At just 10 years old, Kevin started his own business, recognizing he was too young for regular jobs. He took a few dollars from his parents to kick off a shoe-shining enterprise. He discovered the joy of setting his own hours and earning money for treats like candy and toys. In his journey, he has operated more businesses than he has worked for other employers. He entered the plumbing field as an apprentice in 1987 at a large plumbing, heating, and air conditioning company, later securing his contractor's license. He established his own business in 1993 while teaching heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. His dedication has always been to offer top-notch customer service to the community he has resided in for more than 31 years.

Rahul P.Came to my home when my water heater broke. Technican was really underprepared. Came in charged me 60 bucks and told me it can be 3 parts broken....and she can't narrow it down as she didn't have a voltmeter. Really....why did you come to my house then.... I send her back to get the voltmeter...... then she gave me a quote of $583 to change ignition rod.... which is worth $20 bucks..... I said no thank you and changed it my self in 15 minutes.... hire them if you are super rich and don't know how to waste money....
Sargon T.Wow and really wow. Server rooms AC went out and even though Kalka is not our regular maintenance company and we called them from internet search and they showed up on time. Well him. Wade Fowler is truly one of kind. He diagnosed the problems (yes several of them that our regular maintenance guys sweep under the carpet) and fixed them one by one. We were up and running in few hours on the weekend and St. Patrick's weekend for that matter. I cannot thank him enough. I also have to mention that on top of his great skills the manners and professionalism was top notch and we couldn't have ask for a nicer guy. Thank you Wade!!
1 star is still too many - I've given the owner Kevin and the company two months to sort out my bill and they have yet called me back to discuss. Watch out - they don't itemize your bill which could lead to overcharging, which it did in my case. I wanted to submit my bill to my home warranty company to get part of it reimbursed but since it was a non- itemized bill I couldn't do anything with it. When I called to sort out the expense charge on a $8 part I have yet to get an answer from the owner after at least ten calls since Dec. 8th. I'm a ""member"" and they still haven't even credited back my initial service visit which is to me removed if they need to come back. To recap, I have two charges, no return calls and the worst customer service experience of my life.
Mark I.Had a slab leak and Sara and Lawerence fixed it quickly with a minimum disturbance to walls and floor. They also kept me informed while doing their work and were very polite. I'll definitely be using them again.

First, let me give the review some context - our home is serviced by two separate air conditioning units. On the Friday before Labor Day at 5:30 p.m., when it had been over 100 degrees for at least 2 straight weeks, BOTH of our air conditioners broke down. We have two toddlers under 3 years old. The temperature inside the home was unbearable, and down right unsafe for two babies. After spending a sleepless Friday night in total misery, we took the kids to a hotel.
Kalka Air was the ONLY company who returned my calls. I left messages with half a dozen HVAC companies in the area, including our home warranty company, and NO ONE got back to me that weekend except Kalka. On top of that, they sent a service technician out on Sunday morning. Did I mention this was Labor Day weekend???
Not only did Kalka come to the rescue for our family on a holiday weekend when literally no other company even gave me a call-back, but to boot, the service technician Brandon (I'm sorry, I don't remember his last name) was the most thoughtful and empathetic technician I've ever met. He spent the time to explain everything he was doing, step-by-step, he was extremely patient (especially with my 2 year old son who kept handing Brandon his little tikes tools in an attempt to help the situation), and he stuck around to answer all of our questions after fixing BOTH air conditioning units.
Even though this review is a little late, I want to make sure that I give a GIANT thank you (and 5 star review) to both Kalka Air and their service technician Brandon, because they were the heros of the summer for our family. I highly recommend them to anyone who's in need of HVAC work in Orange County. I definitely plan on using them in the future!

The BAD
I needed to have one of my furnaces replaced, during a cold spell. Despite being a member of their maintenance plan/club, the quote seemed a bit high. After some thought, I researched other options and found several companies that offered larger/more efficient HVAC systems - with the most expensive being 20% LESS than my Kalka quote. The sad part? When I cancelled my order, the manager that tried to sell me the more expensive system tried to appeal to my sense of loyalty, and asked for an opportunity to match the price. I declined, since I felt my loyalty (about a decade) should not be ""rewarded"" by opportunistic pricing.
The GOOD
I needed maintenance on my upstairs AC unit, and Kevin did an excellent job of repairing and maintaining the unit. He had it cooling within an hour, and kept the area very clean.
I guess the morale of this is to always research any purchase, no matter how loyal of a customer you may be.
Matt W.Great service and SUPER fast. They got out to me in less than an hour which was very very helpful. Lawrence, the on-site technician was really friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Also, Maria at their office was super nice and helpful when making the appointment. Will definitely use them for all our future plumbing needs!
Previous woman, Sara, came out to install Halo system n all was superb. My home owner association said the purging pipe needed to be re-routed differently. Ben Franklin sent Lawrence out this time.
Lawrence was briefed on the situation n got strait to work. It was done in abt 1 hour. He reprogrammed everything, made sure it worked, shook hands n said good bye.
Lawrence reminded me of Jimmy Stewart, the old movie star; good 'ol country fella with an ""aw shucks"" demeanor.
Good guy, good work. But he left a tool behind. So Lawrence, if you'r reading this, come on back n pick up your tool in the back yard. Maybe I'll leave out a glass of lemonade for ya. You drive safe now, you hear...
