The remodel of our condo in Laguna Woods took much longer than we expected - partly due to asbestos abatement and testing - but James Remodeling did a great job and the results are beautiful. We removed the wall between the kitchen and living room and remodeled the kitchen, removing the dropped ceiling and finishing the skylight shaft. Also remodeled both bathrooms - turning the tub into a shower. There were several expected change orders once the walls were opened up but James and Armin and Fred worked with us to keep the costs in line. James is very hands on, his crew is very professional and they do excellent work. My husband normally watches over our construction projects very carefully but with James we mostly stayed away and let them do their work except when they had questions. My mother in law is very happy with her ""brand new"" condo and she is loving all the compliments.

We had a very outdated and small bathroom. We did a lot of research and chose James Remodeling to expand our bathroom and completely remodel it. They opened the wall between the bathroom and the adjacent closet and increased the size by about 100%. The workers were prompt, professional and cleaned up after every portion of the job. Armin and James made suggestions along the way that made everything look and work even better. I am beyond happy with the look of our new bathroom. The before and after is so dramatic! Love it!!

Picking a general contractor can be an overwhelming process - and I'm glad I picked James Remodeling for the job!
I needed to remodel my parents condo in Laguna Woods, which if you know anything about Laguna Woods, the permitting process takes a long time and the building code requirements are strict and quite extensive.
James and his team were a complete pleasure to work with throughout this process. What stands out as their differentiator and unique value proposition is that James is always on-site with his team, checking in or doing the actual electrical and plumbing work himself!! Having his expertise made me trust the high quality of his work. His team is also a genuine pleasure to work with as well. They were very respectful of noise levels and HOA rules (being in a senior community, neighbors are very sensitive to noise). He is also VERY clean. At the end of every day, his team would clean up any debris!
James is very responsive when there were any questions and is always available via text or phone. He also loves treating his clients to lunch :)
I also worked with Shawna on the design of the kitchen - and she was equally professional and a pleasure to work with.
I truly feel like the team at James Remodeling is like family now and I would absolutely use them again for future remodels.
We'll be telling all our friends of their great work. My parents are so happy with their new home.

We moved into an older home in Irvine, and hired James Remodeling for a kitchen remodel, minor backyard hardscaping, and electrical panel upgrade. After a previous bad experience with another contractor that lasted for months, we weren't sure we were up for more remodeling, but ultimate went with him because I was impressed by Shawna's communication skills at the initial meeting and James seemed technically capable.

Despite a few issues with permits that cost us time and money of eating out for yet another month because our kitchen was already demoed, when the kitchen was done, it was done beautifully and technically well. I also had some communication issues with a few of their subcontractors, but James' core team was the best. They were courteous, meticulous, and very efficient. When James is working at your house, you can trust that everything is done well and tasks are handled very efficiently. I enjoyed having them around and feel safe to know they are working on our house.

The remodeling process for us was very stressful, but we are ultimately grateful to have James put the finishing touches on our new home. The kitchen remodel really opened up our living space to something we can enjoy. I'm especially happy to have the electrical upgrade so I can finally install my pottery kiln to resume creative work after a long hiatus of just dealing with house stuff. In short, there are very few trustworthy contractors around, and I can safely say, you can trust his work.

I don't often leave reviews for companies but was really motivated to write this one. We received quotes from 5 other contractors before deciding. Spent a lot of time looking over estimates/reading reviews--finally landing on these guys based on their knowledge, quality of work and the overall process.

That said, we had a GREAT experience with James Remodeling Inc. James and Armin were incredible to work with and their crew did an amazing job in our home. They involved us in all decisions and made sure we felt comfortable with their suggestions. We provided a rough design and the team knocked it out the park!
I would highly recommend James Remodeling to anyone looking to transform their home.

My wife and I had such a great experience working with James Remodeling. Expecting a baby soon we were on a time crunch and desperately needed our bathroom and kitchen remodeled (in addition to the baseboards, a custom stair railing and a whole house re-pipe). Right after we initially reached out to them, they came out to our house to see what we wanted, gave us a quote and created a mock-up for us.


Before starting, we picked out most of our materials from their office which made everything super convenient. Armin was our contact throughout the whole process, he was on point with scheduling and keep us in the loop with what to expect next. A great and honest person to work with.

During the actual renovation, James and his team who came in and out of our house were very respectful, easy to collaborate with and most importantly did a phenomenal job! They also kept a very clean workspace which was icing on the cake!

James Remodeling is very detail oriented, organized and efficient. We couldn't be happier. We will definitely go to them for future projects.

We contracted with James Remodeling to remodel our master bathroom. We signed contract because James was the only contracting company that came with their contractor's license and insurance and they were very meticulous in looking over potential problems and very upfront about pricing. They were timely in their response to producing a bid and it was very convenient to select tile at their showroom. James remodeling was not the cheapest bid, but we went into the job with confidence that the work was going to be performed as per contract. Fred was very helpful in coordinating the various steps of the remodel from the demolition, the tile and then the installation of fixtures. We are so happy with our bathroom, and especially the new shower. It is wonderful.
I would not hesitate to recommend James remodeling and will likely be using them again in the future.

Going through a home remodel is a very difficult time; especially if you are living in the house with a family. I cannot say enough great things about James Remodeling and their amazing company. I will begin by talking about James and Armin and the many other fantastic people that worked on my home. They were professional, responsive, detailed oriented, and just super nice. I made many changes at the last minute and they just were helpful and kind. Their work was amazing and I felt so fortunate that I found this company. Every detail was handled and they were so clean throughout the process. They kept me up to date on the schedule and told me exactly when they would be at my home. My entire 1st floor of my home looks outstanding. You will not find any better company than James Remodeling.

This is such a long overdue review for the wonderful fantastic job that James and his team helped us. James is such an expert in all remodeling work! His professional experience definitely helped us a lot in deciding what work needs to be done and what would be best for our home. He's done all the electrical re-wiring, installed all our lights, remodeling of our bathrooms, removed a wall and painted our whole place. He is very professional and very helpful. For work that he doesn't think we should do, he would tell us not to do, or give us advise on alternatives. He has high standard and always wanted to do a good job. He is very easy to work with and easy to talk to. No doubt he's a busy guy because he really does good work! I highly recommend James for any renovation work. Thank you James!
