call to Kennon to ask for plumbing help. With good cheer they responded the same day. Unfortunately our old hot water heater had to be replaced. That was also achieved same day. The service tech was very knowledgeable and polite, while his work was neat and precise. Very impressive! But that's what we've come to expect after a few years with Kennon. A major plus was that the price was most respectable.

I was able to quickly get an appnt using their online scheduling, in fact the very next day. The service guy, Wesley, was very nice and professional. I scheduled an a/c tune-up, but I suspected that the a/c was not cooling enough. Wesley quickly found that the external Condenser unit was not even turning on, due to a faulty capacitor (Which I understand is common). He also recommend a 'Quick-Start"""" kit, which was supposed to help regualte the voltage coming into the unit, as well as the voltage that the compressor itself is utilizing. Although I thought their pricing was a bit steep (Which is why just the 4 stars), I quickly got my a/c running again and would use them again. (I did not opt for the 'Quick-start kit')

I have a bi annual contract with Kennon and my first couple experiences with them were great. My latest experience was with my check up. The tech came checked all 3 systems. He was checking the basement system and never came back into the house. We had to search him out and he was in the driveway. A little odd to say the least. He came in and told me I need to replace my upstairs unit and coil bc of the age of the unit and some measurement t delta was showing too cold. He left. A couple days later miraculously my upstairs unit wasn't blowing cold air. I called another service to get a quote as well. The technician came and found the outside ac breaker on the ground. He inspected the system and said while it's older it doesn't need to be replaced. I called kennon bc of the breaker and asked to be reimbursed the 200. They sent a technician out again and doubled down that my system had a slow leak and needs to be replaced. No acknowledgement that pulling the breaker would make the AC not work or no offer to pay me back.

The technician assigned to check and repair my system on 8/19/2023 was poor on the communication side. After about 15 minutes after checking my system, he immediately returned and advised that they found my system with a bad capacitor, replaced capacitor and added hard start kit to system, checked temp splits and pressures, unit is working properly at this time which was more than $700.00. No explanation why it failed out than this happens. With the following notes - no breakdown of line items and what I paid for parts vs labor (which is the norm, I suppose) HN13C Silver - HN13C Main Voltage Enhancement System Renovation Main Voltage Enhancement System Renovation Upgrade to performance enhancement system Basic system restoration service Renovate electrical terminations Performance and safety testing 1 year limited warranty After installing it, the technician that was with him realized he did not connect some wire correctly and had to return to fix the issue. THEN on 4/10/2023 the same technician came out and after 10 minutes, let's give him 15 minutes, he returned to inform me that the existing fan motor had frozen up and needed to be replaced with a new indoor fan motor. I asked what caused this to happen as I already knew the answer """"It just happens, no rhyme or reason"""". Then he advised the part ranged from $600 to $2800 to replace. After about 15 more minutes he returned to inform me that to replace the fan motor it would be more than $1300.00. I advised I would get a second opinion and requested a copy of the quote. It was sent a few hours later with no breakdown of the cost for the parts and labor. I called the office to inquire about the cost and details of the line items and I still have not received a call about the cost. However, I did see where Caleb disconnected the power to the thermostat to the unit in my room and when I called to inquire what was wrong with it, I was advised they did not know and sent another technician out. At that time, I was advised that Caleb had turned the power off likely to prevent further damage however he failed to tell me this. Early this morning the office manager called and apologized and then proceeded to tell me about their additional plumbing services, I advised her that at this time, there is no need to discuss any further services with her. A neighbor referred me to a different service provider and they asked questions like, which brand would you like a carrier or a universal to replace the part and then came in at $340 under the price Kennon was saying they were charging. This was with a company that I did not receive the """"15%"""" with through the maintenance contract. I also was advised I was overcharged for the capacitor. I can tell you that my faith in this company is very tainted and would not refer them to anyone. It is sad that you place you trust in a company to do their job and this happens. Poor service. I understand that things happen, it is not their fault, but the service expectations are high for what they are charging to receive such poor service. If I could rate a ZERO, I would definitely do that!

I have purchased both a furnace and two AC condinesing units from this company. After negotiating, prices were competitive and the work was performed as agreed. New units come with a warranty and a complimentary 1 year service agreement from them. In Novemer, they came out to do the routine maintneance on two furnaces. One was the original and the other was the replacement unit. Their service consisted of reading loads on the old unit which is working and to replace the filter which I supplied. The other unit got a filter change which I supplied. They told me that I needed to replace my induction fan unit or the whold unit (mind you that this is an operting unit). They left me two quotes for same, both too excessive in my opinion. I did not accept the offer. Today I received a phone call from Sandy who let me know that my complementary service agreement had expired in November and asked if I would like to renew it? Based on the previous """"service visit"""" I declined. She then reminded me that without routine service, my 10/10 warranty would be void. This is a strong arm tatic unacceptable to me. I will go somewhere else when I do replace the second unit.

Be careful when dealing with this company. Their quotes can and will be changed in the blink of an eye. They provided original quotes that started changing dramatically after the service was scheduled. If I had not been persistent in getting specific agreement I'm sure they would have jacked the prices up at the time of service.

Made an appointment a month in advance. I get a call a couple days before informing me they need to reschedule another 2 weeks out. The only tech they have that does the work is going to be out on maternity leave. My question was to the girl that called was.... when I made my appointment and waited a month was your tech pregnant then? I mean it's not like it just happened . No, I don't wanna wait another two weeks for you ineffective ability to schedule jobs!!! Anyways I asked for a refund that I paid up front for the service and the manager approved that refund. UPDATED RESPONSE AFTER CONTACTED... I understand the medical leave side of the situation. What I don't understand is how you'd only have one tech that performs this service with so many customers? I know it was during the busy time of your year and I'm sure you guys are stretched thin. My problem is to have to wait a month and then get a call two days before to reschedule and wait another 2-3 weeks. Sorry but that is unacceptable in my book. It is what it is. I respectfully decline your offer as I called another company that very same day and they were able to work me in two days later. I've also set that same company up to service my employers systems since they did a great job at my home. Yes I got a refund after they had to get approval. I guess the reception thought I'd wait that long. Snooze you loose so they say. I'm just one little customer that gave you a 1 star rating, It happens. I'm just now getting around to doing it. You guys have a super fantastic weekend.

Kennon is the only HVAC servicer that I trust. Just had a great visit from Nestor who diagnosed and fixed my issue quickly and efficiently! He not only fixed the problem, he explained everything in detail so that I would understand what was needed and gave me tips on how to keep my system running efficiently after the repairs. Excellent service from an excellent team!

So happy I found Kennon HVAC. They were professional, courteous and did a great job. I will use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable HVAC company. Keep it up!

Outdated policies. When making an appt for a new HVAC they asked if a """"Mister will be present at the appt."""" I asked for clarification and they said it was their company policy. I informed them it was insulting and discriminatory on all fronts. Why... a.) do I need a """"Mister"""" b.) do I need a spouse c.) why is this US Army Captain/woman/person/homeowner not enough by HERSELF to make a home financial decision? Kennon are your sales practices/screening discriminatory ? or just outdated on archaic practices. UPDATE YOUR POLICIES KENNON. This is 2021!!!
