Zero stars this is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with there manager Don is a great snake oil salesman Mr All American NOTHING but lies since day 1 they know NOTHING about handicap bathroom installs for YOUR needs they are great liar's on project timelines and cost to get you to sign up fast. They are short staffed do not have enough skilled workers remember this is a plumbing company not a construction company DO NOT USE
They will try to finance your projects and lie about the rate charge yr interest is they don't care if your disabled everyone is fair game worst people ever they also tell there subcontractors to lie to you and say they're employees of J&R

JR Putnam surely has saved lives. When moving into a 1950-era home, few occupants would call for a professional to check the carbon-dioxide level that their heater emits; however, JR Putnam techs had advised us of their startling measurements when we began to occupy our home 11 years ago. Consequently, we are pleased with the new AC and hot-water heater that they installed--during the coldest of Winter, their work surely prolonged our lives. They climbed onto our roof even during rain so as to honor their commitment regarding the safety of their customers. Their monthly club fees also have offered relief during unexpected emergencies. They've essential experience with the complying with city codes, and with the practice of communication with City Planners and other officials. We are truly grateful that we responded to their ads. As a favorable impression that continues to highlight the integrity and competency of JR Putnam, their tech this morning commendably directed his attention strictly to an effectively planned repair of our cast-iron toilet flange. This recent JR Putnam tech used a hammer drill and saved us the $2000 expense that other plumbers typically charge to pre-maturely jack-hammer away an old and install a new cast iron flange.

Overpriced, and will lie to you to sell you entire HVAC system. So called ""Comfort Advisor"" showed me pictures of a damaged heater unit saying it was mine and I needed new one. Pictures he showed me was not my unit at all, total fraud and he got caught. And do not go with their service plans because you'll be lucky if they ever show up twice a year. We are in July already and no one even bothered to come over this year yet. But surely they will charge you the monthly fee on time.

Beware! Read their reviews this seems to be a serious problem for this company!
Sunday morning I noticed water coming up from the ground around a walkway outside my house. I started to dig next to the walkway and noticed the water was coming from under the cement. I called JR Putman that Sunday morning to see about getting someone out to repair the leak. They informed me that they didn't have anyone available on Sunday, but someone would contact me Monday at 8 AM to schedule the repair. By 8:30 no one had called so my wife called them and was told a plumber would be out around 11. Finally at 12:30 the plumber arrived. He took over an hour and multiple calls to me at work to figure out it was the main water line to the house that was leaking. Instead of fixing the problem he gave us a quote and said they would be back on Wednesday to fix it, at this time we paid a $55 deposit. Here it is Wednesday and no one showed up, so my wife called and was told they were not coming out today, they would be out tomorrow. We explained that this is an active leak in the main water line, during a drought, and that we have been waiting several days to get it fixed! We were then told that someone would be out today. Then they called back later to cancel and said the manager told them to tell us they would not be out until Thursday. Mean while the water is still leaking!!
This seems to be a problem with this company, if you read through their reviews many people talk about them cancelling and not showing up when they say. I don't think I will ever use them again.

Finally after 14 straight days of no A/C after the Unit completely breaking down, three seperate 5 hour appointments which the technicians could not find the problem and each time found more problems, being cussed out and verbally assaulted by the President of the Ranch Cordova store Jeff W. because I called on behalf of my 72 year old Mother (who is the one who purchased the A/C Unit two years ago for her home and is the customer on the contract) because she was upset that the majority of her multiple calls and emails were not being returned by Jeff W. and employee Ashley. When my Mother called and asked for Jeff W. this morning, she was told that he was on the phone and would call her back when he gets off of the phone. Jeff W. never called her back. Another employee Ashley called her and said that he was not there today and she was ""out in the field today"" and that was the reason of the delay of the phone call returned to my Mother. Judge for yourself, this is why I called on behalf of my Mother with her request because of the absolutely terrible customer service and my Mother getting no direct answers to when the problem would be fixed as she had no A/C for 14 straight days in June/July.

After I posted a review out here for JR Putman on Yelp about the customer service my Mother and I received, Jeff W. called my Mother and threatened to take back the portable blower that was given to my Mother to keep her cool until they got around to fixing the unit (which had broken clips on the hose) and threatened to have their attorney send a cease and desist letter if I didn't remove my review on Yelp. Jeff W. threatening my Mother and responding to my review with false statements of fact and defemation of character, is in my opinion, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My Mother filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Jeff W. has twice responded accusing me of filing the complaint and not my Mother. He also said he has recordings of my Mother saying she didn't file the complaint. My Mother is a very mild mannered woman, which is why I stepped in for her with her request for me to do so because she was not getting answers. My Mother was never told the call was being recorded and regardless of what my Mother said, Jeff W. has no idea if she did or not. She told him through the BBB that she was the one who filed the complaint. Instead of addressing their actions and the situation, Jeff W. focused on accusing my Mother of lying and responded twice via the BBB that she didn't file the complaint and that I was the one who did.

They replaced the non-working Unit
with a new Unit, even though the warranty was expired, and Jeff W. sure reminded my Mother that he didn't have to service the Unit because it was out of warranty multiple times. The Unit was not cooling the upstairs of my Mother's home since she purchased the Unit two years ago. The temperature would never drop below 80 degrees during the summer months upstairs in her home even with the A/C on all day long. When my mother called a few weeks ago a technician came out and noticed there was a leak which had absolutely no coolant in it because the unit was not blowing cool air at that point. So, once again...the Unit was not working properly for a very long time.

My Mother was sitting in her home for two weeks with a thermostat that read 91 degrees and was threatened multiple times by Jeff W. These are FACTS and my opinion of those facts. Having my character attacked in writing with false claims, false accusations, and false statements of facts here on Yelp and the BBB by Jeff W. (The listed President of the Rancho Cordova Store) is unacceptable. In my opinion, if you are reading this...STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. If you don't believe me, just read the other reviews

We have used JR Putman in the past for our HVAC needs and have not had any issues. This go around I called as we needed to get a quote on a new AC/Heating system. I waited 7 days and dispatch never called so I called and then they said they were 2 weeks out on an appointment. I went round and round with the lady on the phone about waiting 7 days for a call that never came and now we had to wait another two weeks. She said let me see what I can do and put me on hold, she came back and said ok we can do next Monday. I said great as we need the quote so we can make a decision on a path forward. Monday morning rolls around and I guess there associate called in sick so they cancelled our appointment. Fast forward and we had our three quotes from various companies and JR Putman will not be getting our business

I was referred to JR Putnam by a neighbor who uses them for everything. I put an online inquiry for a AC tune up special at Mother's Day and then a quote for a water filtration system and upgraded air filter. Over a month later no response. I called and explained what happened and was told a ""supervisor"" would call me back. It's been another two weeks and nothing. I do not recommend this company, poor customer service.

BEWARE! JR Putnam is more interested in PROFITS OVER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had an appointment today with JR Putnam that I scheduled over a week ago. After receiving a text confirming today's visit, I just received a call saying today's appointment is canceled as they are only doing emergency calls and they are now all booked up in till the middle of the month. My appointment today was scheduled to clean the AC coils as they had iced over. JR Putnam was also the company that installed my AC unit a few years ago at a cost of over 14k. To prepare for today's visit I was told by JR Putnam to turn off my AC for a day so the ice could melt. Yesterday's and today's temp is in the high 90's. I explained to the person who called to cancel that I was unable it sleep last night as the temperature in my house was in the 80's AND, I am one of their ""preferred"" customer as I belong to their program where I pay $14.99 a month. I was still told there was nothing they could do, I had to wait until after the 15th for an appointment. Regardless of being a preferred customer and paying JR Putnam over 14k, they decided to cancel my appointment so that they can take ""emergency"" appointments that will no doubt net them more money than what they would have charged for cleaning my AC coils today.

DO NOT USE JR PUTMAN....I joined their club membership and have had my appointment cancelled/no show at least 4 times. If a better more expensive job comes up they cancel the jobs that are maintenance or not conveinent. They have you block out your entire day and then in the morning the day of your appointment, they let you know if it will be a morning 5 hour window or an afternoon 5 hour window. I confirmed the night prior and then ... the day of my appointment they call to let me know ... ""Unfortunately we will have to reschedule."" It does not matter if you take time off work or that you have rescheduled your entire day for them...Ashley (the manager) seems to think that it is okay to inconveinence the paying club member and that our time/jobs are not important. If this had happened one time...I would understand, but it is frequent.
