After this last earthquake on 1/4/17, I realized it was probably a good idea to install a gas shutoff valve in my house in Oakland.
Called several plumbers from Yelp, all went to voicemail except for JD plumbing who picked up the phone right away and was able to come the next day.
The crew was very professional and did a great job.
Will definitely call them again for our next project.

Called up JD plumbing to have a look at my water heater as it wasn't generating a spark to light the pilot. They came out on the same day, were super pleasant to work with, and made the replacement on the same day as well.

I needed a new kitchen faucet installed because the original one wasn't the greatest quality and hadn't been correctly installed. Jon quickly installed the new faucet for a reasonable price and also corrected what the original plumber/installer did wrong or didn't do. He's great and professional, and I'm definitely going to call him again for any other plumbing issues.

Update to my previous review...
Before I called a plumber my neighbor recommended I called JD Plumbing one final time to see if John had a good reason for the no-show? and no call back after over a week. He answered right away and said he had been in the hospital and could come out the next day to fix the powder room sink. He was right on time and fixed the problem. I will call JD Plumbing again the next time I need a plumber. John is polite, doesn't try to sell you on unnecessary work and was available on short notice when other plumbers were hard to reach.

Called around and got an estimate by Jon and his guys to install new shampoo bowls in my salon. They were super nice and honest and got the job done efficiently and thoroughly. I would definitely use and recommend them if you had a last minute plumbing issue or any kind of upgrade. Great Work!

Jon just left and boy am I relieved. Everything was fixed beautifully, so I will no longer be washing dishes in the tub!

First of all, he actually picked up the phone when I called! He arrived when he said he would, explained what he would do and gave me a price up front. He and his apprentice we friendly and professional and worked quickly. And at no time was there a display or plumber's crack;-)

Give him a call, you won't be disappointed.

Alright, alright, alright, good update!
Jon ended up having a medical emergency which makes sense now since I didn't get that vibe from him when we first met and we had a really good rapport going on his first visit here.
After recovering he was quick to respond, apologized, and was quick to replace the sink trap in our garage and it looks amazing.

I think it's safe to say stuff like this happens in this type of work when you have your apprentice do the work for experience so it was reassuring he took care of this job himself this time and was hands on. I'm sure he will be triple checking everything from now on. I will still use JD Plumbing for future work and I can now confidently say that I stand by my initial review of 5 stars!
