WORST Company EVER. John Moore put A/C unit in my house 2014. I started having issues with leaking. I had a professional plumber and A/C men out and they both said John Moore did NOT install the unit right. I called John Moore to give them the benefit of the doubt. The man they sent of course, said John Moore did NOTHGING wrong but he could fix it for $8,000. and he said he could give me a break and do it for $5000. Now the commercials say they stand behind their work. How is that acceptable to consumers when in reality they use that as a selling term, but does NOT actually exist. I will NEVER use John Moore and will tell EVERYONE I know NOT to EVER use John Moore.

I too will start out by saying if I could give zero stars I would. John Moore has HORRIBLE customer service and workmanship! They lie to you about what is wrong and inflat the prices to get more. They lie to you about what services they are going to provide, then when you complain about not getting what was promised they are rude and arrogant.
They told me I had roof rats when it was a squirrel. They said it was roof rats so they could get "moore" money for the service and have a way to charge you after. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF ROOF RATS. However, when they closed entry points the angry squirrel wanted back in--they set bait traps (that, by the way, is against the law for squirrels) and now they want me to pay a quarterly charge for them to check the traps. If I cancel --when there were never any rats in the first place--they will not warranty for the squirrels.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS--OR YOU'LL REGRET IT!!!

I just needed a simple y valve installed and john Moore sait it would cost 800+ to install. I had maintenance do it for 8 bucks and change. What a a joke they are! Do not hire these people!

John Moore employee came to the house to give me a quote. He ended up spending most of his time at my house lecturing me about finances. Three days later and we still have not received a quote.

Highly recommend John Moore for your A/C needs. Pete (our tech) epitomizes excellent customer service and was relentless in ensuring we were completely satisfied with their work. Our A/C problem was quite complex but he and Al were fully committed to finding a fit-for-purpose solution. Both were very professional throughout and even brought along the Honeywell Representative (Jay) to help address the issue.

Stay far away from this company. They are a rip off, taking advantage of elderly people on a fixed income, and only want your money. They don't have any customer service.
My in-laws called John Moore because their AC wasn't cooling. The technician came out, he didn't even check to see if the unit was low on freon or leaking. He saw they lived in a mobile home and were elderly. So, he told them that they needed a new unit, which would cost $10k. Their unit was only 8 years old and was still working, just not cooling. They freaked out because they didn't have the money for a new unit. So, my husband called another company to come out and check the unit. As soon as the second company came out, the technician noticed that the drain wasn't dripping like it should, so he checked the unit and all it needed was 1 lb of freon. He added the freon, cleaned the drain as best he could, and told them to clean out the drain with a shop vac, and then clean the drain with clorox once a month and the unit should be fine. They were happy that they didn't have to purchase a new unit. The technician told them it should last at least 8-10 more years before it needs to be replaced, as long as they clean the drain and do the yearly check ups. They agreed to do this.
John Moore is a joke when it comes to fixing or repairing anything. They used to be a good customer service company, but not any more. Don't call this company for any repair. There are many small business in Houston that have good service and can solve a problem without costing an arm and leg. Do your research and ask friends for referrals when needing repairs.

If I can give zero stars I would. Dayeshon is a "customer care" representative who works for John Moore. I am extremely disappointed in the care we have received from them. John Moore's company was working with my mom in receiving a refund and this has been delayed weeks on weeks on weeks. If you're going to call my hardworking mother INSANE. Please at least remove all the recipients in the email. This little girl Dayeshon accidentally emailed everyone including my mother who is verbally degrading her.

I called John Moore for my summer AC tune up and technician said I was low on freon/refrigerant(1/3 full) and there was a possible leak. He looked at my j'4inside system and said he saw no leaks so it was probably really small or the system was not charged with freon appropriately. He said it would cost me $399 to recharge it and I figured I would think about it. I called my home warranty company and they sent someone out who said NOTHING was wrong with the system. My system was FULL AND DIDN'T need freon. This is soo UNETHICAL! He would have charged me $399 and done DONE NOTHING because he can't add freon to a system that was full.

Not recommending this company at all . We are charge for $69 for a maintenance check as agreed apparently- the tech told me and my husband that we had to pay additional $199 in order to diagnosed what went wrong . And oh .. this had not been discussed during our phone conversation during the scheduling ... and so we said just do check and tell us what's wrong . But the guy said .. he just called his boss and his boss said if we are not going to pay additional $199 on top of $69 .. they are not going to do the check at all or do anything .. and we said fine ..so Tech left ...
Not a good customer service at all .

We have used John Moore for over 20 years and they have always been good. Over the years they just get better and better. We first used them for Air Conditioning and then as different things came up John Moore became our go-to company. Honest, professional, polite and they have always stood behind their work. We love them!
