John the Plumber
Company Overview
John the Plumber is a family-owned company with over 100 years of combined expertise. Our purpose is to deliver support that exceeds your needs. We would be honored if you allowed our team to assist your household.
Our craft history goes back to the early 1900s in New Jersey, where our forebear first learned the trade. He established Krobatsch Plumbing and Heating in the mid-1940s, which is where our parent John continued the business. Our family fell in love with South Florida and vacationed in the Pompano Beach area annually. During one of their journeys, they came across a property on a property they couldn't pass up. In an instant, they listed our home in New Jersey and transferred to our parents' beloved vacation destination.
John the Plumber was established in Pompano Beach in 1979 as a single-person venture. Our parent, John, had no big dreams; he simply wanted to provide excellent assistance to his clients. His goal of living in South Florida had come true, allowing him to build a strong foundation and business. Sadly, our parent passed away from cancer in 1987 at the age of 53.
At that moment, his children, John and David, purchased the company from our parent. Both John and David had extensive plumbing background before acquiring the company; plumbing was practically their only profession since they were able to work. John had started his own business, and David was the supervisor of a large local plumbing firm at the time of our parent's passing. Rather than letting the legacy our dad had built over the years diminish, they decided to become collaborators. They drove together in the only truck the company owned until they gathered enough funds to buy an additional truck and supplies. John and David ran the company out of our parent's residence until 1999 when the company needed additional room to expand. At that time, the third son, Michael, joined the company as a full-time employee. Michael also had extensive plumbing experience, having worked with John and David since he was a child and while going to college.

I was able to get an appointment the same day I called in. They came in and got the job done. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely use them again: Thank you !

These guys were amazing. They were the only company who would give me a quote on a new gas water heater over the phone (they simply had me text them pictures of the old one). A few other companies (you know who you are!) wanted to charge me at least $60 to come out to look and estimate. I'm spending thousands of dollars....no thanks on me having to pay to decline your estimate. Not only that, but I couldn't even get an appointment for 4-5 days out. I have a wife and small child at home, and carrying boiling water up the stairs for bath time was a bit dangerous, so I really needed service faster than that (and surprisingly, spending $2k had no priority with them). John the Plumber not only gave me a fair estimate, but they came out the next day to install. To make matters better, they sent 2 men to get the job done faster, and one of them was the company owner. Talk about hands-on service! They came first thing in the morning, and knocked it out in 2 hours. I'll be using these guys over big box plumbers from now on.

As a new homeowner I was pretty stressed out when I realized one of my main lines was clogged and I would need to call a plumber...so I looked on yelp and found John the Plumber. I called around noon on a Friday and there was no answer, but I left a message and got a call back within ten minutes. The woman on the phone told me they had a truck in my area and that she would contact them and get back to me, which she did in a very timely manner and explained that they were on there way to an emergency job but would be at my house between 3 and 3:30. I appreciated such a small window, but honestly, I didn't believe it, I kind of figured I would be waiting until 4:30 or 5, but just before three I got a call from Mike (I'm pretty sure that was his name) that he was on his way over and arrived just after three. He got right to work and pulled a bunch of twigs and branches out of the sewer line. He then measured the length of the line he had needed. At this point I had no real idea what he was doing, but he then informed me that based on the length of the line he used the clog had originated in the city's sewer line and not on my property, and even made a note for me to provide to the city when I call to report the problem. The job cost less than $200 so I was relieved that this wasn't a big expense, though I didn't really shop around so I can't comment whether or not their prices are the best. I will note however, that even if I were to find out the price were slightly higher than other plumbers I would still use John the Plumber in the future because of their communication and promptness. Nothing is worse than waiting by the phone or around the house for a repair man to show up, but John the Plumber was very clear and accurate with their timeline for my service call.

Our toilet would not drain. I was out of town, my wife called this company. The plumber did more damage than fixing the drainage issue. Not only did the plumber not fix the issue, he damaged our bathroom walls and my driveway with whatever mammoth of a snake he was using. 1 captured this on video. I called for the opportunity of being refunded as I have fixed the issues and damage. The refund was denied. 1 highly recommend looking for another plumbing company. Reply to comment below: Please understand as we have already had a bad experience with your company causing damage, and we concluded our decision. It is not mandatory to give you another chance after your first mistakes and damage. Reading your response shows how you are still minimizing the damage to the area where your plumber worked. The statement of 50% refund is also false. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A PLUMBER

I have used this company in the past with success but my recent experience was terrible. Stay away from this company. They just want to run up a bill but don't fix anything. They only Want to flush your toilet and say they can't recreate the problem, without actually doing anything to justify a big bill. Lazy, unfriendly workers

Once again they were great. Always one time, efficient, neat, friendly and complete work perfectly. Very fair and honest. They will be my go to plumber.

A pipe underneath our bathroom faucet was leaking and this company sent plumber out the same day and replaced leaking parts efficiently. A little pricey but very happy with service.

Best experience we have ever had with a plumber! We will definitely use this company again and we will recommend them to friends and neighbors. Service was prompt. Mike was incredibly friendly, informative, and clean. The service was also priced better than other plumbers we've had in the past.

Don't waste your time and money on anyone else. We've used this family for all our plumbing installations and problems for 15 + years now. Always on time, always professional, always knowledgeable and fair, most importantly HONEST! Great group of people with great work ethic, the three brothers are hands on and know plumbing, they have employees that exemplify their own ethics. Years ago they replaced all of our cast iron pipes digging two tunnels under our home. Big job, we did not shop around we know and trust they'll do the best job for a fair price and no regrets! Nicest people who do it right the first time. Call them!

My plumber I have worked with for over 10 years could not fit me in for a garbage disposal emergency. I had hear about John the Plumber for years and am THRILLED I called them. Arriving the next day and providing fast, prompt, professional service. They gladly completed to other small requests (changing a shower arm/head and tub spout with integrated diverter). Completed the work quickly and with ease. I will be scheduling them for more upcoming work!
