In 1993, Lee and Kris Bohrer established Jetter Clean. Following the loss of his father, Lee took over the assets of his father's drain cleaning company. He started with a snake machine to clean drains. After a near-fatal incident where his hand became trapped in the machine, he realized there had to be a safer method. Years of effort led to the creation of his patented Jet Van, utilizing water jets to effectively clear and clean pipes.
