Mark P.Had a crack in a pipe under the house back in July 2014. Roots were growing in the pipe and causing backups. John Moore came out, ran a camera and flushed the line which didn't help my problem. That was $360. Then they quoted me $6700 to tunnel under my house to fix the pipe. That was the "Better" option. There was no "Best" and the "Good" was the clearing out of the water line. Two John Moore guys told me that was the only option and wanted me to make a decision right then. Pushy!
Ending up doing more research and getting the job done by Gap Plumbing for only $1500. Gap Plumbing went thru the foundation in my laundry room and got to the cracked pipe quick and easily. Really disappointed I was never given this option thru John Moore. That should have been the "Best" option.
Leah E.Do I even have to leave a star for a rating? John Moore has a technician named William Brooks that came to my rental property when it was not heating the downstairs portion of the home. Mr. Brooks told me that my entire system needed to be replaced, that the furnace was shot, there was no point in changing the wires on the furnace, and that I should also just buy a new AC unit. He gave me a quote for $5k for a furnace and $9k for an entire new furnace and AC unit. He went as far as to touch the wires in front of me and say "look how loose these are, changing them will only last you 3 days if even that". I had another company come out for an estimate and the technician said that they could not find anything wrong with my furnace. He did a diagnostic test and found that the filters were so clogged with dust that they were forcing hot air back into the furnace which enabled its full function. John Moore allows its employees to steal from innocent customers. They don't care what kind of bind they place people in by lying. Mr. Brooks even asked me what I did for a living, that's none of his business. DO NOT USE John Moore. I used Weber's AC/Heating this company was excellent and I will continue to give them my business.
The score would have been lower but the plumbers were good. It was the team that came out to repair the walls that were a joke. Never knew what time they would show (were promised between 8 and 9), never new how many would show(was promised 2). Even after speaking with their suprvisor Mark on several occasions the problems still continued. Mark even went as far as to say that we were just to difficult. When they finished they just went to their trucks and got ready to leave. Said nothing to us. Wall texture was left all over curtains, baseboards,cabinets,comforter,and shower.
Let them do your plumbing but nothing else. Regret calling them.
I have had the worst experience ever calling John Moore to help me with my heater when it wouldn't start. They couldn't fix it so a new one had to be installed. It has now been 3 weeks and I have called no less than 20 times in that time period to try to get somebody to answer me or tell me when the job was completed. Nobody was accountable and no body was in a supervisory position. I got different answers every time I called and had to even keep calling to get them to schedule completion. I have no confidence in their warranty work now, nor their service of my new equipment.
Super mad!!!!! Made a reservation to get the heater checked first they told me it would take a wk...today they we're suppose to come check the heater then 10 minutes b4 they were scheduled to come they call and say we overbooked and can't come out till next wk!!!! R U FUCKING SERIOUS!!!!!! So what me and my 78 and 75 yr old grandparents r suppose to freeze. Yeah it's 38* outside!!! FUCK U
So they take the booking, charge you a call out fee and then don't turn up. 2 weeks later and I'm still trying to get that fee back from them.
Had original appt with them, they instantly charged $49 over the phone for the appt. Schedule was for a Friday from 2-6 PM for showup. One week later, no show up, no call, but still a $49 charge. Called their number and offered refund or reschedule.
I needed my AC fixed and John Moore sent out a Salesman. He spouted all kinds of discounts trying to make me buy everything I didn't need. He didn't even tell me what was wrong with my AC.
Terri C.After one year John moore service was to come today between 12 & 4 to service my AC I'm thinking its part of my service agreement. We made the appointment & I took off from work. The JM service tech never showed never even called. I not only lost a day of work , I lost $200 pay. I am so done with John Moore. This is not the first time I had a run in with this company. I think it will be my last.

I'm very modest about being "handy".
I've been an PROFESSIONAL electrician for 35 years. A licensed master electrician for 20+ years. Also being in the "trades", I know plumbers, A/C guys, etc. I've been there, done that residential thing. How dare you rip homeowners off!!!
I was out of town, the A/C unit stopped working. I told the wife to call you first, unfortunately! (I then had to call in a favor to an A/C buddy to go over and fix it)
That $850 was your "good"/ cheapest price. What a bunch of BS about parts! If you have a bad spark plug in your car, you're going to change the engine???
Shame on you!!
