We had three or four good experiences with JD plumbing, but this last time was very different. We called him several times because the toilet repair he had done didn't work, but he totally ghosted us. I see several other reviews that reveal the same pattern. This plumber needs to guarantee his work and respond to his messages.

I tried to replace my kitchen faucet and could not get the bolt holding the unit to the sink to move. I bought and returned several special tools finally cutting off everything but the bolt hold the faucet body firmly to the sink.
I called JD plumbing and he can out that day! Yeah he got it off in no time and installed the new faucet as part of the call!!
Thank you JD plumbing!! I'll call again next time!

Super bummed about this plumber, he started out so great. But in the end he got in over his head and instead of just being honest with us he stopped communicating all together mid way through a project Leaving us to find a new plumber to finish his mess. Additionally, just heard from my tenant he left their yard a huge mess when he promised he wouldn't. They didn't even connect the right hot water pipe from under the house. Ugh. Try Ethans Plumbing in Alameda he's super communicative and very reasonably priced. I should have called him in the first place.

JD installed a new water heater in late August. There's a problem with it.
I called and we spoke 2wks ago. That's the last I've heard of him No responses to text or calls.

Can't support a non professional attitude with even the guarantee of his work he claims. I'll have to use a more reputable service and pay for that since Jon doesn't care about his business.

JD started off okay trying to repair a leak in my upstairs bath. After two visits and being unable to locate and repair the leak, he had to open up my wall. He proceeded and was to return. Unfortunately, he did not return despite my making multiple calls and texting him. He never responded. He put a hole in my wall, abandoned the job and didn't have the work ethic to either admit he was unable to locate the problem or refer me to another plumber. I will not hire him under any circumstances!

Jon from JD Plumbing came out today to service my bathroom sump pump. He did a great job, and even though he replaced a part, he didn't charge anything above his original estimate. I plan to call JD Plumbing whenever I have a plumbing issue. Highly recommend them.

JD did a great job! He switched the water heaters for me even pulled the permit and brought the new water heater to my house, and disposed of the old one. He is very professional and efficient, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a job well done. Thanks Jon you where great, I will definitely be referring everyone I know to you!

This is a long overdue review. JD is a wonderful plumber he takes care of my rental properties in the Oakland/Alameda area. He's switched garbage disposals, to kitchen and bathe faucets, to water heaters for me. We just renovated our apartment complex and Jon completely repiped my building. He repiped our water pipes, sewer pipes in the house, and sewer pipes from the house to the street. I was very impressed by the the amount and the quality of work he did. Jon's work is always for a very fair price. Thanks JD I'd recommend you to anyone!!
