We have a condo. The plumbers with K&S came out and said the problem was the main line, not our condo and there was nothing they could do. I asked if they could run the snake down the toilet just to be sure. He said this was an """"insurance call"""" so they were allowed to snake the toilet (???). (He ended up running some kind of 10ft contraption down the toilet, and no it did not help.) We then spoke with a board member who lives next door and they approved payment to K&S plumbers to go ahead and fix the issue at the main line. The technician called his manager who said they do not do things like that. The HOA board member called the main office and was told again, that they ONLY do insurance calls and not plumbing jobs in an emergency or big jobs that involve multiple units. You may want to be aware of this before calling this business, it appears that they just have a company that comes out, tells you they can't do anything, and bills your insurance.

Terrible company and management. Refused to repair a hot water heater that was tagged """"Danger"""" by a Spire Gas Inspector. The water heater baffle was collapsed. Do not use this company and honestly, American Home Shield is worthless as well.

Horribly unpleasant, I wasted a half day from work to be hung up on by their answering service. Plumber drove by my house and didn't answer the phone when I immediately called back. Truly atrocious want to treat people.

Most unprofessional company I have every worked with in any field. I guess my biggest question is that how does AHS continue to utilize this company with ratings as low as they have. AHS, aren't you afraid that you are turning away customers because of this unprofessional company you are contracting out to? My suggestion, if you are filing a claim through AHS, request another company other than K&S plumbing because I can assure you there will be a huge disappointment. Biggest frustration, we, customers pay monthly bills for a trashy unprofessional service that fails to deliver more times than not. one of the biggest scams anyone can be apart of. It's sad.

Our gas pipe was accidentally cut outside and we were looking at days with no hot water, cooking or heat if needed . We called K&S and Dylan was here within hours. What a wonderful experience. Very professional and knowledgeable!! We are very satisfied and recommend this company for all your gas/plumbing needs.

AHS home warranty sent K&S Plumbing tech Cody and Dakota to fix the garbage disposal. Cody removed a top from the garbage disposal which fix it. He stated that a new faucet for the sink and a line needed replacing. He stated that the company would only allow $30.00 toward a new faucet and I would have to add $125.00 if I wanted one like mine; which was a nice thick Delta. He replaced it with a cheap thin Delta that looks like a toy. The water pressure will only go so high and the knobs are really thin. I would not recommend K&S Plumbing in Alabaster, AL to my worst enemy. I have contacted both companies. I think that home warranties company should check behind these types of companies, so that they will not do this to other companies. They should be held responsible for their actions.

Would never use this company again. Our kitchen sink was backed up. Call K&S plumbing to have a technician come out to snake the line. He arrived to inform us that he couldn't snake the line and we need a whole new P trap system that would be $255.00 plus the $75.00 service fee. I ask there is no way to snake the drain he said no you need a new P trap. I told him that's crazy and told him to leave but still had to pay the 75.00 service fee. I called another plumbing company. The technician came out same day snaked the line from my sink drain the same drain K & S said they couldn't run snake through. Took the new technician a total of maybe 5 min To unclog the line. Total cost was $155.00.

Company contracted through AHS warranty. Didn't have an appointment for days then came after their assigned 4 hour window. As other reviews have said they said they had to do $1000 of other work to """"bring it up to code"""" that wouldn't be covered by the warranty and refused to do the warranty work unless I did the other stuff. Absolutely corrupt company.

Walked in, spent 10 min. Said he didn't have the ability to fix. Left. Said he would have the office call. Haven't heard a word about reschedule.

Jan 5, 2022 Company was sent out through AHS. I had a burst pipe, called them and they came out 2 days later. Of course the water had been turned off for those days. Appointment was between 8 am and 12 pm. He calls at 11:20 and says he's about 20-25 minutes out. This was after I called 5 minutes earlier to check his status. He gets here a little before 12, they turn the water on, he looks around the house and the area where I advised the leak was. I explained everything and how the numbers on the meter were racing before we cut the water off. He determined that there wasn't a leak and he found no issues. He was gone in about 20 minutes after arriving. Not even an hour after he arrived (about 30 minutes after he left), there goes the water spurting everywhere. No one to call and I'd have to wait another 3 or so days for someone to come out. Paid the deductible for the visit and had to purchase the part and my husband fixed it hisself. You would think he would've known that if the water had been turned off, he would need to give it time to build up the pressure before he could see the leak. Not pleased with services at all!
