Derek came to take care of an issue that had been plaguing me for weeks. I was afraid that the service would not only be costly but time consuming. Derek was pleasant, timely in his work and solved the issue effortlessly. He also provided me with insight for preventive maintenance. I will certainly call Jack Ward and Sons should I have any issues in the future.

John B.I called them and they said they were going to dispatch someone out on the field. Never heard anything from them after. I even called back twice and the call center had no clue what was going on.
I was told I needed a power vent water heater for my new house. I explained multiple times that my house specifically took a power vent water heater. When they arrived, they brought the wrong one. I had waited an hour and a half for them to arrive for them to bring the wrong one. Once I called to see when they could deliver the correct one, Tracey was unprofessional. Poor communication within the company and poor customer service. Am gladly finding someone else to install this power vent water heater.
The receptionist took my call early Friday morning, and I was fortunate enough to have an appointment later that day. Buddy called about an hour out to confirm we would be home, and showed up on time about 3pm. Bad news, but necessary news: We had to have a new boiler (old one was from 2001). Buddy went back to the shop, dealt with the infamous Nashville Friday traffic, got the new boiler and came back to install it. Me, my wife, and our 1.5 month old daughter had to leave by 5pm that day. We trusted Buddy to test his work while we weren't at our home (that trust developed from Buddy's sincere professionalism and considerate personality). We left around 5pm, while later that evening Buddy texted and called to let us know that he was there until 7pm (on a FRIDAY night, mind you) trying to troubleshoot an electrical problem, which he finally found (new breaker). He had to wait till the following morning to get the breaker and finish up the boiler (Sat. was his day off). Buddy texted and called early Sat. morning to confirm, and then came over and finished up the job. I would HIGHLY recommend Jack Ward Pluming. Excellent service and workmanship--worth every penny.
Rod B.I called Jack Wards about three weeks ago about a shower leak on my second floor. Within a day or two they sent someone out. As murphy's law would have it we couldn't get it to leak. The technician took it as a personal challenge and did everything he could to find the problem. After about an hr of trouble shooting we were finally able to recreate the leak. While fixing the problem he explained what he was doing in depth, and even showed me what to do if I ever had a problem with it in the future. When he finished I had him take a look at my kitchen faucet. After a minor mishap he without hesitation replaced my faucet with a new one of the same brand and quality.
My only complaint would be that they hire someone to repair drywall when they are finished with repairs. That is the only thing that kept this from being a 5star review. Definitely will use them again in the future.
My water heater burst a few weeks ago, and while Jack Ward & Sons didn't have the cheapest quote out of all the plumbers I called, the price was reasonable (in comparison) and the people I spoke to in the office were very friendly and helpful. They patiently and kindly explained what would be involved and what was included, how the price was calculated, and what it would cost extra for emergency service if I wanted it done same-day instead of the next day (several of the plumbers I spoke to wouldn't have been able to come for 4-5 days, which would have left me without running water the whole time because there was no hot-water shutoff in my house!).
Travis & Jayce showed up when they said they would, and took time to talk to my home warranty company on the phone before doing anything so I could make sure I'd qualify for reimbursement, and then efficiently removed my old water heater, installed a new one with a new drip pan, and added a hot water shutoff so I could turn off just the water heater in the future. They also identified a leak in a pipe I hadn't noticed, and replaced that section of pipe. They worked cleanly, quickly, and with high quality, and were also very friendly throughout, answering my questions and offering advice about water heaters in general, the leaking pipe, and about working with contractors when I have to get all the water damage taken care of.
Great experience all around! Hopefully I won't need a new water heater again anytime soon, but I'll keep them in mind for any other plumbing jobs that come up.
The D.Had a small leak ind the ceiling so I called these people. They had good ratings. Plumber comes out within the time they said. He went upstairs for a while came back down. Did that about 8 times and then said he couldn't find anything. It was like he got paid by the hour and was wasting time. My wife pointed to the wet molded ceiling and said, ""Maybe you could cut a small hole."" He had no drop cloth, nothing to clean the mess up with and used our kitchen trash can. My wife had to clean the mess. It took him about ten minutes to fix the small leak in the pipe. He charged us $140 for labor! Total bill was 171.50. Oh ya, and he doesn't repair the drywall. So I'm now left with a hole in the ceiling and I paid the man $140 for a ten minute job. thank god its a rental and I can at least write it off. Never again will I use the company.
Chuck S.The work that Jack Ward did for us is amazing. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. They got our vintage fittings just right. We live in a house that was built in 1953... Not an easy job but they were professional and efficient as heck!!! A+
Aaron D.Buddy from Jack Ward & Sons Plumbing has provided fast, friendly, dependable and efficient service.
I like that Buddy willingly offers suggestions or opinions on ways to maintain or upgrade the plumbing infrastructure in our house, but there's never any pressure or hard sell techniques.
The employees in the office who answer the phone are also very personable and helpful.
Wade J S.Okay - I know, to review a plumber. Not exactly very exciting, but on how much you can or will end up spending for services most of us know little or nothing about, this review couldn't be more important.
I prefer to keep my money local if st all possible which is done if you use Ward. Check out their site to get an idea of how they run their business, because there is no doubt that it's just not words. It's my impression that they mean what they say. Good principals and ethics are their pillars and there's no question that theywmean it. I had my shower faucet replaced which is normally a straight forward request, however not on my condo. We originally thought it was accessed via the clothes closet. We were wrong. Actually it was in the utility closet behind the water heater. It meant removing the water heater to gain access. When the plumber informed me of that I could just see $$$. After all was said and done, Travis managed to remove the water heater, gained access and the job was completed on time and within the estimate. He was very personable and a pleasure to do business with. I will gladly request him as well.
