Jerry, a second-generation plumber, has deep roots in the plumbing industry. In 1993, he achieved the milestone of being the youngest plumber to obtain his Contractors License. Just a year after starting, Jerry hired his first team member. Within five years, we grew to a team of ten talented technicians. In 1998, we introduced a new division for fire sprinkler system installations. By 1999, we had added HVAC repair and service to our repertoire. By 2001, we were handling all aspects of plumbing, heating, and air conditioning.

Being locally owned and family-operated, we value our connection to the community. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, we maintain the high standards established in 1993: honesty, integrity, and a solid work ethic. We prioritize complete satisfaction for our customers above all else!

Super accommodating family owed company. We have used them several times for our vacation home in Santa Barbara. Great customer service, I never have to worry about gauging long distance owners. Can't say enough about their honesty.

We had a couple of old shower heads which needed replacing. One was in the master bathroom.
W. came and inspected the bathrooms. A few days later he called to say he had the replacements, total cost would be $270. I agreed without checking what this incurred.
When W. came he stayed for a very short time and inserted 2 inexpensive shower heads. We assumed he would replace the old faucet in the master bath but when we asked him about it, he looked blank. At one point he told us that we could remove a couple of screws ourselves and fill the gaps with a sealant which we could get from the store.
The whole 'plumbing' deal took about 20 minutes and the replacement shower heads probably cost about $30.
I foolishly gave him a check for $270 as I hate confrontations. The guy who did the work is lazy and a con man... don't use Jerry's Plumbing!

My 83 year old mother found this guy from a neighbor for a small leak in her bath tub. The plumber was at her home for 20 minutes and his hourly rate was $145, the part was $28.00, for a total of $173.00. I find this to be way over priced. In my opinion, she was extremely overcharged and taken advantage of, as she is a senior citizen on a fixed income. The average hourly rate for plumbers on the westside is $65-$90 per hour. I would not recommend this company.

I was losing water pressure throughout the house each time the toilet was flushed, so the home warranty company sent Jerry's. The technicians were well-mannered and pleasant, but they didn't appear to do anything. Derrick speculated I had an obstruction in the line, then stepped outside to call the warranty company to get an investigation (scoping?) approved. It was denied, so he told me I had 2 options: try to isolate the obstruction or repipe the house. He discouraged me from the investigation, saying it would cost 2 men at $153/hour and could take a long time, and might not even find anything. When I asked how much a repipe would be he literally just walked into my bathroom and came back out and quoted me $7,000. He urged me to ""hold a place"" on the schedule by booking for Monday morning while I thought about it. He said it would take 2 days of being without water. My brother's (larger) house was done in 1 day. I asked him to write up an estimate and what he gave me was barely legible and lacking detail. After he left I could think more clearly and felt I'd been hustled. I don't think he even checked the pressure regulator--he would have said so if he had. And every plumber I've ever known has a camera on his truck. Why was he reluctant to use it to diagnose my issue? When I called to cancel the repipe, the guy who answered the phone was rude and abrupt and basically hung up on me after saying he would remove me from the schedule. I have a very bad feeling about this business, and I can see from other reviews I'm not alone. Never again.

I was excited originally to work with this company since my insurance works with them.
AND: My previous review was good.

However, this process has been gruelling, frustrating and unprofessional.

My thoughts: Don't use if you know another reliable company it isn't worth the hassle.

Sadly, I had a situation where the electrical wires in heater in the Attic caught fire. Jerry's came out to do the initial diagnosis to get my insurance going.
The ongoing issue I have had beginning in June and it is now Nov 10th is a lack of communication, call backs from the heater repairman Luis.

Once I had everything together to get the heater installed he came out to install the unit. It wasn't until a couple of weeks later when I went to turn my heater on that I was alerted that it wasn't fully connected yet.

I was told that they couldn't do the installation until the roofing was completed..

Fast forward, I have my roofers beginning work and both myself and the roofers reached out to Luis several times to ensure we could coordinate the final install for the heater.

I was unaware until after the roofing was completed that Luis had not gotten in touch with our roofer. The Result:

Upon speaking to the installer he said that he needed to take apart the roof to finish the installation costing me, the customer another 800 from the roofer and who knows how much from Jerry's Plumbing.

Based on the lack of communication and subsequent issue with the installation I would have expected Jerry's plumbing to come out and finish the install free of additional charges. This did not seem to be the case. Moreover, I now have a hole in my roof and it has started getting cold. Still no heat throughout.

The installer let us know he would be available a week from the completion of the roof which also was not any sort of accommodation for the problem.

At this point, I no longer trust this installer nor the Company he represents and will be hiring a completely unrelated heating company to complete the work.

Hopefully my next review is a positive one.. Cheers

I just noticed that they also have a low rating on Yelp that I hadn't checked prior to the work being contracted.

Home warranty sent them out to repair our heater. Very responsive and professional. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

Our home warranty company sent Jerry's to fix a stopped kitchen drain. Their technician, Adrian, was extraordinarily rude in dealing with both me and the warranty company and was totally unable to communicate to the warranty company what needed to be repaired and thus struggled getting authorization. He was unable to locate the lateral clean out (which was immediately adjacent to the sink under a cabinet). He failed to successfully snake the line (perhaps not his fault), and then to top it all off, he broke a pipe in the wall while trying to open the lateral clean out. AND THEN HE LEFT without fixing it, calling the warranty company or providing any accountability. His reasons? The authorization delay meant he was backed up on other calls! He likely caused over a thousand dollars in damage the warranty company won't cover and just walked off. Unbelievable.

Hired them to install a water softener in Goleta. The plumber showed up late, took hours for a rather straight forward job (the loop, drain and electric were already in place), charged me $355 and to top it off, the piping he installed to the drain is leaking. Jerry's response when I called just now? We can have someone out there on Monday - and today is Friday. Whoever answered the phone could not have cared less. And, just in case you think they're local to Santa Barbara, they are NOT. Located in Santa Maria and the plumber who did this stellar job for me lives over an hour away from here. Terrible service to say the least.

I am reading some of these reviews & I can't believe it. I have used Jerry's for years & have always had great experiences. They came today & William unclogged my dishwasher & it works great !!! The appointment was from 12 to 5 & he was at my home at 12:30. I purchased a waterheater a while back & they installed it the same day so we didn't have to take cold showers. I will ALWAYS use Jerry's !!!
