A rude and apathetic business. After several calls for emergency plumbing services (leaving messages), staff handling the call said, ""You're not on the schedule yet, and we'll get back with you."" I said that I have an emergency repair that needs to be addressed. In a rude tone, I got... ""We are very busy... You will have to wait until sometime next week!"" No... I need to find a plumber that offers service. Bye John the Plumber!

If I could give more than five stars I would. John and his staff have done many jobs for us over many years. Sink installations, swamp cooler repairs and just this week taking care of roots blocking the drains. These guys are great. Always prompt, always friendly and always at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

Based on Yelp reviews I called John the Plumber and I'm sorry I did. We recently moved into the Tehachapi area and our property uses a septic system. I'm not familiar with this and had no idea why waste water was coming out of the ""clean out"" in the back yard. He said to not do more than one load of laundry a day as we were probably putting too much water down the drains. Well waste water kept coming out no matter what we did and I finally asked him to stop by a few months later. He looked at it and said the leech field was probably the problem and to check into that. I had no idea where the septic tank was and assumed it was under the clean out, using my backhoe I attempted to located the septic and of course damaged the sewer lines. Repaired the damage and again no matter what waste water would come out the clean out. The actual problem was a blockage in the sewer line near the septic tank, the ""clean out"" is there to prevent waste water from backing up into the home. It took 4 different ""professionals"" stopping by before the problem was fixed. I cannot believe how such a simple problem was so difficult to figure out. If the waste water can't get into the septic tank it will back up and come out the clean out, now I know.

I have a rental house in Golden Hills, but I live in Thousand Oaks. John came recommended by my niece who sells real estate in Tehachapi. I was having septic issues. John doesn't do the septic work I needed (He does certifications), But he went to my property to get eyes on what my problem was. He spent his time calling and texting me to let me know the issues I was facing. John and Meg were both super helpful. I know they didn't make money off of me this time, but for my future plumbing needs, I wouldn't call anyone else in Tehachapi other than ""John the Plumber"".
