We were having some noise come from the pipes in our home when we ran the shower. I called John C. Flood and to my surprise I was given an appointment that same day, however requested one for a few days later and got it. I was given a time frame of 8am-12pm. I was also informed that I would get a courtesy call the day of and an email with the picture and name of the plumber that would be coming out. Both of those were true (although the email came after the plumber was gone, but no biggie).
James B came a little before 9am and was very pleasant, when he entered our home he put shoe covers on which I appreciated. He got right to fixing our problem. He was very knowledgeable and informed us that our water pressure was probably low and that caused air to collect in the pipes which caused the noise and that the valve may need to be replaced if fixing the water pressure didn't solve the problem. He fixed it in minutes!!
He also offered advice on how to care for our newly installed hot water heater.
When he was finished he even asked us was it anything else we would like him to check. He was very efficient and professional! We have not had any more problems with the noise from the pipes. Thanks James B!!!

I scheduled an electrician for Monday, 11/19 to look at an exterior GFCI and a light sensor on a lamp post. I received a text at 11:11 a.m. that he was on his way, just as he was knocking on the front door. Andy was a great guy.
He removed the GFCI that I had installed incorrectly, switched 2 wires, and put it back ($81). He removed the bad light sensor and said it would cost $350 to replace it. I questioned the cost and he said, ""I don't have any control over the pricing."" He went to the truck, got the $15 part and replaced it. I also paid $195 for their 'Gold Service Plan. I got the invoice email at 11:55. FORTY minutes total. The more I thought about the $350, the more it bothered me.
I called the office first thing Tuesday morning and explained my concerns. I was told that someone would call me back shortly. Nothing. I called again Wednesday morning, spoke to someone different and was told again that someone would call me back shortly. Nope!
Wednesday afternoon I sent an email, again sharing my concerns over the pricing and saying that I wanted to cancel my 'Gold Service Plan'. Wednesday afternoon I got a call from Shane (who never identified what his position was) who was obviously not happy with my email. It wasn't a pleasant conversation as he told me to check with any other company and I would see that the $389 charge was fair. I did check and, sorry Shane, but you charge was the highest!
I called the office again this morning (11/23) and went through the whole story again. Finally, I got a call back from Pat (a manger) who agreed to remove the $81 charge but refused to adjust the $350.
We both are realtors and will never recommend this company to any client or colleague!

Called this company for a slow faucet drip from a tub faucet. Technician charged me for a repair that was not done. When I asked why the charge of $147 versus $99 for the assessment, he told me it was because he disassembled the part to determine where the leak was coming from. After he left, I saw that he cut into my wall without my permission. He told me that for the company to fix the leak, it would be 1600 dollars. Then he asked me to sign 3 times on a tablet that had no information on it. I asked him what I was signing for and he told me for the assessment and estimate...he said all information will be emailed to me. Later, when I reviewed the email, the invoice indicated that a repair was done and there was no mention of the 1600 dollar repair that he stated would be required. I still have a leak and i was charged more than the assessment fee.

Do not recommend. The repairman provided me with a quote, and I asked to see the breakdown of costs. I said I was not wanting to be difficult, but the quote provided ($800 for garbage disposal replacement and labor) seemed high. He then told me that I was being difficult. I was surprised to hear this -- I asked very kindly and I am entitled to know the breakdown of costs -- and asked why he thought this. He followed by mumbling under his breath and then telling me that ""I would never find installation for a better price -- that I was crazy."" I let him proceed with the installation. I should not have. I continued to do my research and found that $800 is a definite overcharge.

I do not recommend. There is nothing worse than a company that does not build its reputation on trust and interaction with clients. I welcome John Flood to reach out to me and show competitor bids that clock in at the same price. If proven and if a proper explanation for their repairman's attitude is given, I will revise this review.

On October 26, 2018 John C. Flood came out and fixed an issue and now on my HVAC isn't heating again. I called JCF this morning and told them the issue and I was told that (1) I would have to pay the diagnostic fee again and (2) a technician couldn't come out until Tuesday. I will NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN EVER!!!! There is no reason my system have issues two weeks after I paid almost $200 for JCF to fix the problem.

The customer service representative was HORRIBLE and didn't solve the problem at all. From an excellent rating to 1 start JCF thanks for terrible work. I would give it a zero rating but I have to choose a star. It's 30 degrees outside and the rep tells me the first time that a technician can come out is Tuesday. Better customer service would have been for JCF to send someone out right away. I don't mind paying if it's a different problem but I do mind paying if it's the same issue.
NEVER AGAIN JCF you have lost my business. I wouldn't dare purchase a maintenance plan if this is the type of customer service you offer.

John C Flood has the worst customer service I have ever experienced when dealing with HVAC issues. The initial call was pleasant until I realized we paid 199.00 for absolutely nothing. We were told 199.00 would take care of the visit and any other visits we would need for 12 months. Plus 10% off anything purchased. A technician who wasnt the slightest bit personable named John was sent to my house. My husband and I were surprised after 3 minutes John said the cost to repair wasnt worth it. He told us to get a new unit and someone should contact us regarding a new unit. Days passed and no one contacted us. The weather is 70 to 80 degrees which means my house feels like 90 degrees We had to go out for lunch and dinner because of the unbearable heat. I called John C Flood and was told someone would contact us. Ok I am anxiously waiting for a call, thinking I am going to purchase a new unit with 10% off , good deal right? Finally today I get an email that says return the email for confirmation. It had a pdf file attached with the phone number 3012549008. The email is from John Steward. I was hesitant to open the pdf because of all of the telephone and computer scams going around. I did open and it was a contract from John C Flood. What kind of customer service is this. I guess they do not believe in giving a customer options or speaking with the customer before they give the customer a contract. Well , I called Crop Metcalf. I have an appointment with Crop Metcalf in 5 days. Do not use John C Flood. They will take your money and not properly inform the customer and the technician John gave us the impression he didnt want to work. I cant in good conscious give this horrible company, John C Flood any stars . Not even one. The system wont let me post without giving a star. . John C Flood deserves no stars not even one!

This is a parable of two A/C repair companies, where I explain why John C. Flood is a bad choice and why a competitor is way better.

A few months ago, I had Flood come out to do a routine check on the A/C unit of my house in Shaw. They told me all was well. Then, two weeks later, our A/C unit which had caused zero trouble for most of a decade suddenly developed a leak!

I told Flood about the leak (maybe there's a reason they're called 'Flood') and the response was a shrug and a denial of any responsibility. So I contacted another company (Frosty's) to assess the leak.

Frosty discovered a refrigerant leak in the pipes. It turned out to make the most economic sense to entirely replace the A/C. Frosty's did that replacement.

THEN, two weeks after THAT, the A/C developed another, much more serious leak! It was so bad that it warped the floorboards on half of our entry floor. Pretty much a disaster. However, the response by Frosty's shows why they're such a superior company.

Frosty's took complete responsibility for the leak. The owner reached out and said he would pay for the entire repair and replace all the damaged floorboards. His contractor ended up going beyond that -- sanding and revarnishing the entire floor so no patch work is now evident. The floor looks better than it did before.

Compare that with Flood, which ignored my request to be reimbursed for the $100 maintenance fee they'd charged. When I asked again, they stopped answering my emails.

Take home lesson: Stay away from Flood. Go with Frosty's.

I had a tech, James Edwards, come out here to repair AC. He could not come in the house because of my cats. He told me one of the cat did not like him and that he was allergic to them! Well, I tried to put them in my room but they would not. James refused to come in and complete his job as scheduled and he left! I'll never use this company ever again!

After complaining on every review site and emailing their customer service again, John C Flood rectified the issue by refunding us $200.

Flood never showed up for an emergency call.

Yesterday, I called at 9:30 in the morning because my kitchen sink had completely backed up and was spilling onto the floor; I was trying to get ready for my daughter's birthday party that night.

I was told that a plumber would be at my house between noon and 3:00. Starting at 3, I called fairly regularly to get a status on the plumbers arrival since I had guests arriving in several hours. I was told at 4:00 that the plumber was 45 minutes away. At 4:15, I received a text saying that the plumber was arriving. He never showed up. At 5:30 I canceled the call and had to come up with a quick ""plan B"" for my daughter's birthday party. I'll never call them again.
