I have a contract with them which I paid for upfront incase anything happens I was assured I would get priority in service. Well last night my pvc pipe cracked coming into my hot water heater. I called them and got a confirmed appointment for this morning. The girl from Kennon called me at 8am and said she has no one available till the 11th!! I explained my situation and she said sorry and understands if if I need to call someone else. That's what paying upfront does for you with them. NOTHING.. How they got best of Forsyth or any other award is beyond me.

Ac went out during summer. Had another company come out and fix issue. It was a temporary fix because a week later the same issue happened again. They came out for a second time and fixed again. Ac went out again. We had family coming into town and needed to get issue fixed asap. The company who did the originally couldn't come out so I called Kennon. They worked me in and resolved the issue. They replaced the same part the other company installed. Turns out their part was a better product. Haven't had any issues with Ac unit ever since.

e-edit and review for 10/2023 (Plumbing Review 1 star) I am not happy with their plumbing """"one man"""" team. If there is one thing I despise from contractors, is being lied too, and their only plumber Richard Demerit is dishonest and badly planned. I have texts attached of the correspondence we had. This guy came in to check a tiny leak we were having from our pressure relief valve. We were trying to have the whole water heater system replaced, because it was outdated. We tried to get it done 2 weeks out to give time for them to get their materials ready and everyone can have time to plan. But nooooooo Mr Demerit insisted on getting it done asap (next day) When he failed to keep his word, I asked for another tech to come and fix it. Funny thing is this guy is the only plumber they have. I empathize with the CSR team because it is stressful to solve a problem and not have a clear back up plan when your only plumber isn't being wanted for a job, so I understand your frustration with me. Either way they sent out the manager ,Bill Buckner, which I'm still skeptical about, because he was an HVAC person installing my water heater. He had to come back a week later to fix the water pressure, after I called and complained about it. The guy didn't have a water meter key either FFS. He had to use the one I bought for my new home. I personally would like to know if this man was licensed to be doing plumbing work. I did not get a clear answer to this. Please email me his plumbing credentials and a copy of his license to: jchavez054239@gmail.com This plumbing team service doesn't equate anywhere near the service I got from your HVAC team. They make the rest of your team look bad. The HVAC team actually cleaned up after themselves. I had to pick up all the leftover metal filings, slag, and water spilled by your """"plumbing tech"""" or else he would have just placed the water heater pan over it. For AC: 5 stars They have phenomenal customer service. I kid you not these guys came and diagnosed the issue with logic not assumptions. This man came in and began running test around the house then provided me with a conclusion from his finds. He gave great advice. Thank you for our new ac system we are very happy. Edit: The HVAC pros that helped me out were Zachary Henderson and Mike Scrimo. Zach and his partner worked great as a team. Very focused on his job. He did all he could to not ding my walls while moving the ac unit which was amazing. Thank you so much for cleaning up after yourself too. This means the most to me. It shows integrity and pride in your work. Mr Mike Scrimo was the initial technician that ran his test around the home and gave us advice regarding our ac. I like that he relies on logic and not assumptions. Thanks for sharing your findings with me and taking time to explain in layman terms what the issue was in the system. I appreciate you using logic from your test to come to a conclusion. Thanks Kennon team! I will recommend your ac team.

Was way too difficult to even get someone to check the work. Need to train your staff better so they know how to communicate with the customer

Kennon has consistently provided professional, knowledgeable, affordable service. CJ arrived on time this morning for a plumbing service. He was able to quickly tell me the source of the issue. Once we concluded, he gave me options to prevent the problem in the future. Let me also mention that this was on a holiday. The service level is top tier and I will continue to use Kennon for my HVAC and plumbing needs.

I signed up with Kennon for preventive maintenance on three units at my home. After waiting all day no one show up. I call and was told I wasn't on the schedule. After the rep ask me to wait another two and half hours, I asked for a refund then I was told it would take 60 days to get my $419.64 back. I would have excepted two to five business days but 60. Unexceptable!!!! I will be reporting them for bad business practices.

In their usual style Kennon has pulled us through another emergency. After tepid morning showers we placed an emergency call to Kennon to ask for plumbing help. With good cheer they responded the same day. Unfortunately our old hot water heater had to be replaced. That was also achieved same day. The service tech was very knowledgeable and polite, while his work was neat and precise. Very impressive! But that's what we've come to expect after a few years with Kennon. A major plus was that the price was most respectable.

I was able to quickly get an appnt using their online scheduling, in fact the very next day. The service guy, Wesley, was very nice and professional. I scheduled an a/c tune-up, but I suspected that the a/c was not cooling enough. Wesley quickly found that the external Condenser unit was not even turning on, due to a faulty capacitor (Which I understand is common). He also recommend a 'Quick-Start"""" kit, which was supposed to help regualte the voltage coming into the unit, as well as the voltage that the compressor itself is utilizing. Although I thought their pricing was a bit steep (Which is why just the 4 stars), I quickly got my a/c running again and would use them again. (I did not opt for the 'Quick-start kit')

I have a bi annual contract with Kennon and my first couple experiences with them were great. My latest experience was with my check up. The tech came checked all 3 systems. He was checking the basement system and never came back into the house. We had to search him out and he was in the driveway. A little odd to say the least. He came in and told me I need to replace my upstairs unit and coil bc of the age of the unit and some measurement t delta was showing too cold. He left. A couple days later miraculously my upstairs unit wasn't blowing cold air. I called another service to get a quote as well. The technician came and found the outside ac breaker on the ground. He inspected the system and said while it's older it doesn't need to be replaced. I called kennon bc of the breaker and asked to be reimbursed the 200. They sent a technician out again and doubled down that my system had a slow leak and needs to be replaced. No acknowledgement that pulling the breaker would make the AC not work or no offer to pay me back.

The technician assigned to check and repair my system on 8/19/2023 was poor on the communication side. After about 15 minutes after checking my system, he immediately returned and advised that they found my system with a bad capacitor, replaced capacitor and added hard start kit to system, checked temp splits and pressures, unit is working properly at this time which was more than $700.00. No explanation why it failed out than this happens. With the following notes - no breakdown of line items and what I paid for parts vs labor (which is the norm, I suppose) HN13C Silver - HN13C Main Voltage Enhancement System Renovation Main Voltage Enhancement System Renovation Upgrade to performance enhancement system Basic system restoration service Renovate electrical terminations Performance and safety testing 1 year limited warranty After installing it, the technician that was with him realized he did not connect some wire correctly and had to return to fix the issue. THEN on 4/10/2023 the same technician came out and after 10 minutes, let's give him 15 minutes, he returned to inform me that the existing fan motor had frozen up and needed to be replaced with a new indoor fan motor. I asked what caused this to happen as I already knew the answer """"It just happens, no rhyme or reason"""". Then he advised the part ranged from $600 to $2800 to replace. After about 15 more minutes he returned to inform me that to replace the fan motor it would be more than $1300.00. I advised I would get a second opinion and requested a copy of the quote. It was sent a few hours later with no breakdown of the cost for the parts and labor. I called the office to inquire about the cost and details of the line items and I still have not received a call about the cost. However, I did see where Caleb disconnected the power to the thermostat to the unit in my room and when I called to inquire what was wrong with it, I was advised they did not know and sent another technician out. At that time, I was advised that Caleb had turned the power off likely to prevent further damage however he failed to tell me this. Early this morning the office manager called and apologized and then proceeded to tell me about their additional plumbing services, I advised her that at this time, there is no need to discuss any further services with her. A neighbor referred me to a different service provider and they asked questions like, which brand would you like a carrier or a universal to replace the part and then came in at $340 under the price Kennon was saying they were charging. This was with a company that I did not receive the """"15%"""" with through the maintenance contract. I also was advised I was overcharged for the capacitor. I can tell you that my faith in this company is very tainted and would not refer them to anyone. It is sad that you place you trust in a company to do their job and this happens. Poor service. I understand that things happen, it is not their fault, but the service expectations are high for what they are charging to receive such poor service. If I could rate a ZERO, I would definitely do that!
