We had a problem with no hot water in one of our showers, and had already had a different plumber look at it with no result. Today was the day I decided I was going to get it fixed. Although it was a Saturday, I called John Castro Plumbing, thinking I would just get an answering machine. To my surprise, Chris Castro picked up the phone, and with a cheerful and helpful attitude to boot! He asked me a few questions, had me check the panel readings on our Rinnai tankless water heater, increase the temperature on the control panel, then test the water in the sink nearby, and narrowed it down to needing an adjustment on the limiter of the shower valve, and even walked me through how to take off the valve and do the adjustment! All of this over the phone and without asking for any fee, and with the honest intent to help. It felt like I was back in time to when service people were really there for you. We now have hot water, and I feel blessed to have called this business, which will be my ""go to"" plumber from now on!

My rannai tankless water heater was't giving me hot enough water, I was instructed how to increase temp. When the shower was still not hot enough I was instructed on how to remove safety device to raise temp. I can finally enjoy a nice hot shower! Very helpful and courteous, couldn't recommend more.

The most important thing I look for in a service provider is integrity. Is their priority the well-being of the client or is to make money off the client. Chris Castro is off the charts when it comes to putting the client first.

I called because our tankless water heater was not working. Chris was super busy but took the time to troubleshoot over the phone. Instead of scheduling a future service call (with minimum charge), he actually gave me some pointers right over the phone and sent me a video with a simple fix to what he thought was the issue.

Result #1 = we got hot water within 15 minutes and saved several hours and at least a few hundred dollars (the amount that other service providers were quoting just to come take a look).

Result #2 = we are now a John Castro Plumbing customer for life and will be calling Chris whenever we have a plumbing need big or small. They might not have made anything this time, but they are sure to get lots of business from us over the next decades.
