On August 14, 1967, Jim Ujazdowski launched Jim's Plumbing. Trained in Three Lakes, Wisconsin, Jim gaining seven years of plumbing expertise before opening his own shop in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Initially, Jim operated solo for the first two years, conducting the same types of plumbing projects we handle today— covering commercial, multifamily, and residential plumbing projects. As demand increased, Jim's Plumbing brought on apprentices and additional plumbers.
Jim's eldest son, Jeff, joined the family business during high school and right after. In the early 1980s, a shortage of jobs encouraged him to explore other career paths that provided him with essential business and people skills.
