1st of all, if I could give Kama Hele 100+ stars, I would! It all started with a sewage blockage in my very old galvanized cast iron pipes... I called a number of large and very well-known companies who were all promoting and extolling the benefits of the epoxy pipe relining system (trenchless technology) as the best way to go i.e. 535 Plumbing, Pipe Master, Pueo Plumbing, Steve's Plumbing, etc. They all made the epoxy pipe relining system (trenchless technology) sound like God's gift to mankind but they are not open and transparent in telling you the ""negatives"", the ""downside"". For example, one of their workers (535 Plumbing) confidentially told me that for her own home, she was planning to do it the old fashioned way (excavation and PVC pipe replacement) and when I asked her why she wasn't doing the NuFlow system, she stated that she didn't really believe in the NuFlow system which her company was promoting. In addition, two plumbers from 535 Plumbing confided that they would never do the NuFlow system in their own homes because a snake cutter would literally destroy the epoxy pipe relining system (trenchless technology). Concerned, I asked Mike (Pueo Plumbing manager) if it was true that a snake cutter would destroy the epoxy pipe relining system (Brawoliner / Picote), that they were promoting. He hemmed and hawed and finally was forced to admit ""Well, a ""snake cutter"" might tear up the 2-part epoxy but a hydrojet will not damage the epoxy pipe relining system."" And how much would hydrojetting cost? His answer as well as the answers I got from all of the above companies was shocking... In other words, they charge an exorbitant fee to install the epoxy pipe relining system in the first place and then these plumbing companies have ensnared you on the backend because your only alternative in the event there is a future sewage clog in the epoxy pipe relining system is to have them use a hydrojet to remove the sewage blockage which would have you shelling out hundreds of $$$ more than a snake cutter for galvanized or PVC...One company quoted a whopping $3000! Are you kidding me?!!! In any event, I decided to do it the old-fashioned way, excavation and PVC pipe replacement... After a lot of research and getting price gouging bids ranging from $15,000 - $16,000 from 535 Plumbing, Pipe Master, Pueo Plumbing, Steve's Plumbing, etc., I finally found an HONEST plumber of integrity, Kama Hele Plumbing who gave me a very fair bid of a fraction of what the other companies wanted to charge... John Arapari, owner of Kama Hele gave me an incredible quote and he was so honest, open and transparent not only in his verbal commitment but when I actually received his written bid, he detailed everything in minute detail as far as exactly what materials he was going to use and the step-by-step process of exactly what his team would be doing which made me feel very confident that at last, I had found a trust-worthy company. The other bids that I received were so ambiguous and sketchy that I really felt they were deliberately trying to be vague to cover their ""you know what"" which didn't give me feeling of confidence that I was dealing with a trust-worthy company... Caveat emptor, companies with a large staff and payroll are going to charge considerably more because they have to meet payroll every month...Also, you are just a ""number"" to them and there is not the same personal touch as when dealing with a smaller company like Kama Hele... And of paramount importance, a smaller company like Kama Hele charges reasonable prices not rip-off prices like the above companies who again, have to meet payroll for their large staff... Kama Hele did such a superlative job that I decided to pay them an extra bonus of $1000 and treat all of their 6 plumbers to dinner at Gen Yakiniku BBQ...Now, that's a testimonial for how much I love Kama Hele, John Apari (owner), Harry Patinio (such a joy to work with) and all of their stellar plumbers... Thank you Kama Hele! You are a breath of fresh air and truly are a company that puts the customer first and quotes fair and reasonable prices...You have my business forever...I am a broadcaster by nature and I have shared my experiences with everyone I know and will continue to do so...You deserve all of your 5-star Yelp reviews and as I mentioned above, if I could, I would give Kama Hele 100+ stars...

Harry (the very gracious owner) dispatched Osha and Alysa to our condo in less than an hour to fix a drainage problem. It was a complicated job because the drain flows from the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and washer into a main line. They fixed the problem in less than 45 minutes in a very professional, courteous, and teamwork manner. We were so pleased and impressed by their knowledge and workmanship. We had the same problem last year and it took one of those ""rotor"" named companies three trips to fix over the course of a full, painful week and cost us 3x as much. Our resident manager (who is very discerning about plumbers for good reason) was so happy that he asked for their business card. That alone was a 5 star compliment. Honestly, we couldn't be happier with our experience and Kama Hele will be our go-to plumber forever, especially Osha and Alysa. Mahalo to both of them!

Had Couple Plumbing Issues In My Home That Needed Immediate Attention. I Called Kama Hele Plumbing To See If I Could Have Someone Come Out And Fix The Plumbing Problems . Multiple Companies Came Before I Called Kama Hele Plumbing And All Of Them Could Not Fix The Problem's That I Was Having. I Spoke To Harry Over The Phone And Scheduled A Time To Have One Of His Guys Come Out And Check On The Plumbing Problems . He Sent Out A Gentleman Named Ocean . He Arrived On Time And Also Called Me To Let Me Know He Was On His Way. When He Arrived He Immediately Got To Work. After About 20-25 Minutes He Came Out Of My Bathroom And Told Me That He Unclogged My Back To Back Showers. I Was Shocked! MULTIPLE PLUMBING COMPANIES CAME OUT AND COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM . I Was Delighted To Know That My Plumbing Problems Were Finally Over And My Family And I Could Shower Without Any Water Collecting At Our Ankles!! Ocean Cleaned Up Whatever Mess Was Made And Tested The Work That Was Performed On My Shower Drains .It Drained Perfectly. He Wrote Me Up An Invoice And Double Checked His Work . Ocean Was Very RESPECTFUL And POLITE. Such Amazing Customer Service!!! I Would Recommend Ocean From Kama Hele Plumbing To Take Care Of Your Plumbing Problems. Thank You Ocean For All Your Hard Work !!!!!

This plumber was called to Mokuleia Surf building in Waialua HI bt property manager Bryn James from All Community Management. For about 1.5 yrs (from nov 2019 to may 2021) they kept coming to the building and ""could not find the source of floid"" into my unit on 1st floor. They blamed the almost intact and almost dry cast tub on 3rd floor, then they blamed toilet on 3rd floor...in the unit of whisleblower... They never used moisure meter nor inspected bathroom pipes on 2nd floor... in the unit of board supporter.... And bc they blamed it on leaks from 3rd floor, they refused to repair anything and let my unit get flooded many times. Finally ut started floiding the 2nd floor... So me and 2nd floor owner hired steves plumbing who within 1 hr with moisure meter and common sense found the leak in 2nd floor pipes.. And btw Kamahele plumbing does have moisure meter. They used it when helping a board member. The owner of jamahele plumbing was there in may 2021 i was there is person as he claimed it was 301 tub flooding my unit, which is a blatant ... lie. They and the property manager played a game and charged so much money for nothing. I would say they shouldnt practice plumbing, they are an unethical company

Great company! Very professional. Arrived on time and completed the job quickly. We had water seeping out from below the very back of our toilet out onto our porch. James diagnosed it, and replaced the seal. Resealed it and cleaned up well. We highly recommend Kama Hele!

If you need your plumbing to go from point A to point B, but you prefer it stops at points C, D, E, F and G, and then for good measure points D.5 and F.5, then Kamehele is for you. If you want your plumbing to be put together with whatever left overs are in the van, rather than what you really need, then Kamehele is for you. If you want to pay $2,000 to a reputable plumber to fix the crap that Kamehele did, then Kamehele is for you.

Called for backed up kitchen sink expecting to get an appt. later in the week since it was not an emergency. Live person answered phone and someone was sent out that afternoon. Workers wore masks, kept area clean, and very friendly and polite. Great service!!

This company was excellent. Replaced a sewer line and did it in a way that was more work for them but saved me money. They also did a few other things at no additional cost and left the house looking better than they found it. Highly recommend you contact them for a bid for any of your plumbing work.
