I called. They came. I paid the 88 dollar house call fee. Then I was told I had a leak and I would need to pay the 212 dollar fee to FIND the leak...THEN I would be told how much it would COST to actually fix the leak but it could vary. I immediately felt I was being taken for a ride as we say.... I paid the guy the 88 dollar fee, gave him my birth date and DL number for the check i wrote...then he told me HE HAD TO VERIFY THE INFORMATION as if I were not being honest. I complied. The technician they sent was very nice but I did tell him I would be telling all my family, friends, coworkers, etc.. to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY..............

I called because my AC kept freezing over. Keefe sent a tech, who then AGREED my unit probably had a leak, charged me their assessment fee, which I paid. Only then did their tech inform me that he will not work on my unit because of some liability issue? What a scam.

Stay away from this company. They are extremely over priced and their
A/C techs are not knowledgable at all. Wanted to charge me around $900.00 for freon and a general maintenance service on my unit. After charging me a diagnostics fee I told them to get lost. My A/C tech came the following Monday and did the same work for around $200.00. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!!

Keefe's technicians are awesome! They have helped me troubleshoot over the phone to save me a service call and even walked me trough a simple capacitor replacement saving me $150.

My experience with this company has been nothing but positive. I run a service company and know the challenges they face servicing customers in a bad situation. They are fist class. I recommend them to everyone and felt this Yelp review was worth sharing.

Don't waste time and money calling anyone else. Call Keefe's. (I think that is what their commercials say).

I had an experience similar to what Jeff R. described in his review. The sales tech came out, spent about 3-4 minutes looking at the existing unit, and then told me they do specialized testing to determine exactly what a new installation should be in our home before he could give me a quote. The catch, we'd have to commit to using them or shell out $800 for said test. Since I wasn't jumping at the opportunity to enlist their services right then and there, he said something along the lines of ""we have plenty of business, so we're all good if you don't hire us"".

This is tantamount to going to an auto dealership and having the saleman tell you that you have to commit to buying a car from him before he even shows you any inventory or pricing. If you agree to those terms, you'll have to buy your way out of that commitment if you don't like what you see.

I'm disappointed I wasted time calling them instead of another contractor to get a valid quote.

I will NEVER use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone!!! We had to have our whole unit replaced which was right at $8000. They had to take down the attic stairs to get the new unit in. Once the job was ""finished"" they asked my husband if he could put the stairs back in. He told them no and asked if they would. After reinstalling the attic stairs, they left dirt all over the floor below and on my living room floor leading outside. I spoke with a rep at the office and she said ""They weren't supposed to take the stairs down. They should have stopped the job and called out a contractor, so they did you a favor!"" I have had problems with my thermostat since the installation of the new unit and they wanted to charge me $85 just to come out and that didn't go towards any labor. I wish I could go back 1 1/2 yrs and NOT use them!!!!!

We have used Keefe's for our family homes & businesses. They are always on top of it as soon as we call with an issue.....Issues that have nothing to do with their service, but service from past companies.

Rock Solid Fast service with a technician more interested in making sure we got what was best as opposed to selling us everything under the sun. It ended up we needed a new air conditioning unit , so we got one that looks like it will save us on the energy bill. During the install they were on time and very neat. It took two days so they cleaned up both days and it looked like they'd never been here...in a good way. You can't go wrong with KEEFE'S!

My 130 year old house has entered the 20th century when I had central air & heat installed a couple of months ago. It was a pretty straight forward job as my attic has plenty of space and y'know a shotgun equals a straight run.

My sales person, Chase, was great and we discussed then entire job and the contract detailed every aspect. Which was great as a referral tool during the install. The price was good and I asked (and received a discount) because I had 2 systems installed (both sides of my shotgun).

The actual installers tried to be as neat as possible which was difficult considering the volume of slate debris in my attic and that my ceilings are doubled...old plaster with lathe and then a layer of gypsum board (pre-dates modern drywall). The job went as Chase had told me it would.

I've been really happy so far and my house has been nice and cool in August & September. We'll see how toasty warm I am in a month or so.

When you are in the middle of summer and your air conditioning has died and you are ready to kill your fellow cohabitants due to being out of your mind hot, you want to call someone who knows how to fix the ac. That's when you have to call Keefe's.

We have been using Keefe's for as long as I can remember and they are always friendly, quick and know exactly how to solve whatever air conditioner problem that you may have. On more than one occasion, they have come to the house past 7 o'clock at night in order to take a look at things. Also, they don't overcharge you. If it's a small repair that has to be done, they charge a small price. They are extremely fair and efficient.
