I didn't think I was going to find a plumber in Hawaii who knows his stuff AND charges you reasonable fees, until I met Rick at Kama Hele Plumbing! So, here are my reasons for giving Kama Hele Plumbing 5 stars. Competence/Efficiency: I was expecting the worst when my home in Ocean Pointe needed a new low-boy water heater that was VERY hard to find; one other plumber I called before Kama Hele swore that they no longer make a model of that (low but wide) size and gave up on me! Rick proved him wrong by getting a similar model via special order at Home Depot. Price: I was pleasantly surprised by the overall cost of labor and parts, especially since this was not your average stock water heater you could pick up at Home Depot. Customer service: swift (even by mainland standards) and courteous. When Rick realized that our special order from Home Depot would take longer than initially anticipated, he offered to do an interim install of a temporary water heater free of charge (because mine was pretty much on its way out) while we waited for ours! Jeannie (sp?) who handled the scheduling and payment was quick at providing me an emailed estimate and bill/payment receipt at each transaction. Convenience: I didn't even need to be home for the estimate, temporary water heater install and the final water heater install, since my water heater shed was outside the house. Plus, they accept credit cards over the phone!

Great service! Fast and efficient! We had a leak in our bathroom due to the previous owners cutting corners and using the wrong parts under the sink. Rudy came in and said he had never seen work done like that. He was able to install the right parts in less than 15 mins! Now we have pipes that don't leak. We look forward to working with Kama Hele plumbing in the future. Thank you Rick for your quick response and thank you Rudy for a job well done!!!

Called Rick as a referral and I must say he is the nicest guy. I've called other plumbers before and they rushed me off the phone or said they were too busy and never returned my call. Rick made me feel very comfortable and listened to my concern I had about my toilet. He sent someone over within a couple days to check out the problem and snake my toilet. I would definitely recommend them if you want fast and efficient service!!!!

Rick and his team are experienced professionals who understand customer service. Don't let plumbers in Hawaii give you high cost proposals with the ""that's how it is in Hawaii"" excuse. Rick is very reasonable and will give you quality work. We were referred to Rick through our home inspector for a condo purchase. The bathroom needed a significant overhaul. New toilet, new supply valves, new shower valve, new sink, new tub surround/tile. We had a specific schedule that we needed to keep due to some conflicting requirements and particular allowable workdays due to condo association rules. Rick and his guys completed all of the work expertly and right on schedule. No complaints, no extra charges. The work is high quality. I'll close with the fact that I am a construction project manager by profession. Have been for 25 years. I know a great contractor when I hire one and Rick is a great contractor.

Started off with great communication with Rick (Working Owner) via text. He was very open, thorough, knowledgable & professional. He gave a pretty sweet quote that's hard to beat. Toby (Manager) mirrored the aspects that of Rick, so that consistency was great to work with. Toby was able to schedule me in as soon as there was an opening which is hard because these guys are sought after (had to wait 3 weeks for my service). My issue was a leaky water heater tank. What makes it a more daunting issue is that I have two 38 gal tanks located high up, wedged in the roof line/ceiling area of my car garage. This stupid set up is for conservation of space on the actual garage floor. However, this makes it impossible for many plumbing companies to even attempt to get up there due to hazards, liability, & just simple safety concerns. Yet Kama Hele Plumbing went head down and charged for the kill. Couple service guys came in Rudy & Jamie to hit this project and did a fantastic job. Good thing Rudy is a bear & Jamie like SpiderMan climbing up in the roof beams. Dunno how they did it, but they managed to extract the two tanks, AND installed another brand new tank. Rudy was really personable, answered my questions and very professional. And like I said earlier, the cost of doing all this work was really wallet friendly. Highly suggest, highly recommend =)

Found water dripping through our ceiling and called Kamahele. John came out that day and crawled up in our hot and funky attic to repair a solar panel water line that had developed pin leaks. He told us how large the wet area was and then poked a hole in the ceiling to allow the water to drain. This could have been really bad if it hadn't been fixed as soon as it was. John was professional, efficient and very helpful. We highly recommend Kamahele and will definitely call them next time we need plumbing support.

Called for backed up kitchen sink expecting to get an appt. later in the week since it was not an emergency. Live person answered phone and someone was sent out that afternoon. Workers wore masks, kept area clean, and very friendly and polite. Great service!!

Phone call to company was answered promptly and was able to give a quick estimate right then. Was able to refine the quote with followup pics. Then was able to get on their schedule in less than a week (and was only hampered by me needing to adhere to HOA reporting requirements, they could have fit us in sooner). Full work crew was able to work hard and diligently to do our long list of plumbing repairs. Highly would recommend for others needing honest and affordable plumbing work done. Will definitely use them again in the future.
