In 1994, Jerry launched Jerry's Handy Service, Inc to supplement his income while still working TECO. Over the years, his enthusiasm for home improvements increased a stronger commitment for improving homes. By 2001, the company made salary reductions for numerous long-time employees, and Jerry was among them. At that moment, he resolved to pursue his passion as his main career. Thus, Jerry borrowed his retirement fund and transformed into a full-time entrepreneur dedicated to enhancing properties.

During 2004, Jerry placed a small advertisement in the local newspaper. That small ad caught the eye of Tampa Hillsborough Action Plan, Inc. The director of weatherization reached out to him for a discussion to act as a contractor for the organization, which increased his clientele. By 2009, he received a call by American Project & Repair to become a contractor on upcoming jobs. During 2011, the American Homes company got in touch with him. Come 2014, he employed a team of five and was on the rise. At Jerry's Improvements & Restoration, clients are our top priority!
