On APRIL 16, 2024 the salesperson for Keefe's, David Dobbins, came out to provide an estimate for a whole house generator. Mr. Dobbins was very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. He told us that the company had six (6) installation crews so once the permit was approved by the City of Slidell the install could begin soon after. He also mentioned that the City Permit office sometimes is slow to process permits. I signed a contract with Keefe's for a 26 Kw whole house generator (Briggs & Stratton) that same day. Mr. Dobbins said he would submit the request for the permit that day. On MAY 20, 2024 we still had not heard anything from Keefe's about the permit so we placed a call to Keefe's office and was informed by the young lady who answered the phone that they had not as yet received the permit from the City. We once more waited patiently to hear back from Keefe's. During the second week of JUNE, around the 10th or 11th, we decided to make a direct call to the City of Slidell's Permit office and was told that the permit was approved and sent to Keefe's on MAY 5, 2024. We were irritated, dismayed and angry because we knew we were being lied to this whole time. An installation crew showed up the very next week around JUNE 17th and worked all day long digging the line for the gas piping, running the piping to the spot where the generator is placed and installing the generator itself. The crew supervisor told us through casual conversation that Keefe's only had ONE installation crew and was working on hiring more employees in order to acquire more installation crews. On JUNE 24, 2024, the generator and the installation work was inspected and approved by our natural gas company, ATMOS. On JUNE 25, 2024 a service tech from Keefe's came out to demonstrate the operation of the generator, provided instruction and programmed the unit to run once per week on a day and at a time we chose for its weekly maintenance run. The service tech was very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. This unit although it is large in size runs at a very nice decimal - not real loud. IF Keefe's office personnel would have been truthful and honest about having to delay our install because they had only one crew I would have given a higher rate than 3 stars. No-one likes to be lied to and that's what happened in our particular case. What should have taken one month actually took over two months from beginning to end. Being honest with your customers is a very valuable tool. I can handle delays, but I am not very acceptable to being lied to.

Scam company. Disconnected my pipe on a prospective service call and caused my ac to leak through my roof. Abhorrent behavior. Do not place your trust and assets with then

I have a contract to service my ac unit and when it went out on a Saturday the answering service assured me a call back, then on Sunday twice more assured me a call back and finally on the 4th call another answering service person said they don't service on the weekends except for what they have installed in last 6 months. This company used to be great. This is terrible service for a long time customer who has a contract with them

do not use this company. They serviced my unit and told me I needed to replace it and it would cost $8000 because I had a leaky coil and I was running on R22 Freon and they're not allowed to use that Freon anymore. So I called someone else to come out and they brought a new coil and it turns out I have 410 a Freon, not R22. there is big sticker on the back of the unit that says 410A. Long story short I change the coil for $900 and a non-shady vendor put in the Freon. Oh, and keefes also charge me to change a fan motor and did not clean the unit, they left dirt, grime and debris in it so the non-shady vendor fixed me up in that area as well. And I will be calling keefes for a refund ASAP. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Overpriced ripoff artists. I got charged $1200 to replace a capacitor and to install hard start kit. They screwed up in January and told me I had another year on my membership, but it turned out to be a mistake on their end. They will only give member discount if I renew even though the mixup was totally on them. Avoid this company at all costs!

This place has got to do better. Paid a premium thinking it was a well known and reputable company. Its been almost one year and well over 17K and service still sucks. Unit works but service and timeliness leave much to be desired!
Wish someone would have told me something different....

AC not working properly since installed a month ago comes on every 5mins..12 times in an hour very very dissatisfied

Keefe's replaced a motor for my a/c. The technician left this pipe exposed and leaking in the attic. The leak ran down my walls, through the kitchen and master bathroom. The leak has gone through my flooring across the house. I've had to contact a contractor to get this fixed and will not update this review until Keefe's takes the next step to rectify and do right by the situation. This is going to be a costly repair and the motor replacement was already $1400+ dollars. You've been warned.

This company is completely disrespectful. On Christmas Eve Morning they choose to not only do a super early job, but the were loud. Playing loud music as they worked almost as if they enjoyed making the chaos for the neighborhood.

Keef-s spend more time attempting to sell you a brand new unit tan trying to fix the problem. To add insult to injury if all else fails they will go hard in trying to sell you their service plan. The only thing I gained out of this experience was feeling bad and defeated
