I wish, I had read the reviews on Yelp before I hired JR Putman. I trusted them but they took advantage of my trust.
Our home water had a funny odor. I reached out to JR Putman and they recommended to change my water heater out and put a new gas line for it. I went with their tankless water heater.
They scheduled me on a Tuesday so I took the day off for them to come by. After a few hours of waiting, no one showed up. I called and they told me that I misunderstood. The date of my appointment was on Wednesday. After telling them that they wrote on my estimate paper the appointment was on a Tuesday, their response was take it or leave it. After installation, I checked the price of the tankless water heater online $1500 and their initial estimate was $7700 for the job. After telling them about my finding, they came down on price to $6600.
2 months after installation, the new gas pipes installed outside are rusting. I am very concerned about the safety of my family as the pipes could eventually leak gas. I have left several messages and they are not returning my calls. It seems they have no sense of responsibility and ownership of their job. I feel cheated and very concerned about the safety of my family. All I want them to do is to re-inspect the pipes and rectify any mistakes.

I had an appointment for 10:00am this morning. It's currently 12:58pm and I'm still waiting for the technician to arrive. I don't appreciate my morning being wasted.

Thank you JR Putman for your excellent customer service and dedication to doing the job right. They replaced my air conditioner/heater and kept me well informed during the entire process. This is the second home improvement project they helped me with in an attempt to make my home more comfortable and energy efficient. Mark and his crew of Trey and Brian were very professional, respectful, and considerate of my property as well as, my neighbors. They also arrived on time and finished the job on schedule. Last but not least, they did a thorough walk thru and clean up including answers to my questions and concerns.

I just finished a complete re-do of our home heating and air conditioning system. We chose JR Putnam and we could not be happier with their service. Gabriel, Brad, Rene and the rest of the crew were professional and courteous. This was a four-day job and they left the house spotless after each workday. I heartedly recommend JR Putnam!

Oh my gosh. Last summer was miserable for me and my family. Our old AC was not cooling our 2-Story home at all. We wanted to get ready for this summer. We experienced 400+ energy bills.
JR Putman came out with a technician to take a look at what the issues were. They also sent out someone to give information on different systems.
We decided on a brand new system and zoning. Best decision EVER.
The install team was AMAZING. Very punctual, professional and above all respectful. They cleaned as they worked and took extra time vacuuming after every day worked, to make sure there were no dust or particles on the ground. (We have little kids)
They also let us know that our home wasn't up to code. We were missing smoke detectors in 3 rooms. They installed the detectors at no additional cost.
Rene was the lead on our job. He was so nice, and knowledgeable. My husband and I had several questions and he was very patient.
I just can't express what the piece of mind means. We no longer have to stress over the comfort of our home. We can rest assured that JR Putman will be there if we need anything. They GUARANTEE that they will be out in 24 hours if you have an issue. If they aren't they will cut you a 500 dollar check. So awesome. Highly recommend.

Hired them to put in a garbage disposal. They wouldn't give any information over the phone. Then when they were in my house they quoted a twice that was double what other companies charge. I would consider this company a modern day scamming company.

I had hired JR Pitman to do my solar and it was the worse mistake ever the protect has been going on for over a year and a month now. My yard is destroyed , my neighbors yard was also destroyed . The project can't pass inspection through SMUD so I have a eye soar of equipment on my house , a yard that was ripped up and never put back and on top of it a increased electric bill, JR Putman says that they will back there work, well they didn't , there excuse was we sub-contracted it and we paid the subcontractor so we are washing our hands .
So I had all new rock done in the front yard 5000 dollars worth of a species river bend rock and then they started the project and dug a trench from the front of my neighbors house threw my whole yard and too the front of my house 4 feet deep and never separated the rock pile from the dirt so when the project failed inspection the first time, they filled it and just piled everything in so my beautiful yard was ruined, then they mounted everything on the front of my house (an other. Eye sore), they will not do anything to fix it and the subcontracted solar company will not return phone calls or fix anything , so know there is a mess of a yard , my neighbors will not talk to me because of it, and I have all this eye sore , and my kids are embarrassed of the house and to bring friends over .

We have used JR Putman for heating and air with good results and we recently joined their ""club"" because for a small monthly fee you receive priority treatment and significant discounts. We called them for a plumbing problem last week and were very happy with Hosam and the work he did. He was knowledgeable, polite and efficient. He insisted on cleaning up after his work when I said I would do it. He also offered to replace an OLD faucet that another well reviewed company said they would only replace after repiping our entire house! Deanna and I the office staff are pleasant and accommodating and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the entire company.

I called to have my heating and A/C serviced (seasonal service - no problems). After the appointment, it was strongly suggested that I replace the entire unit because it was dangerous. The technician showed me pictures that he took with his phone and set me up with an appointment for a salesperson to come out. I contacted my home warranty company and they sent someone out. We were told the the unit appeared to be fine and if they could see the pictures that were taken. I called the company back, left a message with reception/scheduling asking for the technician to call me back (trying to obtain copies of the pictures taken). The initial technician never returned my call (assuming that he received the request for the return call). The lady that answered the phone did not sound very customer service oriented. Hummmm.

They may do an ok job with heating and air. I'm surprised their drivers haven't killed someone yet.
