I had a sump pump that failed; called Jerry's Plumbing & Heating for service on a Saturday afternoon and left a short message describing the problem. Within an hour I received a callback from Jerry's. Since it was not an emergency, we agreed to postpone the service visit until the following Monday morning. Monday morning, Jerry's senior technician Doug K. arrived promptly with the correct replacement pump and all of the materials required to complete the job. Doug was professional, courteous, and informative. He had my problem resolved quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Jerry's Plumbing & Heating to friends and relatives for their HVAC and plumbing service needs. Good job!

i called about my sump pump and water making noise in ground, they told me my pump was fine, but never about the pipe, but they were willing to offer me different type of services for an additional cost. however, had to called in another company and they looked and waited to hear the noise of the water. They justified that the pipe was clogged and need to be replaced.

I would not recommend this company at all.

My kitchen sink was leaking and Thomas Baker from Jerry's Plumbing and Heating came out to fix it. My experience with him went very well. He was very helpful and extremely professional.

They aren't accredited with the Better Business Bureau- Beware! I called them to fix and leaky faucet in a rental property and they told me because my sink was rusted out, it would need to be replaced and they quoted my $1475. I called someone else who replaced the faucet and found no rust. Overpriced and dishonest.

This is a response i got from the owner. They quoted me $1200.00 to replace a two pipe water softener with a unit I already bought. Just two pipes. Sears quoted me $281. Sears as we all know is usually the highest. The call was for an estimate. Sounds like they should have said I'll send someone out first. Notice his cursing at the end. Here is the owners response.Jerry's Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning I am the owner of Jerry's Plumbing and heating . I was in the office when you called. You asked for a price over the phone. We offered to come out for free and you refused. So having to give an estimate without seeing we had to just give you a number as you asked. Had you allowed us to come out and look I would have given you an accurate estimate. I have been in business for over 20 years and have always made an honest effort to price jobs fairly. I have never screwed anyone in my entire life. I have many customers who appreciate what we do. Obviously I'm not going to give a price over the phone thy would put me at a disadvantage or to loose money. I have excellent employees who I pay very well. They work very hard and deserve every penny they make. Yes they get paid vacations, holidays, health insurance, brand new company trucks that are fully stocked so that they can offer the best service that money can buy. They get bonuses for hard work. We have picnics and Christmas parties. Yes they get nice Christmas bonuses too. . I also make a real good living. I have a nice house and all of the toys. I have a retirement, I have health insurance, life insurance, investments, new cars and my wife loves nice things. So yes sir, we provide top notch service at a premium. We offered you service right away. We said we would be right there at your conveinience. You refused and demanded the inaccurate estimate over the phone instead of affording the opportunity to provide you with an accurate estimate. Which was free by the way. You didnt put any of this in your post. Instead , you chose to discredit me and my company for your failure to allow us to see. Why don't you explain all of that in your post. Why is it you take such pride in attempting to ruin what we have worked for years to accomplish.? And by the way pal, my technician was very courteous to you on the phone. He called you sir and offered you a free estimate right away. And you said no and demanded it over the phone. It was you was disrespectful to my employee and talked to him like he was a piece of crapp because we told you our best price without seeing. You see there is more to a softener than just two pipes. There is a backwash discharge pipe that must go on to a safe wasted drain. There is an over flow. There is a pre filter, there is electrical, you need to put salt in it. You need to program it, you may or may not need to solder. You may or may not need a fitting because you haven't seen it prior to coming to install because of the over the phone estimate. There is disposal. There is such thing as our 2 year warranty on parts and labor which we take very seriously. There may be a need for a pan. There may be a requirement for a permit. We also end up on jobs where the customer leaves all of there stuff In our way and we find ourselves having to move all kinds of things out of the way. And then we have to pay taxes and insurance in order to do our part as a hard working American tax payer and to protect your property. We also provide drop cloths, shoe covers. We even purchase these little stickers with our phone number on it and put it on your new appliances so if you have a problem you can quickly reach one of our top notch well payed and insured technicians who will promptly be there when you call. We also pay that person that answers the phone when you call after hours. Oh, yes, we pay for phones too. And also those convenient tablets so we can promptly send you an invoice so you can promptly pay us. So I recommend you remove this post. Because now you look like some cheap ass who cares nothing about who he has in his home and around his family , but only cost. And you obviously love changing shit around and making people look bad so you can feel good. So you report this Robbery . If you like. Oh, yes we also have a good lawyer, and he loves going after people like you who love to assassinate other people's character for no reason and who talks shit out the side of his face.

My AC recently went out last Monday. I called my home warranty company and they were trying to send a company to me that messed me up last time. After speaking to them, then they try to send another company to me and after looking at the reviews I said to myself, I'm going to have to pay out-of-pocket for this one. I contacted Jerry because they have consistently help me with any issues that I have had in my house. Steve came out to my house and he told me exactly what the issue was with my AC unit. After doing his diagnosis and trying to get it working, he told me that I needed to get a new unit. Steve kept in contact with me and told me when he could come out to install the unit which was today. He was extremely professional and he got the job done right and the house is finally cool once again. I highly recommend Jerry's Plumbing and Heating.

Not only did no one show up for the service call that I took time off to be home for, but then I called that evening and left a message about this and no one returned my call. It's been a full 2 business days and no one even bothered to call me about the missed appointment. Clearly not a company that I'll ever call or recommend!

This the second time American Home Shield (AHS) has contracted Jerry's Plumbing, Waldorf, MD to service my house and the experience was horrible.

On Christmas Eve 2015, my electric hot water heater stopped working. The technician responded fast. He was professional when he entered and began working. After he made his assessment of the heater he explained the heating mechanism was not working. He said he attempted to drain the tank but do to the sediment buildup it would not drain so the whole heater needed to be replaced. I thought ok, that's why I pay for AHS. Then he said, the pipes and everything else around the heater were not to code so they needed to be brought up to standard too. My house is only ten years old. Could it be that off from code? The technician quoted me $1600. 00 additional for bringing the stuff up to code on top of the charges they would bill AHS. I cannot remember the technicians name but I remember him saying he was the owners son-in-law.

I elected to have a second opinion from another plumbing service in the area. (Not the place to advertise for someone else.) The other company came out and was able to drain my heater with nothing more than a water hose. Thought it was clogged with sediment. After the heater was drained, the technician replaced the heating coil (A $10 part) and departed in a little over an hour. The total charge ended up being less than the AHS service fee.

The second time having to work with Jerry's and the reason I decided to write this long review was 6 Apr 2016. My other hot water heater stopped working. It is a gas water heater. They actually worked my appointment in a day earlier than scheduled, GREAT. So I thought.

Mike, the technician that showed up 7 Apr 2016 was professional and fast. He assessed the heater, told me what was wrong with it and said he would have to order the part. Mike said he would give me a call when he got back to his shop to give me an update about the part. Everything Mike said went as said. He left and 15-20 minutes later I received a call from the secretary informing me the part was order and she schedule an appointment for me 8 Apr 2016 between 0800 (8am) and 1400 (2pm). All is well, right?

Not so much, 1430 comes around and there is no word from Jerry's. I called around 1500, spoke with the secretary and she said the part had not arrived yet. Ok, I get it. Out of their control. At 1645 I called them back and again I am told the part had not come in so the secretary scheduled me an appointment for 11 Apr 2016 from 1400 - 1800. I understand the part being delivered was out of Jerry's control but the lack of communication with a paying customer is horrible. If you cannot stick to your scheduled appoints contact your customers; they should not have to contact you.

Now for my 11 Apr 2016 appoint. My second day of having to burn a day of vacation to be home! For the sake of length. NO CALL, NO SHOW and NO UPDATES! It is the 11th at 2119 (9:19PM) and I have had NO updates from the company or the technicians. HORRIBLE!!!!

I would give no star if it were possible, this company is a scam and I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau!

$109 for a service fee just to come out and do nothing, $ 300 to snake a sink which takes 15 mins and then say it's not warrantied when called back out the next day because it was still backing up, was never cleared!. All that for $409. What a great way to get free money.

Wanted to also charge $225to replace a sink stopper, parts cost $5 and takes 10 mins to install, yes I did it myself! I prey that BBB will close this scam for a business down!

Will request Yelp have a 0 stars option for cases like this.
