If you have a problem with your AC during these hot summer months and you needed like now, this is going to be the routine, first you call, to an answering machine, then when they call you back they tell you it will in the next couple of days or so. Save yourself all this hustle and call Keefe's, they went all out, I told her I needed like now otherwise I keep on calling people, told me this is the last place you are going to call and told me they will be there in the afternoon, not exactly when but assured they will be there, called ahead to let you know that someone was on the way, the technician shows up, puts some booties over his work boots before he enters your house, a definitive touch of a first class operation, lacking a part he calls the office and it's delivered to him and while he waits he jury rigs the AC so the house starts cooling, the part is here, problem ac solved. So professional that I signed up for their yearly maintenance. He even checked to make sure the ac was under warranty and saved me some money. Definitely 5-star service from the person that answers your call to the serviceman. Thanks

It's Monday and my AC has been out since Thursday evening. I called Keefe's on Friday and the soonest they could come out was Monday. I wanted service sooner, but trusted they would rescue me as promised. They sent me a text confirming the appointment yesterday. HOWEVER, at 10 AM they called to say they will not be able to make it today and would I like to reschedule. WHAT??? It's 90 degrees in my house right now and has been for three long days!! I took off work to be here - NO, I don't want to reschedule! I called another company who should be here in a few hours. They may be good, but I will never know. Don't rely on Keefe's.

Don't waste your time this company they will use your need for Repair against you! Warning, if you are in a pinch get off this AC company and keep looking. Keefe's I have used a couple times and at first they seemed reliable but then they went into a bizarre sales pitch to convince me to get a year ""contract"". I stupidly took them up on this expensive offer and don't really hear from them again even when I brought it up to another tech for my other unit. On that unit we are told that we need a new condenser costing nearly 5k, and lucky us we can finance it (oddly at a much higher credit limit). That 5k unit clearly didn't fix it (oops) so they say they have to redo some pipe, add 2k suddenly to that loan. This happens at the beginning of the pandemic where I ask no less than four times to do the servicing for the other unit since we are paying $6000 to have a new unit installed on the other side. They refused, now here we are in the heat of the summer and no income and it stops working due to not being serviced, perfect, I have a service ""contract"". We call and they say that they can get a tech there for $80 and the lady on the phone groaned and says the because we pay for the service plan we can have him come at $79. $79 we get a whole one dollar discount for the 400+ dollar plan they don't even uphold. Then the lady on the phone tells us that she will have him come immediately, next Monday, in the heat of summer Not to mention it is broken down because it was not serviced back in March when they were in our house. We are currently Unemployed due to the pandemic and now buying a window unit so our renter has some relief for $500. I am also contacting our lawyer over this. They do not honor their contracts. Avoid!!

My 130 year old house has entered the 20th century when I had central air & heat installed a couple of months ago. It was a pretty straight forward job as my attic has plenty of space and y'know a shotgun equals a straight run.
My sales person, Chase, was great and we discussed then entire job and the contract detailed every aspect. Which was great as a referral tool during the install. The price was good and I asked (and received a discount) because I had 2 systems installed (both sides of my shotgun).
The actual installers tried to be as neat as possible which was difficult considering the volume of slate debris in my attic and that my ceilings are doubled...old plaster with lathe and then a layer of gypsum board (pre-dates modern drywall). The job went as Chase had told me it would.
I've been really happy so far and my house has been nice and cool in August & September. We'll see how toasty warm I am in a month or so.

I had Keefe's come out to inspect my AC unit, because the unit wasn't cooling correctly. The repairman was Ray Sims. He spent couple of hours checking it out, then called me back and told me I needed a new thermostat that would cost $475 and $300 Labor. I asked him the model of the thermostat, and he couldn't tell me, he explained that his parts man knew.
I called the office to see if I could find out, and they then had Ray call me and I got the same answer. I emailed the owner, and never get a response, and then received on from with with the model. I never did replace it.
I had Gulf Coast Refrigeration come out, and figured out it was the capacitor going bad. They replaced it for $40.

If you are in the market for a whole home generator or need someone to check out your AC, LOOK ELSEWHERE! Worse mistake I ever made was hiring Keefe's to install a Generac generator. Too many issues to list on the installation and they do not have any qualified, factory trained Generac technicians on their payroll. The first year required scheduled maintenance was scheduled a week ago for today. No one showed up. I cannot count the times Keefe's failed to show up for appointments. Seems that some other customer has issues that are more important than your time. My daughter had a yearly checkup performed by Keefe's on her AC system, which was working just fine. Over $400 later, and a cancelled and rescheduled appointment by Keefe's, it is still working fine.
Since the first appointment was blown off by Keefe's, I rescheduled the appointment to have my Generac generator's one year maintenance performed, which had already been paid for in the initial installation cost. Since they wasted a whole day of my time previously, I was promised a morning arrival with a 45-minute notice. Neither happened! The tech showed up at 4:00 with no warning, which I do not blame on him because the office personnel is supposed to handle the scheduling and call ahead. After all of the headaches and wasted time, Toby, who was actually certified by Generac, did an excellent job and performed all of the tasks that is listed in the Generac maintenance booklet. He even erected a canopy over the generator to protect it from the light rain. Although my opinion of Keefe's has not changed, I will have to think long and hard before having the second-year maintenance performed.

My mother called Keefe's AC Heating and Electrical to have her AC unit service due to it started running hot
On July 30 2018 Keefe's was scheduled to come to my mother's house for 11 am to service her AC unit The service tach John B showed up 10 minutes late He inspected her AC unit and informed her that she needed a new AC unit and the cost is $8,000.00 Because her AC unit is unrepairable The service tach John B took advantage of my elderly mother He put a portable AC unit in her window and told her he was going to give her a call to set up an appointment to install her new AC unit My mother paid the service tach John B $88.00 for his lies and $500.00 for the downpayment on the new AC unit My mother called me and told me that she have to purchase a new AC unit and it cost$8,000.00 I told her to CANCEL that work order I called another company They came 30 after Keefe's service tach John B left and they inspected her AC unit and changed out the compressor and my mother's AC unit was working again My mother called Keefe's back and spoke with the receptionist Brianne M to telling her AC unit was working again and the service tach John B lied to her and they can come to pick up the portable AC unit Brianne M and the others staff members Selena P Monica R and Karie G started giving my mother the running around stating that there's no manager in the office someone will call you back and she's still waiting
On August 01 2018 I called Keefe's I spoke with Karie G I told her about my mother's situation and I was told the manager was not in the office and someone will return my call
Keefe's AC Heating and Electrical located at 2233 Lafayette Avenue in Harvey La is a BIG RIP-OFF and they take advantage of poor elderly people especially the elderly woman great job John B the service tach Brianne M Selena P Monica R and Karie G for being apart of the BIG RIP-OFF TEAM This company doesn't deserve any stars but you have to pick one to post your review

they overcharge, lie and misdiagnose to get business. they quoted me 11,500.00 for my 650 sf condo. DO NOT GIVE THEM A DOWN PAYMENT YOU WILL HAVE TO CALL YOUR BANK TO GET IT BACK. scammers!! they send a repair person then a sales person to bait and switch. DISGUSTING. if I could give them -1000 I would. horrible service, and they lied to us

Had a new ac unit installed yesterday way overpriced $16000 now the ac unit doesn't blow cold air it's extremely hot in my house plus I can't get a technician out they keep saying 8am-11am and still nobody shows up called to speak to a supervisor she claim they was in a meeting but guess what I'm getting a lawyer and I will sue because I be dam if I pay for a unit that doesn't work properly 0 stars DO NOT GO WITH THEM THEY ARE A SCAM

I will NEVER use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone!!! We had to have our whole unit replaced which was right at $8000. They had to take down the attic stairs to get the new unit in. Once the job was ""finished"" they asked my husband if he could put the stairs back in. He told them no and asked if they would. After reinstalling the attic stairs, they left dirt all over the floor below and on my living room floor leading outside. I spoke with a rep at the office and she said ""They weren't supposed to take the stairs down. They should have stopped the job and called out a contractor, so they did you a favor!"" I have had problems with my thermostat since the installation of the new unit and they wanted to charge me $85 just to come out and that didn't go towards any labor. I wish I could go back 1 1/2 yrs and NOT use them!!!!!
