ZERO STARS. This is one of THE worst companies we have ever encountered. Last winter, we had no heat for a month, while waiting for Johnson HVAC to repair our HVAC. They misdiagnosed the problem, then ordered the wrong part, then once the part arrived, there was a delay in assigning a technician to come out of here to install the part. Delay after delay after delay.

Now it's summer, and we have no air conditioning. Johnson HVAC initially diagnoses the problem as a motherboard issue. The part is estimated to arrive in 3 days by our home warranty company (American Home Shield - also one of THE worst companies we have ever encountered... but that's a separate review!). We did not know this shipping estimate. We did not hear anything back from Johnson HVAC for 2 weeks.

My husband finally calls Johnson HVAC one morning, ends up speaking to a technician, who informs him - oh, the part is already here! This surprises and angers us - because we had not heard from Johnson HVAC that the part had arrived to schedule a time for the technician to come. The technician said he would come later that day.

When I called the Johnson HVAC office to confirm the time the technician is coming, both Angela (dispatcher) and Alina (manager) said the earliest a technician could come is next week! This obviously conflicts with what the technician told my husband. When we called the number the technician called from, there is no answer. I call American Home Shield to try to get a clear answer given the contradictory information. Long story short, after a very confusing day, the technician shows up, despite the office having apparently no clue a technician was even coming!

The technician now tells us the condenser motor fan is the caput and the problem and that he has to run back out to their warehouse to get the part and assures us he will be back the next morning at 9am to complete the repair. Well... next day, the repair was not done.

At this point, we checked into a hotel! It was scorchingly hot, and with a young child and also being pregnant, the conditions in our house was unbearable! So from the hotel, I call American Home Shield to figure out what's going on with Johnson HVAC. I SPENT 3 HOURS ON THE PHONE. It was necessary to have the home warranty company on the line, since their calls are recorded, just so Johnson HVAC could not lie repeatedly about what's going on!

Specific lies I was told:
-Angela (dispatcher) said the reason the repair was not done was because the technician scheduled to go back out QUIT and they haven't heard from him and don't know what's going on. Later that same day, Alina (manager) told me that's not true, and that it's ""none of my business"" what happened to the technician, and actually he ""took a sick leave"". Um... okay? I don't care whether the guy quit or not - but fact is, Angela told me he quit, so why would I just make something like that up? But Alina felt the need to cover up what Angela told me, by essentially lying to me and/or accusing me of lying!

-Angela (dispatcher) told me at 8:30am when I called (WITH American Home Shield on the line) she had no info about what's going on (due to their technician quitting), but would call me AS SOON AS their senior technician and/or owner shows up in the office. She also said she'd have the senior technician call me within 5 min of arriving and that this issue would be their first priority to address. I was told morning, and the American Home Shield agent when she spoke to them independently, was assured definitely before noon.

Well, come 12:50pm, no call! So I call American Home Shield and have them do a 3-way call with Johnson HVAC again - and point out that Angela did not keep her word. And she gets SO mad at being called out for her dishonesty - all she does is say in this offended, self-righteous way that she is absolutely NOT a liar! So I ask her what she wants to call that behavior? Not keeping one's word? Being irresponsible? She does not apologize for not calling. She defends herself and says that ""the time just got away from me.""

Gee... thanks! I thought this was a business! Talking to her was like hearing Trump speak - no logic or sense or consistency whatsoever. And NO sense of responsibility for her own actions!

And guess what... today, it's July 4th, and our family is sitting around waiting for a technician to come. Initially scheduled between 10-3pm... NO ONE has showed up! We are looking at, possibly, another hotel stay!

We are also trying our best to find an emergency handyman to come to at least install a window A/C in the bedroom, so that the house is livable for myself and our son. Clearly, from not just my review, but all of these reviews, NO ONE would VOLUNTARILY choose to use this business; we were all FORCED by our home warranty! What a crappy home warranty company also! And if you are a tech - do not work for Johnson HVAC unless you want your reputation totally sullied by its horrible business practices!!

This is the worst contractor I have ever dealt with. Our furnace broke in mid January. There is a home warranty and they directed us to Johnson. Johnson has still not succeeded in correcting our issue nearly three months later. They have been to the house dozens of times. Most times they don't bother to bring the parts or the correct testing equipment. They literally brought the wrong furnace to the house. They destroyed our carpets and refused any responsibility. They damaged the walls. Many of their technicians are completely without expertise or certifications. They don't understand basic elements of hvac repair that one could learn in a few minutes on YouTube. Avoid them at all costs.

Johnson was the most unprofessional ""professional"" I ever met. I called him to replace a rotted toilet flange and he did not show up dressed to work. That is just the beginning! He put in an over sized flange which required 4"" piping. He added about 3' of 4"" piping then horizontally downsized it (against building code) to the rest of the 3"" piping in my home. This then caused a backup. I paid almost $700 for a real professional to come fix it. I gave Johnson a chance to reimburse me, he then lied to me and said he never replaced any pipe in my home. He also left a huge mess. The plastic shavings from sawing the pipe. He spilled an entire can of glue in my basement all over my water heater and washer. He cut open my sewage pipe and left for over an hour and let me whole house smell like methane and sewage. No one should ever hire him again and the home warranties that he contracts with need to drop him.

Do not use this company. If you are assigned them by American Home Shield, do not accept. Refuse service and ask for a different service company from the beginning. They took a week to respond to plumbing issues causing sewage in our basement, regardless of the fact that we have very young children in our home. When they arrived the immediately tried to charge us $280 to install a clean out (we already have at least 5 cleanouts). They said they would return the next day at 9:30. They didn't show up until after 12 (after we called). Then after all that they misdiagnosed the problem and never properly reported their findings to American Home Shield.

do not use, we contacted this company to repair a rental property ac unit. the tech decided to fix the issue he should wrap the pipes-$900 and took a register with him to replace it? that was 4 weeks ago, the register is still not returned and for the ac unit, it needed coolant, another company $119 and is working fine. i did question the company about the billing and process but as to date i have not received a response.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We were assigned this company through our home warranty. They took a week to make a call and was over 3 hours late to arrive, with no call from the agency. We called several times to speak to the tech. Upon arrival he was rushing and put a band-aid on the problem. His ""fix"" lasted for 3 days. We attempted to get another appointment and it was over a week to schedule, which was unacceptable. He stated our Freon was low, but no reason why or that we had a leak. The company then returned the claim to the home warranty. They are an incompetent, unprofessional company. I would not recommend to even my enemy.

Homeshield needs to drop this company. This company does not employ competent workers. They've been at my house 5 times in the past month and a half and furnace is still not fixed. they had to borrow tools and evidently dont carry anything in their vans. Leave parts laying around..still waiting a week later for their 6th visit. Pathetic

I had a problem with my water heater/furnace. Cam came out on a Friday at 8pm, diagnosed the problem, & the company called the home warranty company on my behalf. The office staff & repairmen were polite, friendly, & upfront about time & cost. Wonderful experience!

I am currently very unhappy with JOHNSON HVAC LLC. My warranty company, American Home Shield, sent them to fix a toilet. The plumber made the repairs but then flushed the toilet with a large amount of paper in it and flooded the second floor bathroom, damaging my second floor carpeting outside of the master bedroom and then caused water to leak from the 2nd floor to the main floor through the ceiling. The supervisor came out to see the damage and promised JOHNSON HVAC LLC would send a drywall person to fix the damage the following Saturday. I waited all day Saturday and no showed. I called the supervisor and he said the drywall repairer would likely come the next day on Sunday. Again, no one showed up. I called during the week asking for someone to call me. No one returned the call. I have called their emergency line, no one answers and the voice mail line if full. I'm not happy but will take this complaint down if they make good on correcting the damage they caused. Be careful with this particular company at this point.

These guys are a scam, my home warranty sent them to my house and tried to claim that the issue was due to insalltion which would not be covered under warranty After contacting another company, the issue was a lower exchange unit leaking and nothing to do with installation. These guys are a joke
