We called Manning's to build raiser to our septic tack which did not have them as the previous owners didn't bother building. So they came and told us that our Celtic tank shouldn't have been certified by rotorooter because of a problem. Roto rooter drained the tank and certified the tank for sale and within two months the tank was full again as it wasn't draining properly. JMP came and fixed the problem which I'm hopping it won't persist.

I hired John Manning to install a new leach field and to abandon the existing septic tank. He charged over $21,000 and left the project halfway. It took him 4 months just to trench the leach field meanwhile his wife kept asking for more money every week. Once they collected over $21,000 they abandoned the job and took the money. My experience with this company was a complete nightmare. They have several city and CSLB complaints, if you are a victim report him to the state licensing board, individuals with his business practices need to be reported to the authorities.

John Maning is incredibly arrogant, this is a known fact in the area where he operates. He came to my home for a bid on septic work and proceeded to take a very arrogant tone along with some strange facial expressions.

I thought I'd give him a chance and ask him to submit a bid along with other contractors. After a week of not hearing from him I messaged him and kindly asked that he submit his bid so I could consider him for the job.

His wife responded by saying we don't know what we are getting into. They seem very defensive. It is normal and recommended practice for you to get multiple bids on your work, they seemed offended by it. I responded that I meant no offense and never heard back. They are unprofessional.

If you search for the reviews marked as ""useful"" on yelp, you'll see they all say they are incredibly rude.

You can read the rest of the reviews and notice that the attitude problem makes John and Sherly a pain to work with. If you want to be treated with respect, stay away!

Terrible service. Left me without a working sink in my master bathroom and never solved the issue with the kitchen sink. Charged us a fortune for the privilege too. Technician wasn't helpful either. Beware!!!

I got the feeling that since I did not use their services back in 2018, for the price they quoted, because I could not afford it back then, that they refuse to send someone out this time. Claiming all technicians are on vacation the full week. That's not a normal business practice. I would have utilized their services and paid for it because I can this time. Disappointed with the curt response.

This company is ridiculous. They take your money, then leave you without service. I wish I had never contacted this company. What a bunch of scammers. They are the nightmare contractors you hear about that take your money and never return to finish. BEWARE!

They were able to set up an appointment for us the very next day and arrived on time. We had a lot of work that needed to be done and Josh and Jason got everything taken care of the same day as the estimate. Josh and Jason are very easy to communicate with and explained what our plumbing issues were and what needed to be done. Definitely recommend and will call if we have any other plumbing problems.

I called Wednesday, Sept 23rd and spoke to the receptionist for an appointment which was booked for Friday Sept 25th between 10-12. Well, Friday came and went without the plumber calling or showing up for the appointment. Horrible horrible customer service. When I called to complain, rather then trying to get someone out ASAP, they tried to set an appointment for Monday. No water and they wanted me to wait through the weekend. DO NOT book with John Manning plumbing
