We have been using John for approx. seven years, from when we first bought our house. He has redone the bathrooms, remodeled bedrooms, ran electrical, installed recessed lighting, hung fans and lights and we have always been happy with his quality work.

We made a mistake this year and hired someone else for a remodeling job (family) and they botched the project. We then ran to John and asked him to take the project over and save us. John being John, did so. For any project, you need to call John.

I would trust John with my daughters at a Motel 6. And it's not just because they can run faster. He does quality work, his costs are fair, communication good, and like Janice J. said, he will give attention to the job and help his customer, not just do the least amount possible.

We hired John to run power to and install 2 attic fans in a sweltering hot attic, add an outlet for a security camera, install 2 outlets on outside walls, add power to a Ring doorbell, add an outlet in our garage, re-route an ice maker water line, add an outlet in our kitchen, and shampoo our 2 dogs. Ok that last one no, but you get the idea.

Found John on Yelp and contacted for a quote to replace a wood side yard gate that was damaged and dragging. He was able to quote based on pics and dimensions I sent. When he came out, he built the gate on site, made some improvements to the existing mounting posts and size to prevent any future issues. Only took a few hours to do, cut up the old gate for me, and cleaned up the dust. I'm so thrilled to finally have a nice working gate!

So let me start off by saying John must be the brother of Doc from the Back To The Future Movies, lol.

I had hired someone to help with some smart light switches and they broke a few and left with my lights not working.

So I contacted John and he quoted me on replacing 20 - 30 light switches to smart internet-connected ones. I had already purchased them at Costco, so I just needed the install.

When he got to my house he immediately saw what the other guy did wrong and got the job done.

Asked him about removing a water softener system, he said no problem and took care of it.

Asked for help with a few other items, he said no problem and took care of it.

I tell ya, John can do anything, he knows his stuff and won't waste your time or money.

John responded to my initial contact within a few minutes and provided a reasonable estimate after viewing our electrical, flooring and door replacement projects. He suggested reasonable alternatives rather than the more costly and time intensive electrical options. He texted appointment confirmation the night before and arrived punctually. He was flexible when we added on the installation of two solar security lights. He advised us on code requirements for our door replacements and tutored us on tile selections for our next project.

We subsequently hired John for an additional set of projects, painting a bedroom, cutting, painting and installing mop boards running electrical service and installing a new ceiling fan; installing a kitchen floor and threshold including cutting, painting and installing mop boards; rehanging three existing hallway doors; and cutting, painting and installing a new board for our ceiling attic entry. This experience was not as positive as our first. John and his assistant did not come prepared with adequate tools and supplies causing unnecessary delays in completion. The bedroom required a paint redo as several areas were not adequately covered. Although John assured us that he could install our choice of kitchen flooring, well into the project he acknowledged that he was not familiar with the materials and hadn't paid attention to the overall patterning. We asked him to remove and replace a section before continuing. He advised against it saying they had had to hammer the snap-in pieces to lay flat and that it could compromise the remainder of the installation. This resulted in a less than attractive, expensive floor with damaged seams. I give an overall rating of three stars because John and his assistant were very pleasant and required a lot of oversight.

Found John on Yelp. I've hired him 2 times in the last few months to do some 1-2 day jobs that had lots of small tasks. I made a list and walked him thru. He quoted me his hourly rate to which I agreed.

He arrived on time with his assistant and went to work. They completed every task doing exactly as I requested. His work was outstanding! They did a lot of electrical, some plumbing, drywall and painting, carpentry. He and his assistant are pleasant and even funny. His prices were reasonable. I will definitely use him for future projects. I'm workin on another list now.

I contacted John electronically for a quote for a window repair. I had a couple of people get back to me with inflated pricing and didn't really guarantee what they were going to do to fix the window or how they were really going to do it. John was able to give me an exact quote electronically, diagnose the problem remotely, came in and fixed it within minutes he is experienced reliable honest and fair. I will be contacting him again for my handyman needs.
