Had such a nice experience. We had three different issues. Juan, the plumber, was very patient to explain the options and let us know the things that needed quick attention and one that could wait. He also gave us tips that we can do on our own to prevent future leaks. Great service and we will call them for future plumbing problems.

Got Ricardo of John's Valley Plumbing thru Fidelity Home Protection to correct the very bad job done on my toilet by United Plumbing. He was on time, He waited in the heat through about 10 minutes of hold for authorization, dealt with a snippy clerk, Tamika (that's another review that will happen) and installed the proper handle (yes he had it on the truck) in minutes. I was EXTREMELY pleased!

I have worked with JVP three times through my home warranty. They are not the most presentable plumbers but they have done what I would consider very good work. We have had a positive experience and whenever we have a plumbing issue I always ask for JVP to come when I contact my home warranty. I would recommend them.

Came to my house, and charged $65 for inspection, and lied about about the job that need to be done. I wouldn't trust them to walk into my house again, even if it will be for free. My attorney is dealing with them.

Johns Valley Plumbing showed up at my house in Woodland Hills as a result of a call to Fidelity National Home Warranty. Their two ""plumbers"" were called to help with two slow draining sinks with an accompanying bad odor, a slow draining bathtub, and a leaking toilet. After replacing a part in the toilet (and leaving a mess, including the old parts laying around), I was told that they would snake the bathtub and sinks, but that ""It may not fix the problem"". I explained that we needed it fixed, and they should just tell me what needed to be done - for things not covered by the warranty, I would be willing to pay.
30 minutes later, I was told that it couldn't be fixed, that there was nothing they could do for me, and that they had to leave for another job. At this point, both sinks were not draining AT ALL, and were filled with standing water. The bathtub was also not draining, and the vent cover had been torn off and left sitting in the tub. I explained that they had made my situation seriously worse, and that it needed to be fixed. They said no, and left. Calls to the main office went unanswered, and I sit writing this while I pay an ACTUAL plumber overtime to fix it obviously critical issues on a Saturday.
STAY AWAY.

Having used John's Valley Plumbing before and pleased with the results, I called them again expecting Jim to show up. When I opened the door there stood two men looking like homeless people. When I let them in the house, they gave credence to the commercial that talks about ""smelly"" plumbers. These guys reeked from a combination of stale smoke and other unpleasant odors. What happened to Jim?
Calling to apprise the office of my experience, I was berated by the staff: how dare I refer to them as looking like homeless people and call their hygiene into question!! Imagine that. You call to tell a company about your experience and that's how you're treated.
Something's happened to John's Valley Plumbing and it isn't good. One thing is for certain: I'll never use them again and caution others to seek their plumbing needs elsewhere.

Jim was first sent to our house by our home protection plan around 1995. Since then, we have dumped the plan (which went downhill) but 19 years later Jim is still our plumber. Always honest, not out to make an unfair buck, does his work well and cleans up after. Have referred him to a number of friends over the years and all the feedback is the same.

Came to our house via our home warranty to look at a bathroom pipe that busted. (we had to shut off the main water line and had NO water). They left our house, without fixing anything, at 1:15PM and by 3:30PM had still not submitted the paperwork to the home warranty company for review. (no repairs can be made until the home warranty company approves them)
When I asked why they had not submitted the paperwork for review they sadi they were busy on another job and would TRY to get it to them between 5PM. -7PM. (Keep in mind we had NO water and they had lleft our house at 1:15PM)
Turns out they never submitted any paperwork to our home warranty company and instead only submitted photos and informed the warranty company that they did not want to do the repairs.
If the plumber knew at 1:15PM on Thursday that the job was more than he could handle why did he wait until almost 7PM that night to contact the home warranty company?
We are now still without water and have to wait for a new plumbing company to come over to start the process all over again.

I have had Jim from JVP come to my house twice under my home protection policy. He is a nice guy, on time, and helpful to the homeowner. He is straightforward and not out to rip anyone off. I have recommended him to others and I recommend him to my fellow Yelpers.

Johns Valley Plumbing is by far the most honest plumber I have ever worked with. They are always on time and have the items on hand to repair or replace whatever is necessary. I'm so appreciative that I have them to call knowing that the job is going to get done right!
