I needed some one to check out my AC in a timely manner. I chose Jiffy from the yellow pages and then checked out the reviews. It turned out to be a good decision. Antonio came out, on time, and greeted me at the door with a smile and his name. I explained what I thought and he set right to work. He checked the unit outside and then inside. He did not find anything but was polite and respectful of my 'Are you sure?' attitude. The office staff and customer scheduling were all very nice and understood the timetable I had. I would recommend them for your repair needs!
Fixed the issue but them advertising a ""free estimate"" is very misleading. When I asked for an estimate, was told they would need to get the cost of the part before giving an estimate. Once the part was priced out, they gave the cost to fix the issue or not fix the issue - the fee for them to come out and diagnose was $100.
Great experience, we had called 2 different plumbers and the other was a large company that wanted $800 to do the job that Jiffy did for $289. We had our shower faucet replaced, and we love the new one. Great experience and good quality.
Jim C.I can't say enough good things about Jiffy. We call them for all our plumbing, heating, cooling issues. Their technicians are very professional and knowledgeable (and when they weren't sure, they worked with Jiffy to send someone who had the right skills). Jiffy has tackled several challenging problems in our old DC home, including some where we needed the city's coordination. They were patient and helpful throughout the entire process and followed up afterwards to make sure things were working properly.

When you get the feeling that you are a bother when you are only asking for a time frame (4, 5...heck even a 6 hour window), it's time to move on to the next plumber on the list! Sharon W.I am surprised I have not written a review of Jiffy. A year or so ago we decided to renovate our gas fireplace. We wanted to have a fireplace with a remote control. They installed a beautiful fireplace with a remote on and off and a temperature control. And, recently our furnace went out. We had a contract with another company for ""priority service"" but they couldn't come out. But Jiffy sent out an employee, he rigged a temporary (but safe) heat vent and the next morning we had the heat back on. Very awesome service from Jiffy.
I would give them no stars if that was an option. I waited for a week and called the supervisor and still did not receive a quote. When I explained to the supervisor about what was going on, he said that it doesn't matter what they were telling me the day before in regards to receiving a quote. Horrible customer service and I wouldn't recommend anyone going to them unless they have time to waste waiting on them to do a job or even provide a quote.
This company should get 6 stars! Pete is phenomenal and goes above and beyond like no other company we have worked with in the past. His professionalism, encyclopedic knowledge, down to earth nature, promptness and follow-up is second to none. Don't waste your time or money with any other company.
Declan D.I called and told them I was having an issue with my electric hot water heater. It keep tripping the circuit breaker. They asked if I wanted someone to come out, so I said yes and they asked if i wanted a morning or afternoon appointment, I said morning.
The day of the appointment, the technician didn't call until almost 4 pm to tell me he was on his way. When he arrived, he quickly looked and told me I had an electrical problem, not an issue with the hot water heater.
I called an electrician to come out, and per their review it was not an electrical issue. It was the hot water heater, this company scheduled their plumber to come out and per his review it had to be replaced. They replaced it and it worked.
Difference between Jiffy and the plumbing company that actually completed the work: Jiffy showed up late. Other plumbing company showed up on time, diagnosed the issue and in addition, made sure to wear boot covers whenever entering the house so not to bring dirt in.
