The lady that scheduled my appointment was very professional and accommodating to my schedule. She scheduled me for a late afternoon (4pm) service appointment to have my fireplace serviced. However, the day of my service when I called to verify the tech's arrival time, the ""gentleman"" answering the phone was extremely condescending and basically stating the tech would not be coming to my home because it was too late in the day.


I have NEVER dealt with a company with such terrible customer service. No respect for their customers nor their time. If basic decency matters to you, then take your business elsewhere and do not waste your time with this company!

If giving 0 stars were an option, I would! Don't bother with these people. After 5 visits and replacing 2 units in my house we still don't have air upstairs. These guys suck!!!!!!!!!!!!

This review is not for the service, but for their scheduling staff. I scheduled someone to come over and run diagnostics in my fireplace, which is currently not working. They scheduled for a Wednesday afternoon, someone was supposed to call me in the morning to give me an arrival window, and then later 30min prior to their arrival.

Wednesday morning came and nothing. When it got to 2pm, I called them to see if someone was still coming. They said they were backlogged with too many people needing their A/C fixed, which took priority over my fireplace due to the hot weather. I asked why I wasn't notified, but no answer to that.

I asked if I could schedule it for another day, and the person said yes, but there was no guarantee someone would show up. I asked if that was the case, if someone would call me. Then the person reiterated that was hot season, priority was given to A/C over fireplaces, etc. At that point I just thanked him, and hung up.

In summary: if you're not servicing fireplaces because of of the hot season, just say that. If you are scheduling appointments, call when they will not be kept and this way customers won't take off work and wait on you. It's not hard.

Central AC went out at 11pm and I called Jiffy. They got a service tech to my house first thing in the morning, charged $175 for a diagnostic fee and, after assessing the situation, decided that I needed a new evaporator coil -- parts and labor $2600. I called another heating and cooling company to get a second quote on the evaporator coil cost and the HVAC tech came out, found a dirty filter in the exchange in the attic, changed the filter, performed a service check on the entire system, and left a new replacement filter for 2-3 months from now. Total charge, $74. I did not need a new evaporator coil. System works great now. Definitely will not be calling on Jiffy ever agin.

I have used Jiffy several times over the past few years. I had always had a positive experience but, the last time I used them, I had to be very persistent to get them to repair the drywall in the basement that was unnecessarily cut out.

I needed some one to check out my AC in a timely manner. I chose Jiffy from the yellow pages and then checked out the reviews. It turned out to be a good decision. Antonio came out, on time, and greeted me at the door with a smile and his name. I explained what I thought and he set right to work. He checked the unit outside and then inside. He did not find anything but was polite and respectful of my 'Are you sure?' attitude. The office staff and customer scheduling were all very nice and understood the timetable I had. I would recommend them for your repair needs!

Fixed the issue but them advertising a ""free estimate"" is very misleading. When I asked for an estimate, was told they would need to get the cost of the part before giving an estimate. Once the part was priced out, they gave the cost to fix the issue or not fix the issue - the fee for them to come out and diagnose was $100.

I can't say enough good things about Jiffy. We call them for all our plumbing, heating, cooling issues. Their technicians are very professional and knowledgeable (and when they weren't sure, they worked with Jiffy to send someone who had the right skills). Jiffy has tackled several challenging problems in our old DC home, including some where we needed the city's coordination. They were patient and helpful throughout the entire process and followed up afterwards to make sure things were working properly.
